PRESENTER: And Mr. Oktar will talk on it, yes Mr. Oktar would you look at what this little creatures are doing? Look how it has shouldered an object that is many times bigger than its size.
ADNAN OKTAR: Look how fast it is MashaAllah. It is as if carrying a 250 kg when compared to its own body, I mean what this little thing is doing is like carrying such a weight and running with it. Look how studious it is with his little body.
PRESENTER: A lot, it is just like a campaign I mean, they are carrying the same sorts of leaves.
ADNAN OKTAR: Moreover the ants, the leaf cutting ants, these are ants whose most distinct feature is their habit of carrying the piece of leaves above their heads to their nests. They shoulder the leafs and carry them. If a comparison is to be made what an ant is doing is like a man running 1 km with a 250 kg load on him in 2,5 minutes. During this process approximately 500 thousand ants are acting as if they have one single brain. These ants do not eat these leaves they cut from the trees because the ants feed only on a specific type of mushroom. Look how vigilant they are. The ants are using these leaves as raw materials for agricultural purposes. They are going to cultivate mushrooms with these raw materials. And they establish hundreds of mushroom plantations within their nests and they use these leaves. The leaf cutting mechanism in the jaws of these leaf cutting ants consists of two knives. The Almighty Allah had coated the knives with zinc for extra sharpness . I mean this is something that had been determined in laboratory, their little zinc coated saws. A specific organ below the head of the ant emits high frequency audio waves, this emission is transferred to the leaves through the knives and these audio waves cause the leaves to become more fragile and easier to be cut, and these little creatures chop them off instantly with a crackling sound.
PRESENTER: And the shape of the leaves they cut are almost always the same, I mean they just take the part that is necessary for them.
PRESENTER: As I understand they do not take the part that is not necessary for them,
