So, today my special subject is loosely based upon evolution. One matter it is loosely based is because I am going to get online now, live to Reading and its surroundings, and all those who are listening online, a very special guest is who is known worldwide as Harun Yahya. And this person who is my first experience is an author of a book called “Evolution Deceit” but now he is the author and his team have authored many subjects that have founded the basis of Creationism or Islamic Creationism. And to this day, not only has this been an inspiration directly for me but all those brothers sitting in this room, those brothers listening, those sisters who are working, those people around the world who are influenced and motivated. So I am not going to give a long speech. ADNAN OKTAR: Either will be fine. That is very good. I am also honored to speak to my brothers. I love them all very much. But Harun Yahya is fine, let us go for that.

SPEAKER: Jazak Allah khairun OK. I am going to go straight to the questions, then hopefully from the questions we can go into the other dialogues as well. Is that OK?

ADNAN OKTAR: Excellent, of course, excellent. I say Aleykum selam once more as our colleague has extended another greeting.

SPEAKER: Sure, sure OK. Just in case, my name is Naz Mahmood and I’m presenting the show. But also in the studio today we have various brothers who may be asking questions as well as people on the phone as well.

ADNAN OKTAR: That will be great.

SPEAKER: OK. I think first that the main thing is that I can’t say how excited myself and the brothers here, and maybe the listeners and the sisters, are. It is a truly unique experience. So just at the beginning, I would like to say in advance Jazak Allah khairun for this opportunity.

ADNAN OKTAR: May Allah be pleased, insha’Allah. We will all be able to speak together face to face in the gardens of Paradise. 

SPEAKER: Amen. OK. The first question is, I myself and maybe other Muslims were inspired by the book The Evolution Deceit, but some people say that some of the topics today and some of the issues covered in the book use old science and discoveries, and some of the stuff of the last 5-10 years are not in there. And also some of the arguments used generally by Harun Yahya are not so up to date like, things like the last 1-2 or 3 years. This is my first question.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, the proofs regarding the collapse of Darwinism are the main proofs, and these are universal. In other words, they will be used as proofs in a hundred year’s time, or 200 years. I mean, there is not an issue to state that Darwinism is collapsing according to the last five years work. Darwinism had been demolished by the evidence dating far back to the last century. What are these proofs? The proofs supplied by paleontology. There are 250 million fossils that are the same as living things today and have never changed. The fact there are 250 million of these puts the matter to rest and completely demolish Darwinism. Then there is not a single piece of evidence of the intermediate forms maintained by Darwinism, of strange life forms exposed to mutations that they claim survived by gradual changes. This is the second main blow, which Darwinism cannot stand up against. What does Darwin say? “Why, if species have descended from other species by insensibly fine gradations, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms?” That also puts the matter to rest, and there need be no other proof. “Why is not all nature in confusion instead of the species being, as we see them, well defined?” In other words, a glorious regularity, order and mathematical regularity prevail in the universe. He asks why, saying there should have been total disorder instead. “But, as by this theory innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?” The earth was dug up and everywhere excavated in Darwin’s time, but not a single intermediate form was found. On the contrary, fossils proving creation were always discovered, and there can be no question of recent developments in the last five or six years. This alone is anyway a situation which puts an end to the matter, to the core. In addition, it has also been proved that proteins cannot come into existence by chance. It is impossible for a protein to come into being by chance. But the complex structure in the cell and its detailed, magnificent structure are emerging further by the day, though there is no need for these, as the matter has already been put to rest from its core.

SPEAKER: Right, okay. And if you move onto a similar question, some people especially on the programs, on Internet, radio shows and television, the critics of Harun Yahya, say that Harun Yahya, the team and the individual, do not really understand the details of natural selection. They also, they criticize and say that Harun Yahya is not a scientist and does not have medical or science background. How do you respond to that?

ADNAN OKTAR: These people have obviously never seen my group of friends made up of scientists. They merely know a few of my friends from my close circle along whom I meet the media and whom I have recently given interviews with. These scientists, a group of 30 people made up of professors and assistant professors and experts in the fields of geology, paleontology and other fields of science, are people I work with, consult and act alongside day and night. I do not give these people’s names as they are civil servants, so the information put forward by these critics is incorrect. My friends are highly cultured elite experts, who speak at least three languages and who have all been educated overseas.

