Surat al-Anam, Verse 80

His people argued with him. He said, ‘Are you arguing with me about Allah when He has guided me? I have no fear of any partner you ascribe to Him unless my Lord should will such a thing to happen. My Lord encompasses all things in His knowledge so will you not pay heed?

Almighty Allah says, “His people argued with him.” Today, we see the same thing happening with some people entering such a state of dispute. “He said, ‘Are you arguing with me about Allah when He has guided me?” because Allah has specified the path and how things will happen: Almighty Allah says that Prophet Jesus (as) will descend and Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear. The salvation will be by means of Hazrat Mahdi (as). And this is what is reasonable, for only a single mind, a single wisdom can gather people, together. If other parties get involved in the decision making process, then anarchy will ensue. And this is exactly what is happening at the moment.

Surah Al Imran, Verse 104

Let there be a community among you who call to the good, and enjoin the right, and forbid the wrong. They are the ones who have success.

Almighty Allah says, I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed satan. “Those We have given the Book recognise it as they recognize their own sons. Yet a group of them knowingly conceal the truth.”

This is the community of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and Prophet Jesus (as). The system of Hazrat Mahdi (as), the community of Hazrat Mahdi (as). The fact that Hazrat Mahdi (as) and Prophet Jesus (as) seem to be apart at the moment, should not mislead them; they are actually a single community. Hazrat Mahdi (as) is the leader, he is the imam; Prophet Jesus (as) is his vizier. They operate through two different paths, but they are a single community. When we say, “The system of Mahdi”, we mean both the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and of Prophet Jesus (as). They are all the same. That is to say, it would be incorrect to assume that they are two different groups, for Prophet Jesus (as) knows this by revelation and the hadith of our Prophet (saas). Hazrat Mahdi (as) is imam; that is what Prophet Jesus (as) himself says. He says, “You are my imam and I adhere to you.” Once the imam and the vizier are obvious, there are the followers of the vizier and of Hazrat Mahdi (as). They all become the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Prophet Jesus (as) also becomes the vizier of Hazrat Mahdi (as), insha’Allah.

Surat al-Baqara, Verse 146

Those We have given the Book recognize it as they recognize their own sons. Yet a group of them knowingly conceal the truth.

Notice that it is said; “Those We have given the Book,” There is reference to the People of the Book, but of course Allah also granted a book to us. Those who have faith, “recognize it as they recognize their own sons.” Allah describes in such a way that they recognize him when they see him as if he is their own son. It is because Allah describes his eye brows, mouth, nose, height in such a way that, they immediately recognize him. “Yet a group of them knowingly conceal the truth.” Allah explains the situation of such people [who feign ignorance]. The system of Mahdi is very clear, and those people will recognize him fine. What does Allah say? “Yet a group of them knowingly conceal the truth.” There is surely a reference to our Prophet (saas) but there is also a very clear reference to the end of the times. Its abjad calculation is very interesting. It gives the date of 1950s. The dates following the 1950s. What happened after the 50s? Masha’Allah.

Abdulaziz ibn Muslim related as follows: "When Almighty Allah selects Imam Mahdi to administer His other servants’ works, He opens his heart so as to make him handle this task. He inspires him such a knowledge that he never finds it difficult to answer any question, he never swerves from the truth. He never gives an vague answer. For this reason, Imam Mahdi, who is assigned by Allah to administer the works of His servants, is innocent. He is supported and rendered successful. He is shown to the right path. He is purified from flaws, slips of the tongues and missteps. Allah created him (Imam Mahdi) special for this work, so that he becomes his perfect evidence for His servants and the witness among the created.” (Faith and disbelief / Usul al-Qafi (Al-Usul min Al-Qafi) Al-Qulayn, Volume 1)

"When Almighty Allah selects Imam Mahdi to administer His other servants’ works, He opens his heart so as to make him handle this task.” Allah will give him wisdom. [Some] people think that Hazrat Mahdi (as) has independent power of his own. The truth is, Hazrat Mahdi (as) is a shadow being that is under the control of Allah. Allah just makes him instrumental for the reign of Islam. That’s it. The entire might belongs to Allah alone. Allah creates all the steps, words and letters [of Hz.Mahdi]. What he is going to say had already been set before he was even born from his mother. The same hadith says,

“He inspires in him such a knowledge that he never finds it difficult to answer any question,” Masha’Allah. He has such a knowledge that Hazrat Mahdi (as) never says, “I don’t know.” Hazrat Mahdi (as) explains in the best way. May Allah make us followers of him and benefit from his knowledge.

