DİDEM ÜRER: The Hasene government in Bangladesh, a supporter of India, is known for its oppressive actions against Islamic communities for a long time. Lately, after the government took preventive precautions against slanders against our Prophet (saas) and Islam, there was a riot in the country. One million people gathered for protest. The government started a civil war as a result. The military forces took random shots at the community and killed people. Allegedly 2,500 people were martyred in the events that has lasted for two days.

ADNAN OKTAR: The world has turned into a blood bath but some people don't know or even care. They are focusing on non-urgent subjects like how to eat soup, whether melon is sunnah, how to talk when going out of the house, which hand we need to use to eat. The whole world is in turmoil and blood is flowing in streams; the world of Islam is ruined and they simply don't care. Some people follow those whom they think to be experts on this. However a true Muslim recognizes the disasters and dangers Muslims face and shows Muslims a safe passage. He strives for the Islamic Union and the way of the Mahdi. He strives for the return of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and for his students to carry out their works easily. He loves Allah. He never gets on with his own business only. When I mention this, some people don't like it; they only want to talk about their salary, food and travel.

They are ruining the Muslim world. The army of the anti-Christ has surrounded the world. They are ruining young women and young men. This is so both in Syria and Bangladesh.

Moreover, they are trying to get Muslims accustomed to slander. They say, “What happens if he insults your religion and faith? Does he insult your own person? So what? He is only insulting Allah (Allah is beyond that).” They say, “Don't worry; he is only insulting your religion. Get used to it.” They are trying to get other countries used to killing people. They say, “So what if he is dead?” They say, “They are killing them. What is it to you? Mind your own business.” Such an inconceivable oppression and remorselessness tyrannize the world.

For example, no one cares about this situation in Bangladesh. People are dancing in clubs in Europe and everyone everywhere is having a good time. When a Muslim dies, some [Christian] Evangelicals thank Allah since they think that Gog and Magog are dead, that the army of the anti-Christ is dead. They consider the death of Muslims as an act of worship and they are very proud about that. They say, “Look; the army of the anti-Christ is eradicated. They are evil.” For example, Bush announced Muslims were the devil. He said, “We are killing the devil; we are not killing human beings; they are the devil.” There is such a horrifying situation.

Those who don't care about the Islamic Union are paralyzing Muslims by falling into the anti-Christ’s trap and striving to weaken Muslims. When it is urgent to distribute books, CDs and organize conferences, when it is urgent to strive for Islam to prevail throughout the world, they say, “There is nothing wrong.”

They stabbed the Fenerbahce football club fan Burak Yıldırım with a knife. The lovelessness in some youth is outrageous. The one who commits that murder carries the knife with him knowing he may defend himself when he encounters anything. He has made preparations beforehand; see that he has already killed love in his heart and that is horrendous. This means he has already believed that he would murder him, stab him. A terrible world is presented to people.

The fans are normally pious people, masha’Allah, but a segment of them have a lack of love. Those fans, for instance, move in groups and when they encounter someone they pick on that person or attempt to beat him. This has become something of a custom, a tradition. Why resort to stabbing people with knives, or beating or cursing them? When you come across them, you may make jokes and jests.

For instance, you may joke and say ‘We won’ and you may cheer. Or he can say, ‘Next time we will win.’ But this soul inclined to murder; this lovelessness and violence have dispersed among the youth like a philosophy among the youngsters and even welcomed by some as normal behavior. That is why many of them have knives with them or similar things like steel shanks. Those are intended to murder or attack for defense. How dreadful these things are. Moreover, that one is not even aware what he is perpetrating. This person who killed Burak Yıldırım says, ‘I am not aware of what I did’, and ‘I just pulled out the knife,’ but they are only encountering people.

Fans of those football clubs should reconcile with one another and make jokes, insha’Allah. They may sit and eat together. This is sports, right? What is the reason for this hatred and violence? This distance from love and compassion is so widely dispersed.

The reason for this is that the Mahdi (pbuh) has not appeared yet. If the Mahdi (pbuh) had appeared, he would be teaching love in a week or ten days. Then that matter could be resolved right away and the youngsters would be embracing one another with love and affection. That would result in an amazingly loving atmosphere. The Alawites would embrace the Sunni, and the Fenerbahce football club fans would take the fans of Besiktas or Galatasaray football club in their arms. The wise ones out of the fans of the Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas football clubs would never resort to such negative behavior but there are some youth among them who have an inclination to lovelessness.

For instance, they made the implication that the black football player of the Galatasaray football club is an ape. This is a disaster; in fact, they are the children of the Prophet Adam (pbuh), the Prophet Noah (pbuh). We even have moles all over our own bodies, and these are the spots we have received from our ancestors. This means we also have genes of the black race. In other words, everyone has the genetics of the black people, but Allah created those people as part of the black race. The Prophet Adam (pbuh) also possessed the genes of the black race in his body, and this was expressed in his lineage. Therefore, this is found as part of all human beings. Those spots and moles on our bodies are preserved as the signs of those genes.

Drogba tried to protect himself by means of the theory of evolution, but that is irrelevant. He should have said, ‘We are all the children of the Prophet Adam (pbuh).’ If you come up with the theory of evolution, then you will have put their claims into practice.