SPEAKER: Okay, Alhamdülillah, that’s good. Okay I want to move on to the next question. Okay, let’s move on to the next question now. I wanted to ask traditional scientists that hold this view that all of life exists purely by chance. The question that the Hidden Agenda Show has is why do these scientists still believe this? That life exist by chance? 

ADNAN OKTAR: This is not a new belief. This perverted belief was around in the times of the ancient Sumerians, ancient Egypt and ancient Greece, in the oldest times the antique periods, this pagan religion, pagan belief, has always been around. The deification of matter and, may Allah forbid, the claim that matter is deity is something found in many faiths and beliefs. It is therefore nothing that we are surprised at. We encounter it in all ancient writings. As you know, when the Prophet Musa (as) cast down his staff at that time it turned into a snake. There was an ancient Egyptian belief that human beings and animals emerged by chance from the mud of the Nile. They saw the creative power of Allah when the Prophet Musa (as) cast down his staff and it ate them up. Allah suddenly produced a snake out of wood, thus proving that Allah creates living things from nothing, and that there is therefore no such thing as evolution. The Prophet ‘Isa (as) made something in the shape of a bird out of clay, and when he breathed on it the bird flew away, thus showing people that evolution does not exist and that Allah creates all things, that they are created suddenly and impeccably. In the End of Times, of course, Almighty Allah gives us the means of proving this by scholarship and science, not with miracles. The staff of the Prophet Musa (as) has been replaced by the internet, science, medicine and computers. Such depravity cannot withstand these scientific advances. Darwinism has been demolished. We recently had a debate with Darwinists on a major channel and they were utterly routed. They themselves admit as much, that they were routed. They were shattered with a single blow, thanks be to Allah.

SPEAKER: Ok. Jazak Allah khairun. I would like to change the tone a little bit of today’s interview, and I just want to ask a personal question if that’s OK with Brother Harun Yahya.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, go ahead.

SPEAKER: OK. I understood recently that the Turkish government put Brother Harun Yahya in prison. I was just wondering what was the reason for that? Because being in England, another part of the West, we don’t always get to hear the truth and honesty, so it is always good to hear the responsive ideas brother.

ADNAN OKTAR: I frequently encounter events of that kind. I was frequently taken into custody until very recently and was imprisoned many times, though I was acquitted on every occasion. I was previously placed in a mental hospital. I was depicted as mentally ill for some 10 years, though I was later given a report from the military hospital stating that I am completely sound in mind and body, and an higher institution of state threw out the former report, and thus there had been another formal report was given stating that I am completely sound in mind and body. This plot against me was thus thwarted. After that, it was claimed that I had taken cocaine. While I was in custody, in the Police department cocaine was mixed in my food and drinks, but it was proved, with full scientific evidence that the cocaine was mixed in with my food and drink while under police custody, and I was thus freed from that as well. In this latest case, the prosecutor, the court prosecutor, said that the statements had been taken under torture and not in the presence of our lawyers, so our statements should have been proven inadmissible. He also stated that there was no evidence against us within the case file, and that a group of my colleagues on trial for setting up a religious community and for being Imams, had been acquitted on the basis of exactly the same file and the exactly the same evidences and that we should therefore be acquitted as we are also being tried on the basis of that same file with the same evidence. Nonetheless, the court issued a sentence of 3 years by adding 1 more year to the original requital of the claimed allegations. My thanks to them all. Since Almighty Allah made them instrumental for us to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Yusuf(as), I will be proud to serve my time. I have been imprisoned before, I have been detained many times before but have always eventually been acquitted. But I am expecting a positive outcome from this, too, insha’Allah. But even if not, it will be an honor to serve time in prison, because that is the Sunnah of the Prophet Yusuf (as). Men with a cause encounter such things. A man who doesn’t venture such would not be a man with a cause. For instance, there is currently an intensive smear campaign against me in the Turkish press. The alleged Ergenekon organization is on an attack against us. There is a struggle at close quarters and I take it as a great pride and honor for me.