“…he never swerves from the truth” He never swerves from the truth, because he is accompanied by Gabriel and Michael [the Archangels]. Cubbeli says, “I would also not swerve from the truth if I were also accompanied by angels.” “That is what happens when Allah predestines it.” He is right. For instance he says, “If the knowledge given to Prophet Jesus (as) were given to me, I would also revive the dead, insha’Allah.” All power belongs to Allah. Allah’s might is manifested there because Allah allows it.

And “…He never gives an inexact answer.”

Masha'Allah, masha’Allah. Indeed, if he says something inaccurate, the angel immediately warns him to correct it. Gabriel and Michael inspires in his heart, and wants him to correct his words. But that is just an inspiration, he will just feel it so in his heart.

“Imam Mahdi, who is assigned by Allah to administer the works of His servants, is innocent. He is supported and rendered succesful.”

When one thinks that he has done something wrong, he in fact does the right thing. One says, “He has done a big mistake.” No, this is not the case. It is what is right, for it is the order of Almighty Allah. “There is blessing in disguise.” There is goodness in every act of Hazrat Mahdi (as).

Surat al-Araf, Verse 55

Call on your Lord humbly and secretly. He does not love those who overstep the limits.

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed satan. “He does not love those who overstep the limits.”

Praying to Allah should be done very sincerely. We need to attain that special concentration, that special spirit of sincerity. And the prayers should not necessarily be long. CONCISE, PROFOUND AND SINCERE PRAYER IS VERY IMPORTANT. IT SHOULD BE HEARTFELT, INSHA’ALLAH.

Surat al-Araf, Verse 66

The ruling circle of those of his people who were disbelievers said, ‘We consider you a fool and think you are a liar.’ Notice what they say to our Prophet (saas). “The ruling circle of those of his people who were unbelievers:” Some prominent figures of that time, for instance the leading people from the media, the members of the high society, the complacent so-called intellectuals, the irreligious people of that time. “We consider you a fool” That is to say, they called our Prophet insane. The snobs of that time. “... and think you are a liar” Surely Prophet Mohammed is beyond that. They called him a liar and a fraud, because [Islam] did not suit their interests. In the End Times what will they call Hazrat Mahdi (as)? The same thing; they will say, “You are a liar and an insane person.”

A reader wrote : “Mr. Adnan Oktar, our Prophet (saas) has a hadith; ‘Laughter is from satan. A smile is from Allah.’ In your program, masha’Allah, there is always laughter…”

Look let me tell you something. The Companions were laughing out loud. In the verse it is said that believers laugh at the situation of the polytheists out loud. Allah humiliates them; He shames them in the hereafter. They grovel. They try to escape from hell. They try to escape from where they came from; they jump and fall down. They think that they could get out of there. They think that they found some way to escape and they scheme about it. Muslims see them and laugh out loud sitting on their thrones. Allah says, “So today those who have faith are laughing at non-believers.” They laugh at polytheists out loud. They do not smile. They laugh out loud.

However TODAY BELIEVERS LAUGH AT THOSE WHO ARE NON-BELIEVERS.

SO TODAY WHO HAVE FAITH ARE LAUGHING AT NON-BELIEVERS, ON COUCHES, GAZING IN WONDER. (Surat at-Mutaffifin, 34-35)

Laughter brings relief and opens the mind. There are people who cry all the time. They cry from morning to night. What do they say? They say, “Cry all the time. Don't laugh.” When a person feels like laughing, he laughs. Why “...smile a little”? Does it have a standard? This is wrong. A Muslim can laugh, as he likes. He is joyful and cheerful.

If we were to act according to those false hadiths of yours, let me tell you, it would be impossible. It is also said, “Kill those who do not pray.” Women are accepted as only half a person according to one hadith. It is said that they are half a person and they could never become rulers. It is said, “Do the opposite of what they say.” According to the false explanations of what you call hadiths, these are so; but all of these are fabricated and none are paralleled in the Qur’an.