That is not the right solution. Reconciliation is only through encouraging the spirit of love and brotherhood.

What are the problems in the world? They all stem from lack of love. A structure that takes love and compassion as a basis should be established. That is what human soul actually needs.

An Alawi brother of ours has written. “Master, there are many negative sentiments about Alawis. Could you answer them?” I have personally seen and known how religious, decent and honorable my own uncle is. His Alawi friends used to come and I have witnessed how religious and decent they were. My other uncle was also an Alawi. He was also a very reasonable, rational and religious man. In addition, I stayed at Hacibektas for three days at an Alawi village, an Alawi town, a Hacibektas town. I have had many Alawi friends. They were all very decent, very noble, out-going and trustworthy people.

It is wrong to say, “Alawis are called such and such but this is not so.” Those people who say these things are not as good as Alawis. Alawi means lover of Allah and lover of Hazrat Ali (as). Alawi means lover of Ahl Al-Bayt, someone full of love. They love people. They love children, the elderly, music, and say nice words and speak in an erudite way. They are people of peace and reason. He talks eruditely. For example, Yunus Emre is an Alawi. Yunus Emre has great sayings, doesn't he? Wisdom and beauty; Alawis are like light.

Alawis have a very strong love for Hazrat Ali (as). Alawis are very mature. If they ask me, “Would you go to a bigot’s house or an Alawi’s house?” I would prefer to go to an Alawi’s house. Bigots have no love. They don't have any compassion and friendship. Alawis are not like that. When they take the saz (a stringed musical instrument) into their hands, Allah gives them inspiration and they write great lyrics. Alawi sayings are amazing; they say great words full of love and compassion through inspiration.

I used to speak with the people in Hacı Bektas. They are very mature. They are mature in a way that I cannot describe. They are amazing people. I entered into a dervish house of Hacibektas and something happened there: I became more mature by Allah’s leave. Something happened. I am telling the truth. When I came back to Ankara, they told me, “You became more mature.” It has a small dervish house made of stone. Haci Bektas has a small window. For example, Haci Bektas always has lamb and deer. He is a great man of love. Also, sincere Sunni people are very decent. There are sick people among Alawis and Sunnis as well, right? But this is not a measurement. Alawi means love and compassion.

The hadiths about Hazrat Mahdi came down to us these days thanks to Alawis otherwise most of them would have been forgotten. To tell the truth, our Sunni brothers have not protected them very well. There are at most 100 hadiths in Sunni sources but in Alawi sources there are thousands. The hadiths about the Mahdi are in 100 volumes. They did not forget the love of Mahdi. They have preserved it. They should place our brothers all around Hatay. There are a handful of communists in Hatay only they don't like this situation. The so-called Ergenekon terrorist organization has agents there. They don't like it. It would be wrong to put our dear brothers in a difficult situation just because they said so.

This is unbelievable. They are sending them back. They could at least keep them waiting by the border; somewhere 50 meters or 100 meters away from the border. They shall halt at a point 100 meters away from the border; they would be provided with food there and other means as well. Assad's forces could not enter there - he cannot bomb the border. This is very difficult. All right then, no problem; they could wait at the border. They could set up tents along the border. We can still find a good location but they should come there especially. What are we going to say if Allah asks us, “Why did you give them away to murderers? Why did you hand these innocent people over to murderers? Would you have it if they handed you to murderers?” May Allah forbid!

What else could people who frantically escaped to save their lives do? There is an extraordinary situation. People are waiting for them there with guns in their hands. It is unbelievable to say, “Let’s send them back!” This is a horrible proposal.

This is a great cruelty and cruelty brings disaster. May Allah forbid! This is oppression. It is horrible. Whoever did it, he made a big mistake. DİDEM ÜRER: Mr. Ali Bulaç wrote an article that said; “The upper-identity must be Islam.” He commented, “If the upper-identity were atheism, then everyone would be forcibly made atheists like Mao and Stalin. If it were Christianity, you would make everyone Christians. If you select a specific race, you would exclude the other races. However, if Islam were accepted as an upper-identity then none of these would happen. There would be no compulsion on non-Muslims. Freedom of expression would be protected; otherwise only slander and violence would be used. Every ethnic group would speak its own language; otherwise every official identity would oppress the other. The only way is to choose Islam as the upper-identity.”

ADNAN OKTAR: But in practice this is like this. For example, when we describe the Turkish people, we say that everyone who lives in Turkey is Turkish. This is a unifying expression. Islam is meant. Turkishness and Islam go hand in hand. It doesn't have another meaning insha’Allah. Islam is a religion which also protects those who are non-Muslims. It is a religion which also protects atheists. It is a religion which protects polytheists and idolatry.

Therefore Islam would of course be the cornerstone because it is based on compassion, mercy and protection. Had there been no Islam, the Turkish people would be devastated and there would not be a people called 'Turkish'. We would be scattered about and divided.

Black or white, all people, all of us are the children of the Prophet Adam (pbuh). Treating black people disrespectfully would be a vicious shame and a grave unjustness.
