ADNAN OKTAR: I take refuge in Allah from the satan. "He (Moses) said: At the time I did it, I was one of the misguided, and so I fled from you when I was in fear of you." In this respect, the Mahdi (pbuh) resembles the Hazrat Moses(pbuh), there is a hadith that states this, in terms of the climate of fear and his seclusion. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also remain concealed in this way. I will read you the hadith regarding this point later. "But my Lord gave me right judgement and made me one of the Messengers. And anyway you can only reproach me with this favour because you made the tribe of Israel into slaves!" Pharaoh said he had done him a favor. Actually it was him who enslaved the Muslims of the time, the followers of the Prophet Moses(pbuh). "Pharaoh said, 'What is the Lord of all the worlds'?" He asks what he means by 'the Lord of all the worlds.' He wanted to learn that. "He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them if you knew for sure'." In other words, if you believe with a certain, factual knowledge, Lord is for heaven, earth and what lies in between. I mean, he says that there are no separate gods for the earth, sky and what lies in between but there is only One God. "He said to those around him, 'Are you listening'?" He is being a snob. You know the ones who act like this, he asks them if they can hear. Of course they can, he is saying it out loud. You know, such vulgar people put on a show for the others around, they employ such unseemly manners. He is being a snob just like them. Moses(pbuh) said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers, the previous peoples." Not just yours, he says, but your forefathers also believed in Allah just the same. The true religion had always existed, he says. This is not the first time the true religion had appeared, he says.
PRESENTER: It has always existed.
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, it has always been there. Ever since the time of the Prophet Adam(pbuh) it always existed. Your forebears also seen and known the true religion, but you do not know it, he says. "He (Pharaoh) said; "This Messenger, who has been sent to you, is mad'." He says the Prophet Moses(pbuh) is mad. Cubbeli has for days been saying that I am mad. He excitedly said on the television 'he has a report'. I am proud to say that I am mad with love of Allah, Islam and the Qur'an. Look, just about all the prophets were called mad. Rasulullah (saas) was called mad, wasn't he? Bediüzzaman was called mad. In other words, it is a most welcomed slander, insha'Allah. In addition, that report was invalidated by the military hospital. It was invalidated in the military hospital, stating that I was completely sane and sound. "If you use your intellect..." See, using one's intellect is very important, he says. Moses said, "The Lord of the East and the West and everything between them if you used your intellect." He stressed it again, since the man was dense and did not understand. He is a bonehead. Such types are just typical. You state things numerously, before, as you see, he doesn't understand, so you stres on it once more. "If you use your intellect..." Do you know what that means? He means, you are a simpleton, an idiot and that is why you don't understand. Right? I mean he streses his idiocy, but he uses a gentler form of language. Prophets are very gentle. Look he says: "If you use your intellect..." But since the man does not use his intellect, since he is a bonehead, a blockhead, he does not understand as you see. " Pharaoh said, 'If you take any god other than me, I will certainly throw you into prison'." That is the despotic mentality of the alleged Ergenekon organization. That is to say, he puts forward the belief himself and he says I have created a religion here and I will make you believe in it by force. I will not accept any other faith. I have a faith and you are to believe in it. If you do not see what I will do: " I will certainly throw you into prison." And that is the lightest one of the punishments of the Pharoah. See "If you take any god other than me," What is his claim? What is Pharaoh claiming here? He claims that all the mankind was created from the muddy waters of the Nile, all animals and plants. In other words, he is a Darwinist and a materialist. 'You will believe this, my friend' he says. 'If you do not believe, I will have you imprisoned,' he says. See, the prison. The residence of the Prophet Joseph and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Mahdi(pbuh) will also be imprissoned. They say; 'you will either espouse our ideology, and not be an anti-Darwinist or anti-materialist, or you will be imprisoned.' "Moses said 'Even if I were to bring you something undeniable?'" I mean he says 'I have brought you incontrovertible evidence.' Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also provide such clear evidence. He will produce explicit and incontrovertible evidence with fossils and all the proof of science, with all the means provided by modern technology he will come up with explicit and definitive evidence. He will reveal all the means provided by science and philosophy insha'Allah. "Pharaoh said, 'Produce it then if you are someone telling the truth.' " If you are telling the truth, let us have a look at your evidence, he says. "So he threw down his staff and there it was, unmistakably a snake." A piece of wood turned into a snake when he threw it down. So where is the evolution in that? Where is your claim stating that Allah – Allah is beyond their claims- cannot create but all had been created through evolution? Where is that process needed, where is that millions of years needed? Right? What happened to things evolving gradually? See it turned instantaneously, as soon as he threw it down, within an instant it turned into a snake and Pharaoh's belief in evolution was demolished on the spot.