A hadith is a hadith only if it is in agreement with the Qur’an. Laughter; you laugh as you like. However with the bigots, that's not the case. According to you, we cannot sit at a table. We have to sit on the floor. We cannot also wear a jacket. It is also wrong to have a hair cut like this. There is no end to it. According to the false hadiths you mentioned, when a woman, a donkey or a pig is passing by, you cannot pray. He will not pray and then you will kill him. He will not give alms and then you will kill him. He will not fast and then you will kill him. What kind of religion is this? None of these things are in the Qur’an. Allah says in the verse, “THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION...” (Surat al-Baqara, 256) What do you say? You say, “It is forbidden to laugh.” Laughter is forbidden. Music is also forbidden. You will not listen to music. You will not sit at a table. You will not use forks and spoons. You also cannot use a toothbrush.

Those who did evil used to laugh at those who had faith.

When they passed by them, they would wink at one another.

When they returned to their families, they would make a joke of them.

When they saw them, they would say, ‘Those people are misguided.’

But they were not sent as guardians over them.

(Surat Al-Mutaffifin Suresi, 29-33)

Look Allah says, “Non-believers were laughing at believers in this world.” Sinners are laughing at believers. Allah says, " When they passed by them, they would wink at one another.” Now they are mocking the system of the Mahdi in their own way. Surely, Allah is beyond that. They are also mocking the Prophet Jesus (pbuh). Allah says, “When they returned to their families, they would make a joke of them.” They were saying, “When they saw them, they would say, ‘Those people are misguided.’” Pay close attention here. Look at what they say to believers: “Those people are misguided.” What are they going to say to the Mahdi? “Misguided.” What does Allah say in the verse? He says, “They would say, ‘Those people are misguided.’” They will use the same words for the Mahdi. Even our Prophet (saas) says in one hadith, “The scholar in Istanbul will say to the Mahdi, ‘This man is misguided. He is an apostate. Do not approach him’” This is the hadith. Allah says in the verse, “But they were not sent as guardians over them.” Look, this is very meaningful. “But they were not sent as guardians over them.” They are trying to be guardians over the believers. “So today those who have faith are laughing at non-believers.” They are not smiling; they are laughing out loud. “On their couches, gazing in wonder” Allah says. “Have the non-believers been rewarded for what they did?” Allah says. Abide by the commandments in the Qur’an. Do not follow the wrong things. Do not make wrong judgments in the name of Allah. Look. I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed satan. Allah says, “Who could do greater wrong than someone who invents lies against Allah or denies His Signs? Evildoers are certainly not successful.” There is a verse: “Who could do greater wrong than someone who invents lies against Allah…” (Surah Yunus, 17) Almighty Allah says, “Do not say about what your lying tongues describe”, this is very meaningful. Allah says, “Do not say about what your lying tongues describe: ‘This is halal and this is haram.’” (Surat an-Nahl, 116). What do you say? You are trying to explain to Muslims a commandment that is not in the Qur’an as the commandment of Allah, and you invite Muslims to follow your lead. Allah is surely beyond that, but you are forging a new Qur’an, a new book, a new commandment, a new way. Allah is truly beyond that. You consider the commandments of Allah, the Holy Qur’an, as somehow insufficient. (Allah and the Qur’an are surely beyond that). No way. Among them is a group who distort the Book with their tongues so that you think it is from the Book when it is not from the Book. They say, ‘It is from Allah,’ but it is not from Allah. They tell a lie against Allah and they know it. (Surah Al ‘İmran, 78)

ADNAN OKTAR: Allah creates everything, but makes his servants the means for that. Surely, there are always causes. There might be a lot of elements, people, departments and individuals that played a role in this, but the truth is, we’ve done a lot to achieve this, too. This is an obvious fact.

Whoever helped ensure this, may Allah be pleased with them because it is not nice to live like our friend is our enemy. It is nice to be friends, nice to love, nice to be brothers and sisters; love, compassion, trust, close relationships, friendship, brotherhood - these are very nice feelings.

Insha’Allah, we will build Islamic Union and Israel will be a part of it. Insha’ Allah, those days are approaching, the world is getting ready for that. Syria, Israel, Armenia, the Turkic Republics, Russia; we will all unite and, insha’ Allah, it will be a very happy and beautiful outcome

“It would be wrong to offend Israel, with respect to the apology”

But of course, we have to be very careful not to offend the Israelis, and not write columns that would put the Israeli government in a difficult position. There are some people writing things like ‘This is how we do it, we made you bow down, we scared you, etc.’ Shame on them, that’s very inappropriate. They should learn manners.

