ADNAN OKTAR: Science was still not very advanced when Darwin’s theory was first proposed. Microscopes were very primitive, technical equipment was very primitive, biological knowledge was very primitive and, most important of all, very few fossils had as yet been discovered. When we look at these 100 million fossils we see that they have nearly all been preserved very clearly, like photographs. The common feature of these 100 million fossils is that they all prove creation and have never changed. A locust is still a locust. It has been a locust for 120 million years. The frog has been a frog for 130-140 million years. No changes have ever taken place in any animal.  And it is a great miracle of the century how the theory of evolution is able to be so unconcerned and deceive the public so freely in the face of all this. It is unbelievable. It is a great miracle how masses of professors, intellectuals and rational people believe in such a theory. It is a theory that has collapsed in every respect, a really primitive theory. It is a pagan belief that was first put out during the Sumerian period. It suggests that proteins formed in mud in a swamp. Cells then form from these proteins and various living things from the cells. Living things then developed muscles, eyes, ears and noses and founded such great cities as London and Paris. They construct laboratories and then begin studying their own existence in them.  They say: “Let us see how we turned into human beings and assumed this form from the swamp.” Not even a five-year-old would believe that if you told it. It is unbelievable. It is a great, great miracle. It is utterly amazing. It is amazing how grown-up people can believe it. Take the development of proteins, for instance. Let us imagine that they believed in such a childish thing. It is technically, scientifically impossible for a protein to form by chance. No protein has ever been observed to form by chance anywhere. Even if the environment, the technical environment is provided, an artificial environment, still no protein forms in any way. Because in order for a protein to form, it is like all the articles in a newspaper to appear by spilling a bottle of ink. The one is as impossible as the other. It is inconceivable. They believe in a miracle at every stage. We ask how the cell formed, and they say by a miracle. We ask how the cell issued the command to replicate, and they say by a miracle. We ask about phenomena such as the eye seeing and the ear hearing, in other words where the cell received the instruction to form these from. And they say it was a miracle. The brain perceives the electricity in it, the electricity from the eye, as an image. No such clear, high-quality three-dimensional image has ever been obtained using any technology. But this happens inside a tiny piece of flesh. This is a great miracle and a metaphysical phenomenon, because there is also an entity seeing that image.  Someone sees this electricity, in other words. For example, I am currently seeing an image of you. The notebook in your hand and my papers form in the same place in my brain, as a fully colored three-dimensional image. How does that happen? The light rays from you and these papers come from my eye to the iris. The image is reversed there and turns into electrical energy. This electrical energy then enters the pitch-black inside of the brain. The electrical energy belonging to this image is very clear, colored, and three-dimensional and really appears to exist; in other words, when I look at you I imagine you are really sitting at some distance from me. That is how it appears. But the fact is, you are an image in my brain. You exist externally, but you form as an image in my brain. I experience you through a monitor. There is a monitor in my brain that provides a very sharp image, and I sit at that monitor and look at you. And you are looking at me on the monitor in your own head. It is impossible for anyone to ever leave the monitor in their heads and have direct experience of the image in front of them.  No living thing can do that. Everyone is sitting at their own monitor. The same applies to the cameraman filming here, and to the people managing the state. When the owner of a factory goes there, for instance, he sees an image of the factory in his brain. He can never make direct contact with that factory. Someone counting dollars is counting the dollars in his head. He is counting the dollars at his monitor. But he can never have direct contact with them. He can feel them or perceive an image of them. The same applies to food. Someone eating an apple, for example, can never make direct contact with it. He perceives the smell of the apple, its image, its taste and texture in his brain. He perceives it with his five senses and refers to the collection of these as an apple. The apple exists outside, but he never has direct experience of the apple itself. This is an extraordinary, metaphysical phenomenon to which Darwinists have no answer. If you notice, Darwinists never broach the subject. Whereas it is a hugely important matter. Or take fossils; they are also an insoluble dilemma for them. They explain everything in terms of miracles. But who performs the miracles? They say chance. But chance is the most unconscious entity in the world. What does chance do? You take a handful of sand and throw it around, for instance. It spreads out at random. What is more, it is Allah Who creates it, but no lovely, regular poem or article ever forms from the sand as a result. All that forms is chaotic confusion. Which means that chance can do nothing. The fundamental belief in Darwinism is chance. Chance wherever you look. We ask how the eye formed, for instance. By chance. And how the ear formed. Again by chance. But how did such unconscious, mindless atoms manage to produce entities with minds and consciousness?  