DR. MORDECHAI KEDAR: Another question which occurs to me is what is the Islamic approach to events like American or European invasion to places like Iraq to oust, actually a dictator, "Imam Ja'ir" as in the Islamic tradition. And everyone knows that the, "afdalu 'l-jihadi kalimatu haqqin 'inda sultanin ja'irin" means that "the best jihad is a jihad against a ruler, a tyrant ruler" for example like Saddam Hussein. So was this act of the Americans and the Europeans against Saddam justified according to the Islam?

ADNAN OKTAR:Blood is bad everywhere. Every single bullet fired from a gun is a movement contrary to the system of the Mahdi (pbuh). I mean there is no good or bad when it comes to shedding blood. Bloodshed is always something that we should abstain from. As a feature of the time of the Mahdi (pbuh), our Prophet (saas) states that "not even a drop of blood will be shed." There is no such thing like there is good bloodshed or bad bloodshed. And the Prophet (saas) does not say bad blood should be shed or shedding of good blood should be stopped. Consequently all kinds of bloodshed should be refrained from.

I have made an attempt to ensure that Saddam would be removed from his post with decency. I have had articles published as the headlines of big papers in Turkey. I have said, "take your family, go with them, the safety of your lives would be ensured." Pentagon supported this idea as well. There had been some other news articles in that respect. Moreover the American government said they would follow the Islamic press more closely. But the man, Saddam, came out to be a psychopath and he did not listen to our advice. He acted as a bully. This is a characteristic of such men in general; these men act as bullies but at the same time they are very coward and unreasonable, they simply live such a dishonorable life and die contemptibly. Allah created their destiny like that; therefore he lived by his destiny.

As a matter of fact, our Prophet (saas) stated that such incidents would take place in Iraq. Even more, he informed that an army would disappear in the desert, all of a sudden. He told that the Iraqi army would disappear in the desert. As a matter of fact the Iraqi army did disappear in the desert within one night just like what our Prophet (saas) stated in the hadiths. And our Prophet (saas) said that Iraq would be invaded by soldiers coming from foreign countries. It happened just in that way. It is also mentioned in the Torah that Iraq, that is Babylon, would be invaded. Consequently the events in the destiny are happening. Destiny always brings goodness. I mean whatever Allah does, He creates with goodness. He calls into being with goodness. For that reason, we approach the destiny Allah created with love, beauty, well-being and submission.