[Some people are asking:] “What does Israel want in exchange for an apology?” What do you think? Our friendship, our warm neighborly feelings. What else can there be? May Allah be pleased with all those people who were instrumental in this. Our brothers have done a lot, but I worked for it, too. Insha’Allah we had an indirect input in this, but Allah is the One who creates it, insha’ Allah.

DİDEM ÜRER: Many, many news websites reported that you were the one that brought this apology from Israel.

ADNAN OKTAR: I don’t understand the fuss about this. They are acting as if I said ‘I made the peace, I did it all’. I am not saying that, where did this come from? I might have played a role. Many people may have played a role and indeed, civil society played a great role in that. They are the ones who are saying this, not me. The Israeli government officials are saying this. And we really worked hard to achieve this. That’s a fact.

Do we have pictures of that? Let’s show them.

DİDEM ÜRER: Yes Master, we do.

ADNAN OKTAR: Here look, for example we talked to the Israeli Interior Affairs Minister. Obviously, we talked about something with him, we must have said something to him. Obviously, he said things to us. We are not saying everything here. I knew that this was going to happen and before they apologized, I said ‘Israel is going to apologize for the Mavi Marmara’ months before it happened.

We always had a loving, compassionate approach. Were there others that had a loving, compassionate approach to Israel? Remember those seeking a policy of tension ? Who worked for Turkish-Israeli friendship? There is no way one could overlook our efforts in thi:. No need to be jealous. If there was anyone else, let me hear about it. Maybe only a handful of people. Usually, people chose to adopt a hostile, hateful approach. Many people chose to hate. Many people started feeling like the Jews were equal to satan, Hasa (surely they are beyond that). We’ve done a lot to alleviate that tension.

Picture those people, who really worked for this, in a most active and sincere way. Tell me how many people you can think of in Turkey, when it comes to Israel-Turkey relationship, working for this friendship? Go and ask people. Go ask people on the streets to name the people they think of when it comes to rebuilding the friendship between Turkey and Israel. Allah knows how much those people worked for it, even if you try to deny it or undermine their efforts.

Anyway, it is not that I was doing it for their appreciation in the first place. Allah being happy with what we did, that’s what matters to us; we just want Allah to appreciate us. We are not seeking the approval or appreciation of people. The truth is, we really worked for it and we hope that, for our efforts, Almighty Allah will be pleased with us in the hereafter, insha ‘Allah. That’s enough for us. And we never said that we were the main element in this to begin with. I’ve never said that. But among those people, who became instrumental in that, we are one of the most influential. This is a fact, there is no point in denying it. And we were successful, because we approached the matter with love and compassion.

They say, “Obama got the apology from Israel”. He has no power on his own, the Jewish lobby made him the President.”

They say, ‘Obama helped do it’. They say Obama instructed Israel. Israel would simply laugh at that. Or they say, “It is the Jewish lobby that made Obama the President”. The Jewish lobby is very strong in the Congress. Remember, when almost the entire Congress sent letters to our Prime Minister asking him to take back his words, asking him to ‘rephrase what he said’. So they have a great control over the American Congress. If they are in control of the American Congress, they are in control of the USA, and Obama. So what are they talking about? Obama is just an ordinary man, a normal person that needs support. He doesn’t have a power of his own.

They say, “Palestine and Syria helped get the Israeli apology”. How could it be? They keep bombing Palestine incessantly. Syria has enough on its plate right now."

They say, “It’s because of Palestine”. They keep bombing Palestine all the time. [Although wrong] They don’t even take them seriously. How could Palestine have played any part in that?

They say, “Syria must have done it”. Syria has enough on its plate at the moment. How could they have done anything about it?

“We’ve been in contact with many senior government officials from Israel to solve the problem...”

Who else would do it? There is only a bunch of people. There are a bunch of NGO's. May Allah be pleased with him, FORMER FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER, MR. YAŞAR YAKIŞ, PLAYED A HUGE ROLE. SOME PARLIAMENT MEMBERS HELPED, BUT WE INTRODUCED THEIR JEWISH PEERS TO THEM AND HELPED THEM MAKE THIS CONNECTION. WE MADE THAT CONNECTION. Of course, many good people worked for it. But if you ask, who was instrumental in that, we made a great deal of effort to achieve it.