They say that one day atoms in a bit of muddy water, unable to see, hear, touch, smell or think, one day decided to combine together and form a protein. It is very complex, but let’s do it, they said. They then decided to make a cell. They then agreed to add flesh and bone to the cell and produce a flawless system. Let us install mitochondria and chromosomes in the cell, they said. And let’s encode millions of bits of data in those chromosomes. There is enough information in a chromosome to fill all the books in a large British library.  A whole library-full of information, in other words.  And that is the information in just one cell, but there are millions, billions of cells in the human body. Each one with a library-full of information. We ask how this happened. By chance, they say. What does belief in such a theory mean? Miracles, miracles, miracles. Never before has Shaytan mocked human beings in such a blatant way. The world was created, but never since its creation has there been such mockery, such gloating on Shaytan’s part. Shaytan must be busting a rib laughing at the state people have come to, saying how did people believe that.  However, I am of the opinion that I have caused Darwinism to lose its power to deceive anyone in the future, insha’Allah. Especially because of the Atlas of Creation. From now on Darwinism will no longer be able to deceive everyone at will. Because the Sun has finally come up. People have seen the light once again. Even if just round the curtains. Nobody will believe in this ever again. Have you noticed there are no more reports about Darwinism in the press? They deceived everyone for ages with stories of new fossils, new skulls being discovered. Implying they had found an intermediate form. But for some reason that has suddenly come to an end.

REPORTER: To what do you ascribe the theory of evolution being so widespread in Europe?

ADNAN OKTAR: They have literally had us under a spell. Scientists know everything. Don’t poke your nose in, you can’t possibly understand it. You lack the necessary information and culture. These things are very complex. Look at all these Latin words. There are very complex things going on. You cannot go an investigate these things in laboratories. We have done thinking for you, you came about by chance. Don’t worry yourselves about it. Leave it to us.  But if you don’t believe, we expel you if you are at school. If you are a member of teaching staff we sack you. You must answer just as we tell you in your university exams. If you give the wrong answer, if you say you do not believe it, then you fail and are unable to move on to the next year. If you want to pass, you have to say that Darwin told the truth. That is the logic they have developed. But this is an imposition, an anti-democratic imposition, and one kept under official protection. Darwinism currently enjoys official protection in the countries of the world; 95% of countries give Darwinism official protection. Just try and say something against Darwinism. I did, I oppose Darwinism, and first for years they said I was mad. They held me in a mental hospital, for 10 months, as you know. I was detained alongside 300 mental patients. Patients killed 7 people there. Then as if that were not enough they took me to the Security Department, where they ensured cocaine was found in my bloodstream by mixing it in with my food and drink. And I proved that at the Forensic Medicine Department. I proved it had been administered with my food at the Security Department through a report by experts at the Forensic Medicine Department, and the court then confirmed this. The court decided there had been a conspiracy and I was thus acquitted. There was no end to it all. Nine attempts have been made on my life, for example. In other words, it is no easy matter to be opposed to Darwinism. I have been detained countless times for no reason. With no order from the Prosecutor’s Office. There pressure is still going on now. Everyone knows. Nobody finds out about these things. For instance, a scientist in Turkey was removed from his post for opposing Darwinism. Yet another scientist was removed from his position in United Kingdom. In other words, there is no room in universities for someone who does not believe in Darwinism. They are always removed from their posts. This is anti-democratic and abnormal behavior. But if they are strong enough and have enough knowledge they should stand up and debate with us. I said this to Dawkins. Come and have a debate, I said. I can come over and we can hold the debate there, I said. Or show us your intermediate form fossils if you have any, and I will give you 10 trillion Turkish lira, I said. But there has not been a word. He has not come up with any fossils, is not coming for a debate and does not want me to go over there. So what does he want? This means he is not up to a debate. It means he lacks the knowledge for a debate. It means they have been defeated, that people have finally woken up. It means that people can no longer be deceived with a lie, with false words.