SPEAKER: Jazak Allah khairun. It is also, I think a true inspiration not only for myself and the listeners of One Ummah Fm. I think all the people here in the room, they are sitting with me, the One Ummah FM team, I think it’s a real motivation to see people such as yourself who are willing to go to the next level to honor Islam and to honor the Muslims.

ADNAN OKTAR: Allah be pleased. Masha’Allah. None of the prophets nor the companions nor those who struggled on the path of Allah have ever had it easy. They have always lived in difficulties. They have suffered greatly. I seek shelter in Allah from the satan, Almighty Allah say : “Or did you suppose that you would enter the Paradise without facing the same as those who came before you?” We will also undergo hardships and suffering. Paradise and to gain the approval Allah is not easy. Allah’s love is not easy. In fact it is easy, but one has to be of good conscience, have faith and work hard insha’Allah.  

SPEAKER: Sure. OK. I have a person in the studio who studies a lot about science and especially the works of Harun Yahya. And he has a question. His name is Sakıp. You did wanted to ask a question

ADNAN OKTAR: Wa Alaykum Salam.

SAKIP : Firstly, I am very sorry to hear that you have to endure all these hardships. And may Allah reward you for your patience in this. I have the questions I thought you can share with our listeners. Please would you share what inspires and motivates you to work so hard and endure the hardships it brings?

ADNAN OKTAR: Allah.

SAKIP: Alhamdulillah.

SPEAKER: OK. I think we have another person in the studio. Akif, as opposed to Sakıp from before, Akif you have a question for brother Harun.

AKIF: Yes, I want to learn has Brother Yahya ever considered leaving Turkey, to get rid of the problems in Turkey and Muslim environment that will stop, have you ever thought of living Turkey like the times of our prophet Mohammed eventually left Mekka?

SPEAKER: The question was would Harun Yahya consider leaving Turkey because of the persecution and difficulties and the question asks if he considers to move to another country or somewhere else?

ADNAN OKTAR: Never. Such a thing would be a sin. There is a struggle at close quarters going on here, and to avoid the struggle is a sin, among the worst of sins. It is cowardice to abandon the field of struggle, something unbefitting a Muslim, something that cannot even be conceived, something that can never even cross a person’s mind. There are elderly people here, small children, many people who cannot defend themselves, and it would be a cheap way out to flee when one has the means with which to fight against them at close quarters. Such a thing would never befit a Muslim. May Allah forbid such a thing. I cannot even imagine such a possibility for any other Muslim. 

SPEAKER: That would be called Harun Yahya deceit as opposed to Evolution Deceit.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. May Allah forbid.

SPEAKER: Okay we have another young brother, who has got another question for you. Brother what was your name?

BEDIR: It is a very great honor to speak with you today. I have a question in regard to the dinosaurs and fossils that scientists have found in the past and how they use these to support the matter of evolution. What I would like to ask you today is in the Qur’an is it a relation into this for example the dinosaurs and fossils?

ADNAN OKTAR: There are hadith about Hazrat Mahdi (as). Regarding bones and fossils speaking in the End of Times, in the days of Hazrat Mahdi (as). There is a hadith that they will shout out the truth into people’s faces, but I have encountered nothing of the kind in the Qur’an. I have just spoken about the two miracles worked by the prophets Musa (as) and ‘Isa (as) in terms of proof of Creation. And many verses of the Qur’an refer to Allah’s Creation.

SPEAKER: Ok. So I think, the next question is for myself. Allah-u Teala mentioned in the Quran that He turned men into apes and pigs. So I want the opinion of Brother Harun Yahya about this ayah, about this verse of the Qur’an.

