From Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on Kayseri TV, October 21st, 2009
ADNAN OKTAR: Now, look, Israel gets very much irritated from such occurrences, they get into panic. Our Jewish brothers there also get discontented. In regard to an issue related with oppression, when it is declared that “oppression should be ended”, this is for the benefit of Israel. This is in favor of the State of Israel as well as the People of Israel, especially in favor of the devout believers.
For instance, denouncing the shooting of babies is a very beneficial deed. When we denounce such an act there, this means we also denounce any similar act against an Israeli baby some day, may Allah forbid. We at the same time denounce this act when it may target a German baby. In essence, wherever there is affliction against children or women in the world, that should be condemned. What difference would it make? Shall we overlook when it happens in Turkey? We will criticize Turkey also and we will do the same anywhere else. Therefore, it is not proper for them to personalize this and take offense. They must consider this as a worldwide happening, an act of inhumane oppression, and reason accordingly.
Because commands in the Torah are clear, there is no oppression in the Torah. There is compassion, mercy, love and forgiveness in the Torah, isn’t this true? There is well conduct to the neighbors and kinsmen. But what is going on there? Those are in conflict with Torah and an act of atrocity. Therefore, there is no need to feel uneasy in face of such criticism.
This is not something that abolishes our love of Israel or our love of Jews. This is a precaution to lead them to more excellence and superior manners. Otherwise what would happen if such heedless events kept recurring? Perpetrators of these acts must take heed. In fact, we have no issues with devout Jews, we love them very much, they are very dear to us. But there are these atheist Zionists, and those are the cruel ones, they cause affliction. Contrary to what Cubbeli Ahmad Hodja says, we are not suggesting to chop them up like leeks. However, they should discontinue thinking that way, and we should condemn, protest, criticize and caution so that they take heed. Would it be acceptable to say, “Do not tell them anything, keep silent.” It would be unlawful by religion to keep silent, even if they tell you to do so. Of course this will be discussed and explained, there is no need to be disturbed by criticism.
For example if a foreign country denounces a murderer in Turkey, I would say, “You are right, may Allah bless you,” and I would further denounce that act. I would not start defending that man. When we criticize a murderer in Israel, in that case Israel should support us. There is no right in saying a murderer belongs to this or that country is a good one. Or, there is no rule saying that a murderer in this country may be criticized, but a murderer in that may not be. Oppressors are condemned everywhere, and we will surely criticize them all.