REPORTER: What is the impact of the theory of evolution on the world? What is the effect of the theory of evolution on European society, on Western society, what is the effect on mankind as a result of the theory of evolution?  

ADNAN OKTAR: Communism appeared after Darwinism and is directly based on Darwinism. Fascism draws its entire philosophy from Darwinism. Savage capitalism draws its entire philosophy from Darwinism. Imperialism, exploitative colonialism, draws all its ideas from Darwinism. All the terrorist organizations in the world hold Darwinist beliefs and have all undergone Darwinist education. Or else they very occasionally use people who are not in full possession of their senses, giving them drugs and ruining their minds, but they usually choose Darwinists. They are people who have received a Darwinist education in Europe or elsewhere. You will hardly ever see anything else.  This means that the main source of the thinking that spreads chaos through the world and causes so much bloodshed is Darwinism. I have set this out in great technical and scientific detail in my book. The world is finally waking from a nightmare. As the return of the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) approaches, the world has begun being purged of such strange, false, pagan beliefs. There will be no more Darwinism, fascism, communism or any other heretical ideology. The Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) will return to an immaculate world and will establish a single faith and a single system in it when he does. That faith is Islam, Insha’Allah, Islam will rule the whole world. The Mahdi will appear. People will see the coming of Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) and will see that Darwinism has collapsed. This century is one of miracles and extraordinary events and, you will notice that extraordinary things are happening. Earthquakes and other phenomena are happening in the same way. These are all portents of the coming of the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.); there are some 300 of these portents, all of which have happened. The invasion of Afghanistan, for example, is a portent of the coming of the Mahdi, as is the invasion of Iraq, and the severing of the Euphrates, which has been severed by a dam. This is a portent of the coming of the Mahdi and the return of the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.).  There is the appearance of a comet, and as you know, Halley’s Comet appeared. There is a great sign appearing in the Sun. And we saw the greatest solar explosion of the century. This is also a portent of the coming of the Mahdi and the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.). There are many portents of this, countless numbers. These have all come about; and one very important point is that they have all happened within 20-30 years. All these portents have come true in 20-30 years. They have never happened all at the same time in history. Even our Prophet (saas) has provided details. The Prophet (saas) says there will be solar and lunar eclipses at 15-day intervals in the month of Ramadan. And just that has happened. And what is more in 2 consecutive years. In the month of Ramadan. Eclipses of the Sun and Moon 15 days apart. We can see from these miracles, from the accounts in the Bible and the Qur’an and from the hadith of the Prophet (saas) that we are entering the Golden Age. This will be a glorious age. People will laugh at Darwinism within the next 10 years. They will wonder how they believed in it. Professors and scientists will be amazed they ever attached any credence to it, and the public, too. They will be amazed they were ever taken in by Shaytan and be amazed at the power with which he did so.  Because Shaytan is a weak, unintelligent entity. It is a miracle that he is nevertheless able to deceive people. But this century is now the age of faith. Have you noticed Nicolas Sarkozy’s statements since reading my book? There has been a huge change in Sarkozy.  In his latest statement he says, “It is atheism that has caused suffering, not religion.” What does that mean? It means that all acts of terror and all our suffering stem from the theory of evolution. This is a very short but pithy sentence. “Almighty Allah is in everyone’s thoughts and hearts.” He says that Almighty Allah is in everyone’s hearts. “Allah does not take people captive, but sets them free. Allah is a wall, a bastion against boundless human pride and madness. It is Allah Who constantly gives people a message of humility and love, of peace and brotherhood, of tolerance and respect, that transcends all differences.” French newspapers were stunned by Sarkozy’s statements. Le Monde carried a report saying, “Nobody expected this.”  