That is what Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will do. That will be the firstthing he will do. In the same way that the Prophet Moses's first act was to eliminate evolution. Right? What did Moses do first? He first demolishes evolution. And demolishing evolution will be the first thing that Hazrat Mahdi(pbuh) will be doing. He will demolish Darwinism. This is what Said Nursi said. He said this 70 years ago in the Risale-I Nur collection. "When the time comes," he says, "he will first do this, he will eliminate Darwinism and materialism."
"And he drew out his hand," he had placed his hand in his chest and then drew it back, "and there it was, pure white to those who looked." His hand was pure white when he pulled it out, and this is one of his marvels, his miracles. "(Pharaoh) said to the High Council round him 'This certainly is a skilled magician.' " I mean he said 'he might be skilled but he is still a magician, He is trying to convince you through persuasion and influence you with his words. That is to say he is just deluding people, in fact he is not realistic.'
"(He) desires by his magic to expel you from your land, so what do you recommend?" Look, he turns it into a political dimension matter. I mean he says 'his true aim is not religious.' He says 'his aim is political'. He says 'he wants to be the ruler, his aim is very different'. I mean he is trying to provoke people around and to create a new offense. I mean while Moses(pbuh) was merely calling people to salvation and to the approval of Allah, he is entirely changing the nature of the matter and bringing it into a completely new law code; rebel against the state, seize of power,right? And some other similar crimes.
"(He) desires by his magic to expel you from your land, so what do you recommend?" There are just a handful of Muslims there. But he had a huge army there, his own people. It was obvious that Moses had no such intention and that his claim was just a fraud. "He said, 'Detain him and his brother." In other words, place them in detention. That is what they are saying in kind words. "Send out marshals to the cities…" Meaning they should gather all those scientists, Darwinists, materialists, atheists and all the like who can fabricate lies and bring them round.
"Send out marshals to the cities to bring you all the skilled magicians." See, he is referring to the skilled experts. He tells them to gather all the men of science. Look, he is explicitly referring to experts. What he means by magic is deceiving people by the use of demagoguery. That is a characteristic of magic, to talk people into empty beliefs by use of repetition. Creating a mass hypnosis. That is what Darwinists do. I mean their technique of baffling people using French and Latin words, formulae, x = 11y therefore evolution is true. Or Zx2 minus x or whatever.. such imposing language was around in those days as well. "…to bring you all the skilled magicians. So the magicians were assembled for a meeting on a specified day." They brought them together in such a way that everyone could see. In the same way that we went on Haberturk in full public gaze and they brought Darwinists and materialists to oppose us. In the same way that we flattened them like an Isparta carpet, in the same way we razed them to the ground. Similar things were also going on there. "The people were asked, 'Are you all assembled'?" Television brings people together automatically. But in those days people were gathered together physically. But television is a tool that addresses a community that is already collected together. "…so we can follow the magicians if they are the winners." If the magicians win, they will follow the magicians, the scientists in other words.