ADNAN OKTAR: This verse has taken place in the End of Times. Because people claim that they are descended from apes, I mean they candidly claim that they are themselves apes, because the reference is to the soul- I mean Allah knows the truth- not to physical appearance. Thus they have turned into apes. And a huge community of millions or even billions of people claim that they themselves are apes. This is a miracle of the Qur’an. This has come about. Therefore we also see people living like pigs. Their inhuman behavior in illicit relationships, immorality, lack of care over what is lawful and unlawful, in lovelessness and barbarity is reminiscent of that of pigs. People who have become apes have also become pigs. The Qur’an is referring to that, and it has happened. I think our friend asked a question about hijrat (emigration). That is something that can be done when struggling is not possible. Yet when we look at verses 10-11-12 and 13 of Surat al-Ahzab we see that people can still struggle under even the most difficult conditions. But the hypocrites say , I seek shelter in Allah from the Satan ‘People of Yathrib(Madinah), Your position is untenable so return!’ This is cowardice and degrading behavior. Almighty Allah describes this in the Qur’an as the behavior of hypocrites. But apart from that, the struggle cannot be abandoned under any circumstances. We will continue to struggle in the End of Times with affection, love, compassion, reason and science, insha’Allah.

SPEAKER: Insha’Allah.

SPEAKER: We have another question from Brother Shakir.

SHAKIR: As Salamun Aleykum

ADNAN OKTAR: The hypocrites say that in the verse, tell him that. Aleykum salam. In the verse it the words “O people of Yathrib, your position is untenable, so return,” are said by the hypocrites.

SPEAKER: Yes, yes OK. Excellent. OK. Jazak Allah khahirun. Ok. The next question is by brother Shakir. Shakir you are to ask the question.

SHAKIR: As Salamun Alaykum.

ADNAN OKTAR: Wa aleykum salam.

SHAKIR: We’ve got today many atheists or indeed agnostics who struggle with the idea that science and religion cannot be made to work together. So my question to you is; does Islam and science, can they work together. Are they compatible?

ADNAN OKTAR: It is the religion that lies in the root, the spirit, the philosophy, the fulcrum of science anyway. Science would not exist without the religion. It is religion that makes human beings human. One is a human being first and a scientist second. It cannot be possible to be a scientist before being a proper human being. The religion allows people to live normally as normal human beings. You can be a scientist after being a normal human being. You turn toward the facts of science, and the Qur’an tells us to investigate the whole universe, creation and the laws of Allah. That is the spirit of science. The Qur’an sets out the necessity for science in a very comprehensive manner. Let there be no mistake on the previous subject of the hegira. Hegira is acceptable only if there is no possibility of struggling on. Otherwise the struggle must continue.

SPEAKER: Ok. I’ve got brother Bill, who’s got a question as well. Brother Bill.

BILL: Salamun Alaykum. What message would you like to pass on to young Muslim academics who are at school, colleges and universities?

ADNAN OKTAR: Let them love one another very much and not fall out over sectarian differences. They must not quarrel or argue. They must not look for faults in one another. They must strive to make one another perfect and superior. They must not believe a report when it comes from hypocrites and believe nothing they do not see or hear for themselves. Let them base themselves on love. They must grow in love and fear of Allah. They must feel a profound love towards people as manifestations of Allah and servants of Allah. They must lovingly embrace Christians and Jews in the same way. They must strive to get them closer to Islam and become Muslims with kindness, honesty and sincerity. But, may Allah forbid, if they find themselves in really difficult circumstance, for instance if they face the threat of death and there is no way out, no escape, then they can migrate somewhere else on a hegira.

SPEAKER: OK. All right. There is another point that comes to my mind. Because the works of Harun Yahya - the individual and of the team - have a worldwide significance because I have lost how many countries are directly influenced by his works and of his creationist debate. So my question is; Do you think that countries where Muslims are the majority are encouraging the creationist debate and the push to study Islam? Because in most countries that we see today even in Muslim countries there is encouragement of Darwinism rather than Creationism.

