ADNAN OKTAR:“In the same way that we believe that Allah possesses supreme intelligence.” For Hazrat Mahdi (as), “we must be sure that there is wisdom in all he does.” In other words, he is saying that there is wisdom in everything that Hazrat Mahdi (as) does. “We must do that even if we are unaware of the wisdom hidden in the detail.” He says there is wisdom in the detail, that you cannot know it, and that you must simply obey him. “The wisdom will emerge later, in the same way as the wisdom behind Khidr’s (as) damaging the boat or the building of the wall.” In other words, the wisdom will become apparent after incidents have happened. Just as with Khidr (as). “Do not look at the surface and have doubts about Hazrat Mahdi (as)”, he says insha’Allah. “It was not clarified until the Prophet Moses (as) and he parted company.” In other words, he says that he did not reveal himself. “O son of Fazl, this is the work of Allah. The secret and wisdom of this occultation is one of the pieces of wisdom and secrets of Allah.” In other words, the occultation of Hazrat Mahdi (as).
As you know, the Prophet Moses (as) could not forbear, the blessed one. This subject came up three times. Khidr (as) said at the start, “You will not be able to endure what I do.” “Moses said, ‘You will find me patient, if Allah wills, and I will not disobey you in any matter’.” In other words, he would not disagree with him. But Khidr (as) said, “Then if you follow me, do not question me about anything until I myself make mention of it to you.” “Otherwise I shall not continue,” he said.
He went to a boat and scuppered it. The boat sat on the sea bed. On the shore – this most probably happened in Istanbul. Because he refers to ‘the other side.’ They were on the Asian side, to the best of my understanding, and on the other side was a tyrannical king. Further ahead, at that time. He says he seized all sound boats. He says he deliberately did it, so that it would look like a poor people’s boat and not be commandeered by the king. That is one of the subjects the Prophet Moses (as) objected to. For instance, Khidr (as) built a wall up, being a wall-builder himself at the same time. He built an excellent wall, insha’Allah. Moses (as) asks why he did not take money for doing that. He says that there was treasure under the wall, belonging to two young orphans in the town. He says we wanted them to come of age, then unearth the treasure for themselves and that nobody else should find it. This reference to the orphans also indicates to Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as), insha’Allah. The Qur’an suggests they will also unearth treasures. That is one thing. The third indication is that Khidr (as) will assist Hazrat Mahdi (as). He will assist Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as) in an extraordinary way. That is what the hadith also suggest, insha’Allah.
PRESENTER: Salamunalaikum. In one hadith in the Sunan Ibn Majah our Prophet (pbuh) says that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is from the Ahl al-Bayt and that Allah will purify him in one night. Could you please tell us something about the secret knowledge and wisdom possessed by Hazrat Mahdi (as)? Kenan Orhun asks.
ADNAN OKTAR: Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be very sharp and intelligent. He will possess a very deep mind. He will possess secret knowledge. He will have an attribute that people are unaware of, that is that he will possess secret knowledge. There is an account that this is one of the reasons why his name is not given. He will be led toward a knowledge that nobody possesses. Hazrat Mahdi (as) is like Khidr (as), inasmuch as he immediately grasps the secret side of things and acts accordingly, though it is impossible to understand this superficially. Because the great majority of people will assume an unfavorable attitude towards him, for which reason his followers will number 313. That is a very small number. How many Muslims are there in the world? Hundreds of millions, or billions?
ADNAN OKTAR: Look, 313 people out of 1.5 billion Muslims will recognize him. And Hazrat Mahdi (as) will act with these 313 people for many years, while the Muslim world of 1.5 billion will be unaware of him. Our Prophet (pbuh) says that people will say he is on the wrong path and that they should abandon him. Furthermore, he says that a scholar in Medina, a hypocrite in Istanbul, will openly accuse him of irreligion. He will say that he has done away with our faith and will try to incite people against him. That bigot of the End Times will say, “He had done away with our faith, wiped out the Shariah” They ask to our Prophet (pbuh), “Which Medina, O Rasulullah?” And he says Istanbul or Constantinople. Because the word ‘medina’ just means city. It applies to Izmir or Ankara or London. But when the name is revealed, it is clear which Medina it is, not just any Medina.