"When the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, 'Will we be rewarded if we are the winners'?" The phoneys of that period had undertaken that task for money, for personal gain, in order to make ends meet. That is their livelihood. Take the Darwinists of today. I am not comparing them with Pharaoh's lot, but I am pointing out some historical, intellectual similiarities. Look, self-interest was around in those days, too. They are on salary, they receive money. Look, today we tell Darwinists the truth, and they understand it, but if they say so they will loose their qualifications, they will be forced out of their universities. They will then have to go and sell fruit from a stall or else stay where they are, in their schools, and continue with their Darwinist activities. So they cling tightly on to their salaries, no matter how much they really see the truth. And people imagine that these types really do know something, which is why they persist in espousing it.
PRESENTER: They are not defending what they actually believe in, right?
ADNAN OKTAR: Actually they do not believe it. Of course, I mean how could anyone believe it in the face of all this evidence? "‘Will we be rewarded " they asked . "He (Pharaoh) says, 'Yes.' " Of course, he had bound them to him with money. "…and in that case you will be among those brought near." In other words, you will be part of the elite of the time, you will be a part of that elite. They would thus be enjoying women or entertainments or whatever they wanted in those days. Money. I mean they were not alienated from society. In other words, they entered the paradise of the anti-Christ(dajjal), of the pharaoh dajjal, a sort of false paradise. They are welcomed to the palace, come and go from it, get paid, eat and drink and have homes and everything. That is all a characteristic of being "brought near". For instance if they have an errand to be done in state institutions, it is figured out immediately, because they have been "brought near." One of their relatives needs to be assigned to a spot, and he is immediately assigned. Both money and such interests of that kind are given.
PRESENTER: They are given benefits and advantages.
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. "Moses said to them, 'Throw whatever it is you are going to throw!'" First you throw whatever you have and let me see what you are saying, he says. "They threw down their ropes and staffs and said, 'By the might of Pharaoh'.. " Look, not in the Name of Allah, they are acting for the name of the Pharaoh of that time. Not in the Name of Allah. WhereasMuslims act for Allah's sake, don't they?
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes insha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR:"….we are the winners" they said. They are making psychological propaganda, saying how they can do this and that and that they are so clever they can sort the whole thing out with no trouble. There are people who say that now as well, aren't there? And these men throw down their ropes and staffs as well. In other words, they reveal their evidence, all fictitious. "But Moses threw down his staff, " says Allah. " .. and at once it swallowed up what they had fabricated."
Look, today we have rained fossils down on Darwinists. Fossils have rained down on them, they have been inundated, and we can hear the 'glug, glug' sounds from down below. Or like the voice of a squirrel. They are still shouting out under the weight of those fossils, saying "Darwin is alive, your grandfather is still alive." Say that he is alive as much as you like. "the magicians threw themselves down, prostrating." Look, they say La Ilahe Illallah, don't they? They say Moses is the Rasullullah. La Ilahe Illallah Moses Rasullullah(There is no God other than Allah and Moses is His Messenger). That is how it was then. If we had been there, we would have said the same thing. La Ilahe Illallah Moses Rasullullah, we would say. But since we are Mohammedan, we say, La Ilahe Illallah Mohammeden Rasullullah, insha'Allah. "The magicians threw themselves down in prostration." And they said 'We have believed in the Lord of all the worlds'. " they said. In other words, they cast money, possessions and everything aside. These people had real character. "The Lord of Moses and Aaron." This is very important. For example, we believe in Allah in the Qur'an brought by our Prophet (saas). For example, some describe Allah and speak only of His ruling the sky. But that is not Allah. Is it? Or he says that Allah's power is only in the underground. That is not so. We believe in the Allah described in the Qur'an. We believe Allah as described in the Torah, the Gospel and the Psalms. We believe in Allah as described in the true Gospel, the true Torah, the true Psalms and the true Qur'an, we believe in Allah in the true meaning of the word. That is why they say "The Lord of Moses and Aaron.""Pharaoh said 'Have you had belief in him before I authorized you?" There is an official ideology. What right do you have to believe, he asks. How can you do that, he says, 'You must do what I say.' "He is your chief who taught you magic." Counter-propagandaya begins. He tells them they have been brainwashed, "he is your chief" he says. "…But you will soon know! I will cut off your alternate hands and feet". This time He becomes psychopathic. First it was prison and now psychopathic behavior, with the cutting off of alternate hands and feet. The alleged Ergenekon organization used such techniques, "hog tie" and similar. "...And I will crucify every one of you." Typical Ergenekon way of speaking. The