From Mr. Adnan Oktar’s interview on Kral Karadeniz, Adıyaman Asu and Ekin TV on January-11, 2010
PRESENTER: In one verse, Allah says that people with unsullied minds think and reflect. When whispering comes my way, rather than responding to it, I keep my mind clear and banish it from my thoughts. How can a Muslim strengthen his mind and conscience against whisperings by the leave of Allah, insha’Allah?
ADNAN OKTAR: Whispering is a subject that people regard as one of the most difficult things in the world. That is to say whisperings can come to someone day or night. It may come concerned with his health or his faith, or other people and events, about their beauty or something else. That is something very frequently seen, for instance, a woman looks in the mirror one day and decides that she is not beautiful, the next day she may think she is lovely, and then ugly again by lunchtime. This also happens with young people and teenagers. One day they imagine they are enormously handsome, the next day they think differently, and this weakness only comes to an end in Paradise. It ends in Paradise, but people have a great need of this in order to grow. Were it not for whisperings, the human brain would remain static. By fighting against it, we both develop our characters and ensure that our characters in Paradise are strengthened. In other words, we move towards having a very strong character. At the end, the believer says, and there is a verse about this, a verse from the Qur’an; “ Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him.” I am saying this in summary, of course. In other words, Almighty Allah aims both parties being pleased, His servant pleasing Him and His servant being pleased. That is what Allah says. And Allah says that when both of those conditions are met, that person goes to Paradise to join the other devout Muslims in the verse.. What is one to do when whispering starts? One answer to such whispering is this; let them leave it to be considered 10 years later . They will be unable to recall any of those whisperings in 10 years’ time. It won’t even come to their minds. If they were asked about the points that were considered to be the biggest problem of the day,if they were asked what those points were, they would fail to remember it. They may get tired of life on that day, for instance they feel so sometimes, may Allah forbid, and get really depressed. But if you remind them what the problem was in 10 years’ time, they would have no idea or recollection. That means it in fact was something utterly vain. The best thing is to constantly seek refuge in Allah, never to forget destiny and to look with affection on everything created by Allah. That is because there is a feeling of hatred and revenge in human’s soul. And these are very powerful emotions. You know the way you want to eat when you smell a cake cooking or a piece of meat roasting? Well, one wants to inflict hatred and revenge in the same way. One may to wreak destruction in order to enjoy his revenge.
PRESENTER: I have no hatred in me. Not everyone is like that.
ADNAN OKTAR: You are such a nice person. But Allah says in a verse that human beings are cruel and ignorant, that means they have a predisposition to cruelty. Of course there are exceptions, very good people, that’s why I like you so much. You are such a good intentioned, sweet, well mannered person. Allah reflects that in your face too. You look like little lambs. But not every person is like that. Some literally adopt hatred as their profession. There are women like that in particular, aged around 50, with rusty blond hair. I always describe them, with nails like eagle’s talons. They call them frumps. There is nobody that they love. They neither love their spouses nor sons, nor anyone around. They rumble about the government, the public authorities, their families, their neighbors. They constantly make insinuations and raise their voices. No matter what you tell them, they respond in a bad way. Due to the hatred and rage they harbor inside, they look like an iguana. Allah takes away all the light from their faces and they look like iguanas walking around on two legs. They become a case of hatred and anger. This also happens with men in the same way. They are full of hatred and darkness radiates from their hands and faces. Isn’t that right? They are really stressed and tense.
PRESENTER: This happens a bit because of their jealousy.