I AM NOT SAYING WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DID IT. I HAVE NEVER SAID ANYTHING LIKE THAT. If others made such comments, that is not my concern. If some websites made those comments, that’s their business. I haven’t said anything like that.

WHAT I SAID IS, WE ARE SINCERELY WORKING FOR IT, AND WE EXPECT ALLAH TO APPRECIATE AND LOVE US FOR IT. WE ARE NOT EXPECTING THANKS OR APPRECIATION FROM ANYONE. AND IF WE PLAYED EVEN A PARTIAL ROLE IN MAKING THIS COME TRUE, THEN THANKS TO ALLAH, INSHA’ ALLAH.

HOWEVER, IT IS US WHO INTRODUCED THE JEWS TO MASTER NEVZAT YALÇINTAŞ. Master Nevzat Yalçıntaş is a person who knows a lot of people in very important places and he is a beloved name, consulted by many. And IT IS AGAIN US WHO INTRODUCED THE JEWISH DELEGATION TO MASTER YAŞAR YAKIŞ. It is us who motivated, encouraged and worked for this friendship, brotherhood and renewed ties.

DİDEM ÜRER: And master, THIS GENTLEMAN IS THE MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS AND VICE PRIME MINISTER OF ISRAEL AND IT IS THE SECOND TIME WE ARE MEETING WITH HIM, insha’ Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Many of those people don’t know about all those names that I’ve been talking to. They are unaware of the connections my friends have with many names. It is because we are not telling you everything; this is just what you see. There is a lot more that you do not see.

Let me see the other pictures. Masha’Allah. Look at it, former Ministers, Parliament Members, master Yaşar Yakış, masha’Allah. And important names from Israel, Knesset members, they all worked to make this come true. All these people you see here, they all worked to achieve this. But we are the ones who were instrumental in making this come true. It would be wrong to deny that.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, these people are the ones that are leading the basic policies of Israel, they are the decision-makers. Yes.

MUCAHIT DALOGLU, THE FORMER PM OF THE AKP; HALIL SIVGIN, THE FORMER MINISTER OF HEALTH; PROF. DR. YASAR YAKIS, FORMER FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER OF THE AKP; PROF. DR. ADNAN OKTAR: May Allah be pleased with them, all of those who came here and made great efforts. And many other great people that we respect a lot. Former Ministers, Parliament Members, all of them, they worked a lot for this, may Allah be pleased with them. And we got great results.

The friendship of Israel and Turkey is crucial for the Islamic Union. May Allah be pleased with them all. Thus, a problem, a conflict has come to an end. We will make the same effort to achieve the same great results with Armenia, Azerbaijan and others as well. And I am doing it, insha’ Allah, as much as I can. Even if it is a contribution that is small, it is a great result for us. Still, everything is very obvious. There is no point in feigning ignorance.

ADNAN OKTAR: WE MET AYYOUB KARA, WHEN HE CAME HERE. HE ALSO CAME TO OUR MEETING IN THE HOTEL. I MET WITH THE CHIEF RABBIS. WE HAD ALSO MEETINGS CLOSED TO THE PRESS, MEETINGS WITH ONLY THREE TO FIVE PEOPLE. And we talked about these things in a detailed manner.

Many people felt hopeless. They had no hope, they thought that this could never be achieved. We encouraged them over and over again, helped them to be more motivated. We overcame that air of despair. Surat al-Anfal, Verse 73

Those who are unbelievers are the friends and protectors of one another. If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.

Disbelievers ally and so do believers. However, MUSLIMS ALSO WANT TO INCLUDE THE DISBELIEVERS IN THEIR ALLIANCE, INSHA’ALLAH. But in compliance with this verse, the alliance of Muslims, their uniting is obligatory. On the contrary, Allah says “I will devastate you then. I will give you mischief.” As you can see, the Islamic world has been ruined and all corners of the world are in devastation. Allah says, “BUT IF YOU ALLY, I WILL REMOVE MISCHIEF. OTHERWISE THESE SCOURGES WILL FOLLOW YOU.” For a hundred years the Islamic world has been struggling against these scourges. These scourges will come to an end when they follow Hazrat Mahdi (as) and Prophet Jesus (as), insha’Allah. See that the Islamic world has been defeated and there is mischief going on everywhere.

WHAT HAS TO BE DONE FIRST IS TO FORTIFY THE FAITH OF PEOPLE WITH THE MIRACLES OF THE QUR'AN AND THE SIGNS LEADING TO FAITH.

