ADNAN OKTAR: There are people who have a consuming hatred for the Jews. What do they want from these poor people? They are down-to-earth people. These people say, “They are massacring the Palestinians.” Look, the prisons are full of murderers. For example, we are living in Turkey, and if one killer is Turkish, does that mean that all of Turkey is a murderer? Whoever does the deed is the killer. He is the cruel. There is a principle of individual criminal responsibility. Whoever does the deed is guilty, so what do they want from poor, innocent people? The Jews believe in the Oneness of Allah, in the Hereafter and Paradise and Hell. They love all the prophets. Some Jews I speak to when they came here even say that Islam is a true faith, and has a true prophet. But they say that under their belief they have a duty to preserve the Torah. They have such a faith. That is why we abide by the Torah, they say. But they explicitly say that Muhammad (saas) is a prophet. They state that the Qur’an is explicitly a true book. There are people who say that… We need to be patient and compassionate. But we are agreed on many things, on the Oneness of Allah, and they believe in the angels, the djinn and destiny. They believe in the Hereafter and the Doomsday. We have too many things in common. When there is such a person, you go and show respect to your next-door neighbor who is distant to religion and who is even against religion. For example they say “Mr. Naci, Mr. Memduh” and they scrub their hands out of respect before them. They almost tremble out of respect if they are their boss. What crime have these people [devout Jews] committed? What have they done? Why do you not show compassion to them? And they reject terror completely. I speak with the rabbis who come here, and they are full of love and affection. They severely condemn it. We must therefore distinguish between the innocent and the guilty. We cannot treat everyone the same way. We must show them love. We brought them [Jews] here all the way from Spain, gave them food and drink and made a home for them, and they lived in peace. That is what Islamic moral values demand. That is what Islamic manners demand. The principle is compassion. The other way of thinking means eliminating all believers, which is a very satanic thought, insha’Allah.