Then there is Tony Blair’s statement: “You cannot understand the modern world without understanding the importance of religious belief.” He says we must first grasp the importance of religious belief. Who says that? Tony Blair. He underwent an extraordinary change after reading my book. “Protect religion and help it become a force for good.” He wants religion to be protected. In an interview Tony Blair said that he reads the Qur’an in the evening, Masha’Allah, and has given copies of the Qur’an to famous entertainers.” Look, he both reads the Qur’an and gives copies to other people. Who does this? Tony Blair. Look how much a socialist and Darwinist has changed. All European intellectuals are following the same line. European intellectuals can never stand up to the true facts. They cannot make it a matter of pride. Look, Tony Blair did not make a matter of pride out of it, but did what needed to be done. And Nicolas Sarkozy, too. I congratulate him, he did what needed to be done without making it a matter of pride. This is excellent progress. Huge, sensational reports appeared in the press in the wake of the Atlas. This also revealed the influence of Darwinism. For example, the German daily Die Welt held a survey on the subject of Creation on its web site. Note that 86% or respondents said that Allah created. Darwinism has collapsed in Germany. Masha’Allah. According to a report in Belgium’s De Morgen newspaper, more than 6 out of 10 non-Muslim students at Belgium’s University of Antwerp do not believe they are descended from apes. As for Muslim students, it says that more than 8 out of 10 think the theory of evolution is nonsense. Eight people out of 10 do not believe in Darwinism. That is really splendid. The Danish Ekstra Bladet newspaper web site says that 88%, note that, of Danish people reply no when asked if human beings are descended from apes. Eighty-eight percent do not think they are descended from apes. That is a wonderful figure. It shows just how honestly Europeans are treating the question. The Danish paper says “Darwinism in Turkey is dead.”  It has not just fainted, or suffered an injury or been weakened. What does dead mean? It means over and done with. And that is really the case. Ninety-five percent of people in Turkey do not believe in Darwinism. Masha’Allah. It says that the University of Southern Denmark says it is really concerned that the Atlas could have an impact on the education system, that it what it says, the education system. And it is right, of course. A fact has been revealed that will demolish all Marxist, fascist and imperialist views.

REPORTER: You are currently waging the only struggle in this area all on your own. Do you have any expectations from European intellectuals or scholarly institutions? Can they assist your endeavors in any way?

ADNAN OKTAR: Maybe in this way; they could reproduce these sincere statements. They could reproduce the statements they give to the press. They can download my books free of charge over the internet from the harunyahya.net and harunyahya.org web sites; 60 million of my books have already been downloaded this year. Last year 35 million were downloaded. Let them download plenty of my books, read them and recommend them to other people; they can buy cds and give them to one another. They can do other such things. But the important thing is that they can get them free, as they wish in other words. The German newspaper Nürnberg Zeitung carried a report headed “Darwin in trouble in Europe.” What does that mean? It is finished there. The German paper Süddeutsche Zeitung said “The book is expected to have a powerful impact on young people.” It is saying it will have a very powerful cultural impact. And that has really happened. I cannot imagine anyone reading my book and espousing anything else. I cannot imagine any logical, healthy person could read it all and still defend Darwinism. If there is anyone like that then let them come forward, I would like to meet them as I am very curious. For example, the Italian pro-evolution web site Dragor says: “In an analysis titled Farewell Darwin, Harun Yahya emphasizes that it is impossible to halt the Islamic creationism of which he is the leader – how could it be possible when the facts are there for all to see – and asks ‘How much longer can France hold out?’.” How much longer can France hold out? France is not actually holding out at all. France, full of intellectuals, has accepted it. In polls, 80% of the French public agree that the theory of evolution is wrong. Starting with Sarkozy. I congratulate them all. The Swiss paper Le Courier refers to “Harun Yahya, who has thrown Darwin’s theory into the rubbish bin.” The theory has been thrown into the bin; it is finished.  Belgium’s Le Soir says this about the Atlas, “It has led to great panic.” People are really being stunned by the true facts. Holland radio, for instance, said, “The Atlas of Creation has created a whirlwind in Europe.” We can see from these statements that Darwinism has been demolished and died in Europe. There will now be a few pockets of resistance, of course. But they too will one by one, gradually be overcome. Europe is finally heading out of the darkness and into the light. The dark ages are now over, and an age of enlightenment has begun. The nightmare of Darwinism is over, and a beautiful world of love, affection, faith, dialogue, friendship and brotherhood has begun. The whole of Europe, the whole world will now be brothers. Everyone will love everyone else. Darwinism, the belief in the struggle between the weak and strong, will vanish.  