The life span of the ummah will not exceed 1500 years

ADNAN OKTAR: 2021, or 1506 according to the Islamic calendar, is the prevailing lifespan of the Ummah. But look, all great Sunni scholars such as Muhammad Hamdi Yazir of Elmali, Suyuti, Manavi, Ibn Kasir, Barzanji, Tabari, Said Nursi, Ahmed bin Hanbal, the founder of the Hanbali school, Daylami and Bistami all put the life span of the Ummah at the 1500 years. Said Nursi also says up to 1500 years. He says 1506 at most. He says in 1545, or in 2120the Doomsday will fall upon the disbelievers. That is the Sunni belief.

ADNAN OKTAR: If we put credence in statements by Sunni scholars, if we trust the hadith of our Prophet (saas) and descriptions given by Said Nursi, these subjects are crystal clear. People can look at the works of Suyuti. They can look at the works of Barzanji. The life span of the Ummah is up to 1500. This is made crystal clear in Suyuti. And in the works of Berzanji. It is quite clear in works by other great Sunni scholars. Said Nursi also says the life of the Ummah will extend up to 1506. "Indeed…" he says "… it indicates that Doomsday will befall the unbelievers in 1545." We are now in the year 1430 according to the Islamic calendar.

ADNAN OKTAR: Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not come in any century other than this one. According to Suyuti and Barzanji, and also to Said Nursi and other Sunni scholars no other century applies. "At most…" says Said Nursi"… his victorious struggle... will extend up to 1506…" He says that 1506 "will be the last period of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and his followers." "And by Allah's leave..." he says, "Doomsday will befall the unbelievers in 1545." And since the subject is as clear as this, predicting later centuries means placing no credence in the statements of the Sunni ulama. It means placing no credence in the explanations of Said Nursi. It means placing no credence in the explicit accounts of hadiths. They can look at the works of Suyuti, or of Barzanji. They can look at the works of other Sunni scholars. Said Nursi describes it very clearly and in detail. They can see the subject quite clearly there. There is therefore no question of Hazrat Mahdi (as) appearing in any other century. And all the portents cited have taken place in this century. They have never all come about together in the last 1400 years. This is the first time. Including this comet. Including the occupation of Afghanistan, the stopping of the waters of the Euphrates, solar and lunar eclipses in the month of Ramadan and bloodshed at the Kaaba.

The rising up and multiplication of tall buildings and adultery and such signs, furthermore these are the minor portents. These things have also happened. If people still talk about later centuries even though they have seen all these things, that comes from their inability to have faith for this subject. Said Nursi says: "Some people who are weak in faith but strong in ego... have sought to deny it." There are other statements on the same subjects. Some people say that he has already come and gone. Other say, "he will not come" and still others say, "he will come in the far distant future."

ADNAN OKTAR: Said Nursi says, "They have imagined that a marvel that will take place after 1400 years will happen in their own centuries." In other words he says that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will come in the year 1400, according to the Islamic calendar. Such a great scholar as Suyuti says that the life of the Ummah, that is Community of Muslims will not exceed 1500 years. Barzanji says that, too, the great scholar of the 11th century. Said Nursi says, "Excluding nunnation, it suggests that it will persist until 1542." "It suggests that he will persist openly and overtly and victoriously until 1506, and then implies that up until '42 he will continue its task of illumination in secret and in concealment. If the gemination mark is included, then numerological calculation suggests that Doomsday will befall the unbelievers in 1545." As you see, 1545 at the latest. Said Nursi says the life of the Ummah will extend up until 1545. Since Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear in 1400 according to the Islamic calendar and since Doomsday is to be expected after 1500, there is no other person to be awaited after 1500. According to Suyuti, Barzanji and Said Nursi, there is nobody else to be anticipated. So he must appear in this century. All the portents that never took place in the last 1400 years have taken place in this century. For instance, the stopping of the waters of the Euphrates, the attack on the Kaaba, bloodshed at the Kaaba, the invasion of Iraq, the invasion of Azerbaijan, war between Iraq and Iran and the appearance of a comet.

Imam Rabbani speaks of a double-tailed comet, the appearance of a horn-shaped comet. And he says that it will travel in the opposite direction to other comets. And that has come true. Imam Rabbani says this is a portent of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as). But there are so many other portents. He says that the Iraqi Army will vanish in the desert, and that also happened. Our Prophet (saas) says the Iraqi unit of currency will be invalidated, and that also happened. He says that Iraq will be rebuilt, and that has happened. All the signs, more than 100 accounts, have all come about. But they all took place between 1400 and 1430, Islamic calendar, and this is very important. And they have never all happened in any other century. In other words, this is the first time since the days of our Prophet (saas). And since Suyuti says that the life of the Ummah will not exceed the year 1500 and since Said Nursi says it will not survive past 1500, then Hazrat Mahdi (as) must already have appeared. There is no alternative. There is no alternative according to Sunni belief.