It is all a matter of faith. If a person has a profound faith, then he has great morality. He becomes perfect. If he has a weak faith, then his power would not suffice to accomplish many things. Consequently you can not obtain any results if you present tasawwuf related descriptions to a person with weak faith. We must deepen his faith with the miracles of the Qur'an and the signs leading to faith. Then you can say whatever you wish. This is what is right and reasonable. He has weak faith but you are speaking about tasawwuf to him. How will it be? WISDOM IS IMPORTANT. HE WILL SEE IT THROUGH HIS WISDOM AND THEN HIS HEART WILL APPROVE IT. WISDOM AND THE HEART MUST HAVE EQUAL STRENGTH; THEY WILL WORK TOGETHER. IF ONE DOES NOT EMPLOY HIS WISDOM, THEN ONLY THE HEART BRINGS ABOUT WEAK FAITH. THAT KIND OF A FAITH, WISDOM AND THE HEART TOGETHER BECOMES STRONG AND INFLUENTIAL, INSHA’ALLAH.

Surat al-Ankabut, Verse 14

“We sent Noah to his people and he remained among them for fifty short of a thousand years; yet the Flood engulfed them while they were wrongdoers.” That is irreligion that is coming to an end. 950 years. As you know, Turks are from the descent of Prophet Noah (as). As you know, Prophet Noah (as) had sons and one of them was Yafes. It is said that Turks descended from him. Indeed, everyone is from the lineage of Prophet Noah (as). Everyone in this world is from the lineage of Noah. We Turks came to Anatolia in 1071, as you know. We settled in Anatolia. Allah granted this country to us in 1071. 1071 plus 950 equals to 2021. What does this mean? Irreligion ends in 2021, by the leave of Allah. Neither Darwinism, nor materialism, nothing of that sort remains by 2021. This is the wisdom in those 950 years, insha’Allah. We, who are the sons of Prophet Noah (as), will spread the Unity of Islam to Anatolia 950 years later. 2021 is the date of victory, insha’Allah. 1071 plus 950. Those dates are not given for no reason in the Qur'an. They definitely mean something. There is reference in this verse that there will be something in 1950s, for there is 1000 and we subscribe 50 from 1000, which means 1950. In 1950s, there is something. The verse gives special codes.

Surah Muhammad, Verse 24

Will they not then ponder the Qur’an or are there locks upon their hearts?

“Will they not then ponder the Qur’an?’ because when we think deeply, much wisdom, many secrets appear. “...or are there locks upon their hearts?” They can not see because their hearts are locked.

Surah Muhammad Suresi, Verse 25

“Those who have turned back in their tracks after the guidance became clear to them, it was Shaytan who talked them into it and filled them with false hopes.”

Guidance has become clear: Darwinism and materialism are abolished, materialism is abolished, the miracles of the Qur'an have appeared. Allah says that despite all these, those who revert to irreligion have been provoked by evil and filled with false hopes. They are grabbed by the vain deeds of this world.

THE GOOD MUSLIM IS THE ONE WHO WANTS TO BE THE SOIL, HE IS THE MOST HUMBLE ONE.

Almighty Allah says:

Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not quarrel among yourselves lest you lose heart and your momentum disappear. And be steadfast. Allah is with the steadfast. (Surat al-Anfal, 46)