ADNAN OKTAR: Jealousy, of course jealousy is a terrible scourge. For example you are such a beautiful person. There would be those who would be jealous of you. But Allah protects you. Because you're very kind hearted and well mannered. But that is how it is in schools. I remember it from my days for instance one asks another how an exam went, and he says it went very badly. But that person would get full marks, 10 points, so why does he say that? It is because if he says it went well, he is concerned that the other student might get jealous and cause him problems. Then they act as if they were surprised when they get full marks, saying they handed in an empty piece of paper and wonder how that could have happened. But that is a tactic. For instance because of their jealousy when you ask them to explain the solution of an easy problem to one of their friends they make a real meal out of it, pretending it is really hard and that they cannot make head or tail of it. Or imagine a bit of information about the computer. If it is easy, they will not want to explain it in simple terms. They will make it sound hard and really difficult. They make something easy to grasp appear really complicated. That also stems from jealousy. For instance they generally do not tell a beautiful person that they look nice, because of jealousy. For example you are very beautiful. But a jealous person would find terrible faults with you, with his dirty mind he would say such things about you out of a contemptible rage that you would be startled, baffled. That is because hatred pervades his soul. However when one looks at the other, he should see only their good sides. Allah is manifested in them. ,One should regard them with love, compassion and a desire to protect them. That is an innocent servant of Allah. A humble manifestation of Allah. And when one looks with compassion and in a manner seeking beauty in everything , Allah makes that even lovelier. One has to look for the best in all things. They see a dog as the Prophet Jesus (as) is walking along with his followers, and they say what an ugly-looking dog that is. But the Prophet Jesus (as) remarks how clean its teeth are. He says its teeth are bright white. Only its teeth are seen. That is why we need to look for the best in everything. Paradise is the abode of beauty, and we have to have souls with which to choose beauty. Because in the Paradise, -I am saying this for you to understand- but Allah has no need for making any efforts or caring for something, but the Paradise has created with great effort and care. There is a gloriously created Paradise. But it would be unacceptable, may Allah forbid, to ignore the details of this. In this world, too, Allah has so carefully created the cell, mitochondria, living things, fruits, plants and vegetables. I sometimes go to mall, for example. There is a market where they sell fruit. The view is breathtaking, bright red apples, delicious pears, crimson plums, melons... There is a piece of wood in the damp soil. Allah causes these fruits to rain down from the trees. They pile them onto lorries all over the world and bring them to the wholesalers. Fruit bursts from the ground all over the world. And there is enough for everyone to eat. There is enough for animals, too, and still more just goes to waste. There is so much. Now, if one ignores this, or says it happened by chance, then Allah will create fruit for such people in the Hereafter that will look and taste as if it came into being by chance. They will taste it. There is fruit in Hell, for instance. But just like they said, it looks as if it came into being by chance. It is that horrible and disgusting. Allah causes such fresh water to spout forth from the ground. Wherever you drop an artesian well, water bubbles up from it. Bright, crystal clear water. But that is not so in Hell. The water in Hell is boiling and sulfurous. They can never drink cold water. The food is utterly disgusting there. People also look horrible. They are black and dirty. They used to say that people came into being as a result of mutations, and that is just what they look like. For instance their heads are on their bottoms. Their bottom is on top. Their arms are where their legs ought to be. They look really odd. These people used to believe in chance and mutations, didn’t they? Alright there these people would look exactly like they have come into being by chance. Allah will show them as if a product of randomness. Allah will say see how how random creation would be. Right? A universe that came into being by chance would be like that, disgusting and full of smoke and dust everywhere. Almighty Allah will ask “is this not in accordance with your beliefs, is this not your belief, here you are I created it in line with your beliefs”, He will say. He will say: “This was what those had believed in. They had a belief in Paradise. And so I created them in Paradise,” He will say. He has created a place for everyone in line with their beliefs. Allah will ask if there is any injustice in that. No there isn’t, because they will truly believe that [evolution] also in the Hereafter. They will have the same wrong mentality in the Hereafter as well. Right? So there will be nothing for anyone to complain about. They give very self-confident accounts in this world. Do not they talk about mutations and Darwinism? They are very sure of themselves. And so will they describe these things again with self-confidence there as well. They will collect the rabble of Hell around themselves and explain mutations and Darwinism in a very detailed manner. And they will listen to them there, insha’Allah.