Look what Muhammad ibn Rasul al Husayni al Barzanji says: "The life of this Ummah will exceed 1000 years but will not exceed 1500 years. From various signs it appears that the life of this world..." And he says, the great scholar Jalaladdin Suyuti provides various pieces of information from the Al Kashfu al-Fi..., the name of his work is very lengthy. Look, a great scholar such as Suyuti, the mujaddid of the 11th century, cites a Sunni scholar and expert in the hadith as a reference source and says, "The life of this Ummah will exceed 1000 years but will not exceed 1500 years." We are now in 1430, Islamic style, and Hazrat Mahdi (as) must absolutely certainly already have appeared. There is no other alternative. In addition, more than 100 portents have come about, all of them, which also means that Hazrat Mahdi (as) must certainly have already appeared. In fact, when we look at developments in the Islamic world we see that there has been serious progress toward a Turkish-Islamic Union. We see that the Islamic world is heading toward unification. The collapse of Darwinism and materialism and communism shows that the light of Islam has spread everywhere, and these things are all signs that Hazrat Mahdi (as) has already appeared.

ADNAN OKTAR: Said Nursi says that Doomsday will befall the unbelievers around 1545. We are in the last stage of the world. People ask how anyone can say such a thing. Our Prophet (saas) says so, transmitted in the hadith. Think of a newborn child, but a normal person's life expectancy is 60-70 years, maybe 70-80, or 100 at the very most. People will assume that a young person of 10 or 20 is going to keep on living, but that someone aged 80-90-100 may die at any moment. The earth is now like a 80-90-100 years old person. In other words, the days of youth are over. People expected Doomsday in its youth, when it was 10 or 20 or 30 years old, and someone aged 20 or 30 years can indeed die. But death is far more imminent for someone aged 90 or 100. Now the Earth is 90 or 100 years old, in the year 1500 according to the Islamic calendar. Said Nursi says that Doomsday will take place around 1545. There are people who say that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear after this century, even much later. According to Sunni belief, the life span of the Islamic Ummah is nearly over. It ends in 1500, so it is impossible for Hazrat Mahdi (as) to come in 1600. It is impossible for him to come in 1700. For that to happen, all the portents would have to be repeated again. All the portents, the occupation of Afghanistan, the stopping of the waters of the Euphrates and everything.

The prophet (saas) says that people will speak through the heels of their shoes. But it is impossible for that to be discovered again, since people are already doing it. The waters of the Euphrates have already been stopped and cannot be stopped for a second time. Our Prophet (saas) is referring to the first stopping of the waters. He says they will be stopped once. And the waters of the Euphrates have already been stopped. The invasion of Iraq, that does not mean an invasion that will take place many times over. There may be such an invasion, but the fact these things have all happened together is highly significant. More than 100 such portents have happened. All within the space of 30 years. The attack and bloodshed at the Kaaba has already happened. The appearance of the comet Lulin is a one-off. There is no question of it appearing again in 1600 or 1700. Scientists say it will not return. It is a one-off. It is a very rare phenomenon. It happened in the past and they do not know whether it will appear in the future again. That is why they are distracting the Ummah and Muslims by talking about 1600 or 1700. They have distracted them and not told the truth. If our Prophet (saas) says the life of the Ummah will end in 1500, that is what will happen, since all the portents of that have happened. Said Nursi says we must expect Doomsday in 1545. And he is not alone in saying that.

Almost the entire Sunni ulama say the same thing. In addition, we need to investigate and reflect very deeply on the way that all these portents have come about together. Look, at the time when the comet Lulin appears, the other comet should appear, too. He said that the rains would not fall for 2 years before the comet Lulin appears, and it did not rain. It did not rain for 2 years. Then he says that a great deal of rain will fall, and that people will be troubled by such heavy rainfall. And that also happened. Yet some people imagine that all these things will happen all over again, in 1600 or 1700. According to the Sunni ulama, the life span of the Ummah is over. But it is odd how they conceal that and never mention it. Said Nursi makes that clear, as well as Imam Hanbal and other Sunni scholars. Tabari says so, for example, and the entire ulama. It is wrong to hide this and thus mislead the Ummah. This is the truth. Only this century will be that of the rule of Islam. Everywhere has been captured and ruined, and oppression is everywhere, but this century will be that of salvation, insha'Allah.