“...do not quarrel among yourselves lest you lose heart”. So this is in no way acceptable. A MUSLIM HAS TO BE LIKE THE SOIL. HE MUST BE THE MOST HUMBLE ONE. HE MUST NOT TRY TO BE THE HEAD, HE MUST STRIVE TO BE ALWAYS THE FEET. The ambition of trying to be the head is abnormal. It is an ambition pertaining to the lower self. It is not fine. THE MUSLIM WHO HAS THE MOST PIETY, THE BEST OF THE MUSLIMS IS THE ONE WHO WANTS TO BE THE FEET, THE ONE WHO WANTS TO BE THE SERVANT. HE WANTS TO BE THE SOIL. THAT IS WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE. For this reason saying, “I am the leader, I am the best” is not accurate; such desires stem from the lower self. They are wicked ambitions. An ambition for a great reputation does not befit a Muslim. IN ORDER FOR THE LOWER-SELF TO BE DICIPLINED, A PERSON MUST ALWAYS SEE HIS LOWER SELF IN WEAKNESS. HE MUST SURRENDER HIMSELF TO ALLAH. HE MUST LOVE HIS BROTHERS VERY MUCH. HE MUST LOOK WITH COMPASSION. HE MUST EXPERIENCE THE ZEAL OF BEING THEIR SERVANTS. FOR INSTANCE, THERE IS A BIG COMMUNITY; WHEN YOU ENTER THAT COMMUNITY, ENTER THERE LIKE A SERVANT. ONE HAS TO SAY, “SHALL I BRING YOU ANYTHING TO EAT?”, “DO YOU HAVE ANY ORDERS?”. THIS MUST BE HIS ATTITUDE. A MUSLIM DOES NOT TREAT ANOTHER MUSLIM AS IF HE IS A SULTAN. Bediuzzaman says that a Muslim can not assume a teacher-like attitude towards his brother. It is very humiliating for one to consider himself superior to other Muslims, right? A Muslim must be well aware of his weaknesses; he must be aware that he is a poor servant of Allah. He must try to grab every opportunity to serve his Muslim brothers. Otherwise it would cause mischief, fear, conflict and tension, because if you do not admit humbleness and if you grow arrogant, Allah pours down scourges. MAY ALLAH FORBID. BUT IF YOU BECOME MODEST AND HUMBLE, ALLAH GRANTS PEACE AND BLESSINGS. ALLAH BESTOWS HOLY LIGHT UPON YOU. OTHERWISE. ALLAH TAKES AWAY ONE’S BLESSINGS, PEACE, WISDOM AND HOLY LIGHT, MAY ALLAH FORBID. A Muslim must be very meticulous about it.

Surat al-Muminun, Verse 106

They will say, ‘Our Lord, our miserable destiny overpowered us. We were misguided people.

PEOPLE WHO HAVE MISERABLE FEELINGS ALSO SUFFER MENTALLY. THEIR HEARTS ARE CLOSED TO FAITH. THEY ARE CHEERLESS PEOPLE.

That is the reason why some people want Muslims to weep. They say, “Weep much”! UNBELIEVERS ARE UNHAPPY PEOPLE. THEIR UNHAPPINESS LEADS THEM NOT TO HAVE FAITH AND THEIR UNBELIEF LEADS THEM TO BE UNHAPPY. THIS IS A CLOSED SYSTEM . So in referring them, Almighty Allah says: “Let them laugh little and weep much”. So, some of our Muslim brothers say to other Muslim brothers, “Never laugh but weep much.” What is mentioned in the verse? “Let them laugh little and weep much.” Allah mentions this as a peculiarity of the unbelievers. So why do you want Muslims to weep? Why do you want them to be unhappy? Let the Muslims be happy, joyful and glad. ALLAH WANTS MUSLIMS TO BE HAPPY.

When mentioning people in heaven, Allah states that they have the joy of faith and light on their faces in the verse: “You will recognize in their faces the radiance of delight.” ALLAH APPRECIATES JOY.

Surat al-Muminun, Verses 112-113

He will say, ‘How many years did you tarry on the Earth?’ They will say, ‘We tarried there for a day or part of a day. Ask those able to count!’

That is to say a sleeping time. It is mentioned as “a day”, in other words 24 hours. People here presume that they have simply slept and then woke up. They explain their sincere opinion; hundreds or thousands of years have passed but they could not distinguish.

Surat al-Muminun, Verse 115

‘Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would not return to Us?’

People say Allah exists but there is no religion. In other words they say “the world is created for amusement.” So, “Did you suppose in that way?” asks Allah. “ Are you created for amusement?” He asks.

Surat al-Muminun, Verse 117

Whoever calls on another god together with Allah, has no grounds for doing so at all and his reckoning is with his Lord. Truly the unbelievers have no success.

So Allah says “...whoever calls on another god” in other words, who believes in Darwinism and materialism, “...his reckoning is with his Lord. Truly the unbelievers have no success.” Has the world succeeded as a Darwinist and materialist place? No! They have been at pains. All of Europe has run into debt; people have been ruined everywhere. The Islamic world has been at pains because of Darwinism.

Surat al-Muminun, Verse 118

Say: ‘My Lord, forgive and be merciful! You are the Best of the Merciful.’

This is a prayer of Muslims. They call to Almighty Allah. What a beautiful prayer this is .

