From Adnan Oktar' interview with Kocaeli TV and Mavi Karadeniz TV on 1 December 2009
ADNAN OKTAR: I regard enmity toward Jews and Christians as painful. . Because both are people who believe in Allah, the prophets and the angels. It is terrible that some people regard people who believe in Allah as enemies. In the time of Rasulullah (saas) they were treated with love and affection, and were protected and watched over. They were escorted safely where they were going. But then these irrational ideas emerged, enmity toward Christians and Jews. That is a sin and a disgrace, totally unacceptable. Everyone will live by his own faith, Muslims according to theirs, and them according to theirs. The appreciation thereof lies with Allah. Allah will decide on their positions in the Hereafter. It is also very wrong to oppress, repress or inflict suffering on people holding other beliefs, be they communists or freemasons, and wrong to hate them or make it impossible for them to survive. For example, they come here and they are told “go somewhere else”, then they go to another place, again it is said “go to another place.” Where can they go? They can’t go off into space, can they? They are servants of Allah and must be treated with affection. I regard this as an important subject, one that has to be emphasized, insha’Allah.
TARKAN YAVAŞ: Masha’Allah. Mr. Oktar, our guests really like you. They feel a great respect and love for you.
ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah. They showed great respect as they were leaving, masha’Allah. They are all highly educated, professional people. Some are engineers and others occupy different elevated positions. But they are also rabbis. Excellent. And that is how Muslims should be. They should be highly educated and cultured, and if they are also men of religion, then they should fully discharge those obligations, as well. That is the best thing, insha’Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: That is unbelievable. Why should anyone kill these immaculate people, these innocent people? Allah has given them a name. He says they are the People of the Book. He says they will and do exist. He says that Christians exist, and Jews exist. The Qur’an says so, and Almighty Allah says so. It is a human society that exists, not one that does not. They existed in the time of Rasulullah (saas). They will therefore be first-class citizens in the community of the Turkish-Islamic Union. Muslims, Jews and Christians will all be treated with affection. Why should they be oppressed? Why should anyone persecute them? Why should they be exiled and forced to suffer? It is not appropriate to do that to anyone.