To be replaced with the belief that those who are right are the strong ones. Thus the honest and the good will always be to the fore. There will be no such thing as the crushing of the weak. There will be an age of love and beauty. This love will climb to the highest point, insha’Allah, with the coming of the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.). We will embrace and talk to the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.). He will walk among and talk to the people, and they will be stunned by this great miracle. When the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) first comes they will be unaware that he is the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.). His disciples will recognize him through the radiance of faith, with the eye of faith. That is how we will recognize him. He will learn the Qur’an, and the Torah and the Bible. He will then espouse the Qur’an. He will act in the light of the Qur’an, and will call the entire Christian world to the Qur’an and will work miracles for them. He will neutralize the Antichrist. Everyone will realize that he is the Prophet ‘Isa (a.s.) from the miracles he performs, and he will call the whole world to love, brotherhood, love and peace.  There will be nothing but truth left in the world. The whole world will become a place of festivities. Everyone will be full of love for everyone else. Wealth and abundance will rise to incredible levels. There will be such an abundance of goods that there will be nobody to give it all to. The accounts say that someone will be given enormous quantities of goods, but will feel ashamed and wonder whether he is the greediest in the whole community. He will try to give it back, but they will not let him. They will say that they will not take back the goods they have given out. That is the kind of wealth there will be, insha’Allah. We are heading for an excellent period. I congratulate our brothers in Europe. They are behaving very intellectually, very well. They may of course be a few university professors who hold out because of pride, but this will be a very childish pride. I do not think they will resist for long. In my view, they have already subconsciously accepted it. All that is left is for them to admit it consciously. Otherwise, it is impossible for a normal person to read the book and not accept the truth. Can anyone seeing 10 or 20 of the photos in the book still defend Darwinism? Proteins cannot form by chance, 100 million fossils prove Creation and there exists not one transitional fossil. There is not one transitional form fossil of the kind Darwinists talk about. How can anyone still defend the theory of evolution? Not even children believe in it any more. No middle or high school children believe in it. My web sites harunyahya.net and harunyahya.org attract a huge number of visits from Europe, America, France and Germany. High school and university students in particular can easily visit them. They see the true facts. No matter what their teachers tell them, since they know the truth the question their teachers, saying, for instance, there are these 100 million fossils, how can you account for them? Their teachers merely say nothing. There are no intermediate fossils, the students say. Can you show us a single one? What can the teacher say? No. Best not to go into that, their teachers say. Note that the press have also fallen silent on the subject. There is not a peep out of them. There are engaged in a defense that does not resemble a defense at all. It is childish pride. Come and debate with us, we say, and they say they do not want to. Let us come to you, we say, and they say they do not want that, either. Show us your evidence, if you have any, we say. And they say no. So they have had it. There is nothing to be prolonged. People must be honest and sincere. They must be able to say they have held false opinions, that they deceived them, that Shaytan deceived them. They must be able to say their thoughts deceived them, under the influence of Shaytan. They must be able to say I turned down a wrong path, but have now learned the truth. And I shall now behave accordingly. In my view there is no point in making it a matter of pride. ADNAN OKTAR: No, no, it must not be removed from schools. People must see how people studied and believed in such an ancient and heretical faith. People must look back in amazement, in other words. Let Darwin’s books be exhibited in museums, along with his claims and pictures of his supporters.  Books supporting him, Dawkins’ books for example, should be placed in museums, shouldn’t they? Let them say that people once believed in this and wrote such books. Let people look in amazement and astonishment at those books and let them see portraits of those people. Let them see how they influenced society and the world, their influence of fascism and communism, for instance. There should even be a ‘Once upon a Time There Was Darwinism’ Museum. It would be very useful to have a museum to show people the whole history of Darwinism, and to amaze people at how they once believed in it and thus have a deterrent effect. Let us build such a museum. It could be an internet museum too. But we can later convert it into a real, three-dimensional museum. That would be very, very good. Dawkins’ earlier statements should be recorded on video, in order to show the youth of the future what he believed and how he described it. If people you know believe in it they should be recorded on video too. And then they should be shown these videos decades later. And let them be amazed at themselves. Have you any other questions?