way the members of the alleged Ergenekon organization speak. They are always on about ropes and hanging people. They boast of having hanged [former Turkish Prime Minister] Adnan Menderes. They boast of having martyred earlier prime ministers. Killing, hanging and crucifying is all part of the alleged Ergenekon organization mindset. Their mentality is the same. But look what those heroes say: "We do not care!"They are completely heroic. How do they reply; "We are returning to our Lord." They are telling him to do his worst, in other words. You can hang us, cut us, murder us, do whatever you like, they say. They are challenging him to do as ever he likes, right? "We remain hopeful that our Lord will forgive us our mistakes for being the first of the muminun." They just care that their sins would be forgiven, I mean they do not attach any importance to him cutting up or crucifying. "We revealed to Moses: 'Travel with Our slaves by night. You will certainly be pursued'." Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also act by night as you know. "You will certainly be pursued." The accounts state that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will be placed under surveillance. Hazrat Mahdi will be pursued as well in his time. That is those concerned with the matter will keep him under constant observation.
PRESENTER: But nobody will know who, will they?
ADNAN OKTAR: I think it will be the alleged Ergenekon organization and freemasonry. Because they speak of armed men. It is stated that the armed men of the anti-Christ(dajjal) will follow Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). They will observe what he does, whether he speaks on the phone, where he goes, everything he does. "They said, 'We have iman in the Lord of all the worlds, the Lord of Moses and Aaron'." They say, "We remain hopeful that our Lord will forgive us our mistakes for being the first of the muminun." "We revealed to Moses: 'Travel with Our slaves by night. You will certainly be pursued'. Pharaoh sent marshals into the cities." Pharaoh is now preparing for a military intervention. "These people are a small group" The community of Moses was a small one, in the same way that the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will be few in number. This is made clear in the verse – "These people are a small group." The alleged Ergenekon organization has a military structure, hasn't it? They act through a chain of command and constitute an armed force. Insha'Allah. They have tens of thousands, even millions of supporters, militants. "These people are a small group and we find them irritating." That is they say the Muslims must be feeling enmity toward us. Saying that they are irritating, they are inciting the people against them. In other words, these are dangerous people, full of anger, who will murder and torture you. They are full of anger, so get ready to defend yourselves. Crush them before they crush you. Where in fact these are Muslims and have no scores to settle with anyone. 'Let us go and we will leave', they say. They do not intend to kill or torture anyone.
PRESENTER: But they are doing that for incitement.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes. They say this to incite people. Since they are angry and getting ready to kill you, you must kill them first. Consequently he is inciting people against them. He first claimed they wanted to take over the state, and is now making this claim. 'Be careful, there is this hatred for your community. And take your revenge. Do what needs to be done' is the message he is sending. "…we constitute a vigilant majority." We are enlightened and progressive. " we constitute a vigilant majority." He claims that the others are backward and inward-looking, and are people whose mind do not work that well. That is their claim pronounced in many places in the Qur'an. He said " we constitute a vigilant majority." "We expelled them from gardens and springs." They all chase after the Prophet Moses and his followers, in the form of an army, en masse. "…from treasures and a splendid situation." That is to say even though they are in treasures they leave them behind and gird their swords and put on their headgear and set out in pursuit of them. They are very excited as they are going to perpetrate a terrible slaughter. They are going to massacre Muslims. The alleged Ergenekon organization recorded the name of 3 million Muslims to be slaughtered. Three million… These were all identified in their local communities. Starting with me. Now let us see how they are going to do that. "…from treasures and a splendid situation. So it was! And We bequeathed them to the tribe of Israel." Allah says He will tell them to stop and they will lose all their power, and Muslims will inherit their goods, means and possessions. What does this refer to in the End Times? To Turkish-Islamic union. They want to deprive Muslims of their lands, don't they? They are trying to divide and disunite them and eliminate them. On the contrary, by Allah's leave, Insha'Allah, the Turkish-Islamic Union will impound all of those. We will attain an enormous wealth and strength, insha'Allah. "So they pursued them at sunrise.” At sunrise. This refers to the time of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as). This is a secondary, figurative meaning. The pursuit draws closer. This is the 60th verse. And the 1960s were the time when Adnan Menderes was hanged, wasn't it? Insha'Allah. "And when the two hosts came into sight of one another Moses's companions said, 'We will surely be overtaken!'" They say they have been caught.