ADNAN OKTAR: Darwinism is the belief of the system of the dajjal (antichrist) described as emerging in the End of Times. Darwin is the dajjal of the End Times. They have therefore smothered the world with this corruption for the last 150 years, and Darwinism lies at the root of Marxism, communism and fascism. And this ideology has led to the murder of over 250 million people all over the world and millions to be martyrized. Homes and cities have been demolished, civilizations have been demolished and the sole cause of that is Darwin’s theory of evolution and it is the religion of satan. And this corruption will be totally eliminated by the Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet ‘Isa (as) who will appear in the End of Times. All the portents of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) have come about, one by one. More than 150 portents have come about, for example, the Iran-Iraq War, solar and lunar eclipses at 15-day intervals in the month of Ramadan for two consecutive years, the occupation of Afghanistan, the stopping of the waters of the Euphrates, which happened with a dam, the solar and lunar eclipses in Ramadan I just mentioned, the sighting of a comet, the birth of a double-ended, tailed comet that travels from west to east, that being the comet Lulin. Halley’s comet and the comet Lulin, and the invasion and reconstruction of Iraq. Our Prophet (saas) stated that the world has a life expectancy of 7000 years. I mean he had mentioned the 7000 years as a calendar. He says that 5600 years have already gone by. That leaves 1400 years. Just one century is left for the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as), the 14th. It is impossible for Hazrat Mahdi (as) to come in any other century. The Prophet ‘Isa (as) must also return in this century. Because there are 8 sahih (trustworthy) hadith that put the life of the earth at 7000 years. These and other hadith are all completely reliable, hadith related by Suyuti. It is possible to see them in Bukhari and Muslim and in trustworthy books of hadith such as the Sunan an-Nasahi and Sunan abu Dawud. We are therefore in a very happy age. Rasulullah (saas) orders us to tell each other the good news of the Mahdi. And I give you the glad tidings of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Insha’Allah, we will see the coming of both Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet ‘Isa (as) in the next 10-20 years. Islam will rule the world. Doomsday will take place before the year 1600, according to the 8 hadith. Because when he says the life expectancy of the world is 7000 years, that means the life of the Ummah will be between 1400 and 1500. It will not exceed 1600. Said Nursi also says that Doomsday will take place in 1545 saying Allahualem (Allah knows the fact) Insha’Allah.

SPEAKER: Insha’Allah.  

SPEAKER: True. OK. We’ve got another question from Brother Shakir. I will pass you over to him.

SHAKIR: As Salamun Aleykum

ADNAN OKTAR: Wa aleyna aleykumsalam wa rahmetullahi

SHAKIR: Was the study of Islam and science any different under the Ottomans and the Abbasid caliphate, as opposed to the secular regime of today?

ADNAN OKTAR: There is no question of reconciling science and Islam. Science comes from Islam, and there can be no science without Islam. What happens in that then is confusion and inaccurate ideas, an aimless life and a system of disquiet. The religion teaches us moral virtue, peace, love and brotherhood. The Qur’an contains commands and pronouncement regarding the development of science, and these are Allah’s commands. But people who are unaware of this make the mistake of regarding science as something divorced from the religion. This is of course a grave mistake. Not all periods may have been perfect. Things may not have been perfect in Ottoman or Abbasid times. Perfection exists only in the time of Rasulullah (saas) and of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Our Prophet (saas) makes no reference to any perfection between the two periods. He refers to two perfect times, his own and that of Hazrat Mahdi (as), the coming of the Prophet ‘Isa (as). The coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet ‘Isa (as) appear in the Hanafi, Hanbali, Maliqi and Sha’afi schools, in the Jafari and Shia schools resulting the 95% of the Islamic world. It is absolutely certain. We need to attach great importance to these matters and these times. Because in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as), weapons will be done away with, peace will rule, there will be no bloodshed and the sleeper will not be wakened. These have all been stated in the hadith. We must emphasize these times. The period between the Companions and Hazrat Mahdi (as) is not that important. It would be best for us not to use the period between the Companions and Hazrat Mahdi (as) as evidence. We need to base ourselves on these two periods in order to speak of perfection and flawlessness.

SHAKIR: Yes. You are a unique personality and revered amongst Muslims world-wide, especially on your work for Creationism. What message do you have for people like us, who follow your articles and your work?

ADNAN OKTAR: We are people of Sunnah. Our brothers must be punctilious regarding Sunni belief, act according to scholarly knowledge and attach no credence to people who issue their own fatwas and come up with their own ideas. There will be no new doctrine in this age, no making new doctrine. Let them place their believe in the imams of the denominations and in the works of Sunni scholars. They must be punctilious about that and also protect and watch out for one another. But they must also love and respect the other denominations. Being a Shiite or Jaferite or a member of another school is no reason for us to fall out with them. They are our very precious and immaculate brothers, people of taqwa. All Muslims must be united and watch over one another.
