ADNAN OKTAR: A person sometimes dies while speaking, for instance, he remains in hospital and speaks but they are unaware he is dead. But it generally happens after people close their eyes, after they are pronounced dead. But in some cases people die while they are still speaking; you imagine they are alive, but they begin speaking in the form of a second or third ego. “How are you?” you ask. “Fine, thank you,” they reply. But the fact is they are already dead.
People speak in dreams, don’t they? People speak in dreams at night. “Is anything wrong?” you ask. “No, there is nothing wrong,” he replies in his dream. “We went to the town of Mersin today, and I am now tidying up the garden there,” he will say deep in his sleep, completely unaware. I do not recommend people to speak to people who are in sleep. But if they ever speak, they will see that these people in their sleep would speak normally. If you ask them, “Do you want anything?” “No, thank you,” they would say. They do speak, for instance. They speak normal as we know it, in other words.
This can be seen more clearly under hypnosis. If you tell someone under deep hypnosis to open their eyes, they will open them. “Come and sit down,” you say. One sees this on the television as well. “How are you, Sir?” he asks. But he is asleep, in a state of deep sleep. “Thank you, how are you?” he replies. “How are things going?” he asks. “Fine, we engage in trade” he answers. Then the person doing the hypnotizing says; “You know, you are Thomas Edison. The man who discovered electricity.” “Yes, I am,” he says. “I am Edison, and I invented electricity.” He is quite convinced, they suggest it to his mind. Everyone rolls around laughing. He honestly believes he is Edison, and he talks. When asked “tell us how you did it,” he will start to do so. He does as he has been told to do previously without realizing. When he is woken up and told that he had said this and that, he would be left quite amazed by it. In this way, people cannot recognize those who live in a second ego like that. And you cannot know when he is dead.
A serious change comes over some people’s faces before death, for instance. There is a change in the way they speak. For example, before his death our brother came face to face with one of our brothers who he saw every day, the very same brother, and he ask him, “How are you?” They speak. But he goes inside and continues looking for him, asking where he is. He says they have just spoken, and that he looked him right in the eye. He is a very close friend of his, and he goes to look for him inside. This shows he has already passed away. There are many similar instances of his. For instance his speech or facial expressions. And he even told me; “I have no more work left to do... What else is there for me to do?” That was a very strange thing to say, something none of our people would ever say. Isn’t that right? How can a Muslim’s work come to an end? You will read the Qur’an, read a book or study, how can a person’s work be over?
TARKAN YAVAŞ: He was a very active person.
ADNAN OKTAR: I could not understand it. I was quite amazed. He came down the stairs, “I want to tell you something,” he said. And he told me these; “My work is over, what should I do?” I could not understand what he was talking about. I told him “what do you think you should do?” and I told him why a Muslim would not say that. But he was not a person that could ever say this. Anyhow he died shortly thereafter. This way of speaking shows his soul had been taken from him. Because these things he said were not reasonable. What does “My work is over” mean?” Who would say that? None of our people could ever say such a thing.
TARKAN YAVAŞ: Nobody.
ADNAN OKTAR: It is not something a Muslim will say. It is obvious from his attitude that his conscious was blocked. There are many cases like that. You imagine they are living quite normally and talk to them, but they have long since gone away with Azrail(as). They have gone to another world, but their body has remained behind. You see people who laugh at Islam, religion and faith. You imagine that they are alive, but Allah might have seized him by the back and Azrail(as) by his head and hair and he might suddenly be casted into Hell, in an instant. But you imagine he is still speaking there, still alive. Yet he has long since gone to Hell. He is suddenly dragged off. He may even still continue in that same spoiled behaviour. And you might think he is still alive. There are a lot of such cases, there are people taken suddenly into the Hell. His life might be taken from his back instantly. He himself might even be unaware of it. There are also those people who just close their eyes and die normally, and the majority of cases know it beforehand. Many people say so in advance, don’t they? They say they dreamed they were going to die and they even go and ask for blessing from everyone beforehand. There are many such people, aren’t there?
ADNAN OKTAR: They say goodbye to everyone though they are perfectly healthy. But nobody sees what this means. “What is happening, what is going on?” they ask. This is a preparation for death. We can also write a book about this. There are many such cases, hundreds or thousands. One could collect them and make a book. But when a believer’s soul is taken, everything becomes crystal clear instantly. The person instantaneously passes on to another world. While he is slightly puzzled, Azrail(as) generally comes accompanied with other angels, as a group. Azrail comes in the form of a very attractive human being and speaks very kind words. But when they come to take that person’s soul, he is already dead at that moment. He does not ask you, “You are going to die, what do you say to that?” Because you are already dead at that moment. But that one does not feel the wonder, the tension of that. But one feels safe, because of his beauty and his kind words. That is all. Allah talks about the ones that glide away in a verse. There is a passing like that, just gliding away, insha’Allah.
PRESENTER: Insha’Allah.
