Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on Gaziantep Olay TV, March 30th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: I have a guest. We will have a brief talk in the second half, insha'Allah. We will talk for 10-15 minutes. I have two guests. The first is the mufti of Jerusalem. The events in Jerusalem are also upsetting them, of course. As you know, there is this climate of tension and unease between Muslims and Jews. The mufti of Jerusalem has honored us by expressing his wish to come. And we have another worthy guest concerned with these subjects. Insha'Allah, we will also learn his views. Like us, the mufti of Jerusalem is awaiting the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), masha'Allah. He wants the global dominion of Islam. But the kind of Islamic dominion of the world that we want to see will make this world a paradise for Jews, Christians and Muslims. In other words, we are opposed to a mindset that wants to slaughter Jews one by one, women, children and all of them. Because the provisions regarding the People of the Book are explicit. The Sunnah of the Prophet (saas) is explicit. They will be protected and watched over in this time in the same way they were protected and watched over in the time of our Prophet (saas) and in Ottoman times. We are therefore opposed to such scenarios of savagery. We will work against such ideas of savagery. One such activity is to raise people's consciousness, one by one, insha'Allah.
The mufti of Jerusalem has honored us with his presence before. This is his second visit. He is a very fervent and enthusiastic person, masha'Allah. But both Jews and Muslims must leave peace to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). It will be accomplished by Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Otherwise, it is unacceptable for them to say "We will build a temple resembling the Masjid of Solomon in the way we so wish in the region or in such a way as to take in the al-Aqsa Mosque. That is also the same in Judaic belief, that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will build it. Any other attempt to construct it will just lead to disorder, pain and suffering. Salvation for Jews and Muslims lies in their following Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), insha'Allah. It is essential they follow the Qur'an and adopt Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) as their leader. But apart from that, there has always been bloodshed and suffering resulting from every action undertaken speculatively, from a mindset of try it and see what happens if we build it. Both sides have been hurt and suffered. Jews have suffered and Muslims have suffered. But nothing else has happened. It has just served the interests of the irreligious. Insha'Allah.
ALTUG BERKER: Insha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: They are here at this moment. The mufti of Jerusalem is here, and that great guest of ours is here. I suggested they rest for a while, and we can speak for 10-15 minutes in the second half, insha'Allah.
Yes. Look, the Torah says this on the subject; the Mahdi "will reign only over his couch." (Talmud, Sanhedrin, 20b) It says "only over his couch", that is from his home, from where he lives with his thoughts and ideas. This means he will be a spiritual leader, not engaged in politics.
"And he [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] will be called wonderful counselor." (Isaiah, 9:6) He is a counselor, who gives advice.
"[Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] will not come... unless they will renounce their hope to be redeemed." (Talmud, Sanhedrin 97a) Look, Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will come when he is forgotten and not expected. They will say he will never come, or that the real issue is a different one, or that 'he is a collective personality'. They will say 'he is the Rays of Light.' Or they will say 'he has come and gone.' Or they will say 'he will come in 570 years' time.' Some will say, 'he is a spirit and cannot be seen.' Some will say 'he will never come.' Look what the Torah says on the subject, "[Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] will not come... unless they will renounce their hope to be redeemed." The hadith say the same thing, don't they?
"Your eyes will see the King [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] in his beauty..." (Isaiah, 33:17). Everyone will see him.
"You are the most excellent of men..." (Psalms, 45:2).This is said for the King; "You love righteousness and hate wickedness..." (Psalms, 45:7).
"... He [your king] will proclaim peace to the nations." (Zechariah, 9:10)
"[Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] is righteous and having salvation, gentle..." (Zechariah, 9:9)He will be just, a savior, a just savior, humble and modest, it says.
"... In faithfulness he [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] will bring forth justice." (Isaiah, 42:3) In other words, his justice will be very excellent.
"He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth..." (Isaiah, 42:4)
"He was oppressed and afflicted." (Isaiah, 53:7) Look what it says about Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), he was oppressed and afflicted. So, he will be subjected to pressure and oppression. The Torah says that. "He did not open his mouth." (Isaiah, 53:7) He says nothing, in other words. "Like a lamb to the slaughter" (Isaiah, 53:7) it says of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). He makes no sound, like a lamb being led to slaughter.
Almighty Allah addresses him in these words in the Torah; "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty." (Zechariah, 4:6) This is adressing the Messiah, the King Messiah, Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Not through brute force, conflict and war. He says you will only succeed with "My spirit." In other words, you will succeed with the truths of the Qur'an and the signs leading to faith.
"But his delight is in the law of the Lord." (Psalms, 1:2) In other words, the delight thereof is in the Qur'an. "And on His law he meditates day and night." (Psalms, 1:2) Day and night, he will think of the Qur'an and Allah's commands.
"... He [your King] will proclaim peace to the nations." (Zechariah, 9:10) He will tell all mankind of peace.
"He [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] shall not cry, nor lift up." (Isaiah, 42:2) In other words, people shout and become angry and lose control of themselves, but he will do no such thing. He will be a very conscious person.
This goes on for some 15 pages. All from the Torah and about Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). I imagine it would take hours to read them all. They are described in so much detail. It is the same with the hadith where Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is described in hundreds of pages.
