ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KANAL 35 (IZMIR) (7 March 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR: ...questioning is a kind of celebration for believers. Something delightful. Something in which we see our love and depth in the face of Allah. But questioning for the unbeliever is very terrible. Believers can learn from that. This wisdom is so they can better appreciate the value of paradise and belief. Look, let me underline this. The delight people take from being in paradise will be increased many, many times over when they look at hell. In that respect, hell is a great blessing for believers. In other words, one’s delight in something is enhanced a thousand times by looking at hell. That delight will be reduced if one does not see hell. Believers’ devotion to Allah will be increased many times over when they see the unbeliever being held to account. And their sincere convictions of the values of faith and regarding how they have done the right things and how useful the things they have done are, will be enhanced and strengthened so many times over. Because the boundaries of the mind is not exceeded in the hereafter. Because the unbeliever will still continue to have a unbeliever mindset, because they will find some kind of supposed logic to account for hell, saying it is a hoax perpetrated by capitalists, or an invention, or that they are oppressing people by using equipment and devices to control the electrical system in the brain, or other such irrational and unbelievable explanations. In those terms, believers will continue to believe there. The more they see hell, the more believers will be motivated. They will love paradise even more. Paradise is most delightful. We will enjoy it very much. Insha’Allah you and I will be brothers there.
ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON MAVI KARADENIZ TV 3 FEBRUARY 2009
ADNAN OKTAR: The dwellers in paradise will be most delighted of all when they see the inhabitants of hell. It is most important to give thanks. One will compare them with oneself. “Allah forbid, but what if Allah had cast me there and I were there now?” one will say. People will rub the soil of paradise into their hands and faces in gratitude. One will always be able to see hell from paradise. The inhabitants of hell will always be able to see paradise and thus lament, and this is one of the worst torments He inflicts on them. It is one of the most severe torments of hell. Comparison makes a person’s suffering much worse, and also intensifies their pleasure. The comparison is a part of Allah’s ilm al-ladun, that is the knowledge of Divine Providence. Through ilm al-ladun, Allah enables people to be happy and thus enjoy profound pleasure.
ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON CAY TV (4 March 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR: Believers are profoundly affected by hell. They will look and give thanks to Allah. Because they will see the empty places in hell. Places that would have been theirs, but that are empty because they are not there. They will see it and be delighted. Allah also creates hell in order for believers to rejoice. Hell is actually a great blessing for paradise, as well. It is a great blessing for the dwellers in paradise that enhances the taste of paradise. And paradise is an anguish that intensifies the suffering of the inhabitants of hell many, many times over. People will love paradise, but paradise will inflict torment on those who inhabit the hell. The more they look, the worse they will suffer and feel longing. The believer, on the other hand, will know the joy and excitement of salvation, insha’Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KAÇKAR TV (12 March 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR :.. that is why Allah threatens Muslims with hell, so they will be well behaved and virtuous. In paradise we will understand just how beneficial hell is for us, insha’Allah. Hell is a blessing that increases and encourages love of Allah. It is a blessing for believers, because it will enable them to appreciate the value of paradise. It will allow them to enjoy the delights of paradise very much more. Because they have seen Allah’s justice, their love of Him will grow many times over. That is the greatest impact. The more they see hell on a screen like a television screen, the more their love for the trees, beauties, streets and houses of paradise will grow. Allah says in one verse, “They know no weariness.” This is one of the things that enable them to feel no weariness, their ability to see hell, insha’Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR'S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KAÇKAR TV (12 March 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR: They should have trusted in Allah there. But they were weak and have committed an error. We now see how important the existence of hell is. For example, had Almighty Allah inflicted pain on the Prophet Adam (as), if he had known what suffering was and had seen hell while he was in paradise, then perhaps he would not have done what he did. But he came to earth, saw he was wearing nothing and had natural needs, at which he wept. But seeing the nature of what took place he was devastated and learned what suffering was. For example, when he was in paradise he did not know that fire burns people, that was unknown in paradise. Suffering was unknown in paradise. Nobody knew what suffering or fear was. It was here that he learned what sorrow, fear, tribulation and trouble were. The prophet Adam (as) is now in paradise, though he can see hell and has seen it as suffering. If satan were now to offer to feed him from the tree of eternity, to feed him the fruits of eternity, he would never consider it for a moment, and would never, on the basis of his past experience, repeat the same mistake. This is the wisdom that Almighty Allah refers to; hell is necessary; hell will elevate your love for, trust in and obedience to Allah, and your trust in His word, to the very highest levels and make them very powerful. He says that the more you see of hell the more you will appreciate paradise, and that it is in this that the wisdom of hell consists. Allah has not created hell solely in order to burn and torture people. In reference to hell and other pains, Almighty Allah says in one verse “Why should Allah punish you if you are thankful and believe?” Almighty Allah says he has no wish to torment people. That is not His aim. He says that His aim is people’s peace, comfort, joy and happiness. But hell is needed for that, and fear of Allah. What do they say? Fear him who has no fear of Allah, they say. Of course we will not fear such a person, and that is an entirely different matter. But that is what people say. It means a lack of fear of Allah is dangerous and risky. No harm will come from someone who fears Allah. Such people are rational, far-sighted and full of love, and that is the wisdom of hell. The secret can be rather better understood looked at in terms of ilm al-ladun of Allah. Allah is above all rulers. Allah is infinite mind, and He possesses omniscience in ilm al-ladun of Allah. But someone who knows and understands just a little of the ilm al-ladun of Allah will know what He means in that verse, insha’Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KANAL 35 (IZMIR) (14 February 2009)
ADNAN OKTAR: People do not look on hell with love. If they looked at it with a love of Allah, they would also love hell. Hell is actually the source of love. Because it is a threat to the cruel and a great weapon that eliminates immorality. Hell is the true source of happiness. Allah did not show hell to them in the time of the Prophet Adam (as), and you see what happened. You see the affectation and two-facedness of satan, and you know how he deceived the Prophet Adam (as). He also deceived Hawwa, and they behaved in a manner diametrically opposed to Allah’s command. But hell exists at this moment, and it gives people, all Muslims, a great upbringing.