That was when they saw Pharaoh's army, as they were beside the sea. This side is the sea and the army is on the other side , so they say 'We will surely be overtaken!' Look what did the Prophet Moses(pbuh), the lion of Allah, say; "He said, 'Never! My Lord is with me and He will guide me.' " He says that it is impossible. See " He said, 'Never!' " He says never.. "My Lord is with me and He will guide me."
That is how it is with Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), too. He can never be stopped. Never. "So We revealed to Moses, 'Strike the sea with your staff.' And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff." At that moment, Almighty Allah produced either a tsunami or something like it, and the sea completely withdrew.
But the reference to the sea dividing in two does not mean it solidified like concrete. The sea withdrew. Waves are very high in the event of tsunamis. Really high, 5, 10 or 15 meters high waves occur. A very tall wave forms and then retreats. These people see nothing unusual in it since they encounter such phenomena every once in a while. But it is a great miracle how one took place just then. An event which normally happens just once every year or every 5 or 10 years, or once in 20-30 years, occurs in that exact moment. They are unaware, though, and imagine the sea retreated normally. They think it was the tides. You know the tides. They thought it was the normal withdrawal of the sea and the army plunged in after the followers of the Prophet Moses with its horses. "Moses said, 'Never! My Lord is with me and He will guide me.' So We revealed to Moses, 'Strike the sea with your staff.' And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff." When it is said "a towering cliff" people imagine that a path of 7-8 meters opened up. That is not so. The sea opened up completely. Insha'Allah. Free will is never eliminated. That is to say the free will is never eliminated in any event of miracles. I mean, no situation ever arises in which people would be compelled to believe. In any event the reason why Pharaoh's people follow them was that they saw no danger. And people of the Prophet Moses(pbuh) continued their wildness even after they reached the other side. That is how we can see that their free will was not eliminated. "We brought the others right up to it," says Allah. Pharaoh's army. "We rescued Moses and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest." The waters suddenly closed over Pharaoh's army. Just as the complete army had reached the middle of the Red Sea with their horses, the sea closed suddenly over them and swallowed them all up.
PRESENTER: Was Pharaoh among them?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, Pharaoh was there. "There is certainly a Sign in that yet most of them are not believers (muminun). Truly your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. Recite to them the story of Abraham when he said to his father and his people, 'What do you worship?' They said, 'We worship idols and will continue to cling to them'." What are the idols of the End Times? Darwinism and materialism. What do the prophets strike down first? Idols. What will Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) strike down first? Idols. What is the idol of the End of Times? Darwinism. He will strike it down. The greatest idol, the worst there has ever been in the history of the world, is Darwinism. There is no event bigger than Darwinism ever since the time of the Prophet Adam(pbuh) to the Day of Reckoning.
In other words, there has been no heretical idea of the anti-Christ (dajjal) as corrupt as that of the corruption of Darwinism and materialism, which has made the whole world atheist and led to the deaths of 350 million people and the destruction of thousands of towns. And there has never been such a widespread anti-Christ tendency that has sucked in professors and academics, thousands of schools and universities, hundreds of thousands of schools and universities. This is the first time. And Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will totally demolish it.