Surat al-Muminun, Verse 8

Those who honor their trusts and their contracts;

Here a “contract” is mentioned. Who did we make a contract with? We made a contract with Allah and promised that we will obey the Quran. This is a contract.

Surat al-Muminun, Verse 10

Such people are the inheritors (of the domination of the World and the blessings of the hereafter)

“The domination of the World.” In other words the Unity of Islam. Look, this is mentioned in the verse. “Such people are the inheritors (of the domination of the World and the blessings of the hereafter)” So Allah says if you do this, you will be the inheritors of the domination of the World.

Surat al-Hajj, Verse 73

Mankind! An example has been made, so listen to it carefully. Those whom you call upon besides Allah are not even able to create a single fly, even if they were to join together to do it. And if a fly steals something from them, they cannot get it back. How feeble are both the seeker and the sought!

“Mankind! An example has been made, so listen to it carefully. Those whom you call upon besides Allah are not even able to create a single fly, even if they were to join together to do it. “ Look this is a reply to the evolutionists, isn’t it? Allah says, “They are not even able to create a single fly.” Almighty Allah mentions that you are not able to create even one wing of a fly. “And if a fly steals something from them, they cannot get it back.” Allah shows us here that they are so helpless. “How feeble are both the seeker and the sought.” Allah emphasizes “You are so feeble because I create you in this way.” “You can not create a single fly; you can not make it!” says Allah.

Surat al-Hajj, Verse 74

They do not measure Allah with His true measure. Allah is All-Strong, Almighty.

“They do not measure Allah with His true measure.” Allah states that they do not measure the art of Allah with His true measure in terms of atomic structures, the structure of human beings and the outer world. They do not measure the art, the knowledge and the strength of Allah. Here it is said in the verse: “Allah is All-Strong, Almighty”

Surat al-Hajj, Verse 75

Allah chooses messengers from the angels and from mankind. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

Who are these messengers? Allah chooses the Mahdi, the prophets among the people.

Surat al-Hajj, Verse 78

Struggle for Allah with a kind of struggle due to Him. He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the religion – the religion of your forefather Abraham. He named you Muslims before and also in this, so that the Messenger could be witness against you and you could be witnesses against all mankind. So perform prayer and pay alms and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector – the Best Protector, the Best Helper.

“Struggle for Allah with a kind of struggle due to Him.” Make an effort. Who is Allah referring to? He is referring to all of the Muslims of the world. Look, here is the command of Allah to a community. “Struggle for Allah with a kind of struggle due to Him.” Make an effort. “He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the religion” Here Allah says Islam is an easy religion. “The religion of your forefather Abraham.” Allah says that it is easy just like the religion of the Prophet Abraham. This is the characteristic of the way of the Mahdi; to make the ones who try to show the religion as difficult ineffective by means of science and knowledge. This is the duty of the way of the Mahdi. This is one of the duties of the Mahdi. “He (Allah) named you Muslims before and also in this”. Here Allah mentions that you are called Muslims.

“So that the Messenger could be witness against you and you could be witnesses against all mankind. So perform prayer and pay alms and hold fast to Allah.” Hold fast to the Book. “He is your Protector – the Best Protector, the Best Helper.” What is mentioned here? This is a call to Muslims, and here Allah commands Muslims to struggle together for the sake of Him and to obey the values of the Qur’an. Allah calls them to act in a union; otherwise, you will perish, says Allah.

Surat Al-Ma’ida, Verse 13

But because of their breaking of their covenant, We have cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort the true meaning of words and have forgotten a good portion of what they were reminded of. You will never cease to come upon some act of treachery on their part, except for a few of them. Yet pardon them, and overlook. Allah loves good-doers.

“Because of their breaking of their covenant, We have cursed them,” says Allah. Look, “If you do not obey the Qur'an I will curse them,” says Allah. So they say, “Allah has cursed the Jews.” Brother, if you do not obey the values of the Qur’an, look what Allah says; “But because of their breaking of their covenant, We have cursed them and made their hearts hard.” Hearts like stones. We see this in communists, fascists. We see this in hyper-capitalism. Their hearts are like stones; they are loveless people. When Allah says, “We made their hearts hard”, they imagine that their hearts become petrified. Allah emphasizes the desperateness of the lovelessness.

“They distort the true meaning of words” They change the words. Not only do they change the Qur’an, they change the Risale-i Nur.
