ADNAN OKTAR: There is now atalk here and there about “Adnan Hodja supporting dialogue, tolerance.” These two words are quite unnecessary. Dialogue and tolerance. What are you going to tolerate? If a man commits a crime or makes a mistake, can that be tolerated? That is unlawful, so how can we tolerate it? Dialogue? What does dialogue mean? Everyone in any case talks to everyone else. Do I need to propose a dialogue with you in order to talk to you here? Do we have to issue an invitation to dialogue to talk to a Christian? In the time of our Prophet (saas), he enjoined good to them and forbid them from evil. But is that dialogue? He described the religion of Allah to them. He was affectionate to them, and a great many became Muslims. People now tell us not to talk to them, not to tell them of the religion and to sever all links. What should we do instead? They say that they should be killed. But I am no psychopath. That is what psychopaths do. Where did you get that idea from? They are also servants of Allah. Christians and Jews are the People of the Book, and the rules regarding them are set out in the Qur’an. As a matter of fact, Allah says that we will find Christians “closer to yourselves.” Our Prophet (saas) therefore preached to the Jews and ate with them, didn’t he? He attended their weddings and enjoyed all kinds of human, social relations with them. And a great many of them became Muslims. What is there to debate about? They say that we should not talk to Jews. They also say that we will not tell them about the religion and be good role models for them. If we listened to these people we should be cutting their heads off, instead. But they should rather be cutting all this misinformation out of their own heads. Give up all these ideas of killing and slaughtering and butchering.
OKTAR BABUNA: You have explained verses from the Qur’an very clearly. And with examples from the life of the Prophet (saas) and the hadith, insha’Allah.
