PRESENTER: Next week is the week of the holy birth, insha'Allah. I would like to hear something about that from you, if it is okay by you. 

ADNAN OKTAR: Insha'Allah. People need to be told about our most lovely Prophet's (saas) superior moral values and his beautiful countenance in the finest manner. I have previously read books about the Prophet's (saas) Shamaa'il (blessed countenance) books talking about our Prophet(saas), but I could not see the requisite love and endearment in those books, in some of them. For example, they say in a distant manner, "He was neither short, nor tall." That is right, but is that all? Why not give an enthusiastic account of his beauty, his attractiveness and his superiority? I then prepared my own book about The Life of Our Prophet (saas). That was the mostly appreciated countenance of the Prophet (saas). Everyone agreed on that, it was a book written with real love and affection. It was an excellent description of our Prophet (saas). I surely exonerate the narrative of the companions and their accounts, of course, and I am not referring to them. I am referring to a number of works written subsequently. I saw that their narration was as cold as ice.

ALTUG BERKER: Now that book has gone into its 17th printing, masha'Allah. I don't remember if you mentioned before, but you had its latest edition published with smell of roses.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes. They brought it to me last week and it really smells lovely, of roses. And that smell seems to very long-lasting, masha'Allah. There was a hideous woman talking about our Prophet (saas) the other day. A friend wrote in, saying; "This person is talking out of place about the Prophet (saas). That woman has become very well known in Europe." I asked who this was, and they downloaded information about her from the internet for me. I looked and saw she was an ugly, repugnant old woman. She talks about the Prophet (saas) in a horrible crowing voice using the most rabid language. She is obsessed with the intimate life and marriages of our Prophet (saas). She imagines, in her own eyes, she can attack him from that aspect. They have even put her in the top 100 now, among the top 100 people in the world. It is a terrible mistake to include her among the top 100 people in the world instead of putting her in 100 most despicable person in the world. I am now placing her name among the 100 most despicable people in the world. I talked about this the other day. All our Prophet's (saas) marriages were very excellent, accurate, auspicious and beautiful. Allah bestowed that on him as a blessing. There was the intent to preach the religion in that, and also our Prophet's (saas) joyous love of women. There was also the greater perfection of the service toward him and much other wisdom beside. For our Prophet(saas) to be pleased with these women is a very a great blessing for him while doing that.

I mean to be embarrassed by that, some Muslims are acting really irrationally to cover this up and try to make it seem as if it was a cause of shame. This is really upsetting. Why do you get married, in that case? Why do you get involved in sexuality? Why do you think or claim you will enjoy being married? Why is it a blessing for you, but not for our Prophet (saas), is that right? With that irritating self of yours you are enjoying it. But when it comes to the Prophet (saas), you say it is wrong. They even regard it as wrong for the Prophet (saas) to eat. They allege the Prophet (saas) used to tie stones to his stomach out of hunger pains, they claim that the Prophet was tying stones on his stomach out of hunger and go around like that and the companions were just watching him, watch the hunger of our Prophet (saas). Look, the companions are being insulted here, too. Which companion could possibly stand that? Would the companions let the Prophet (saas) walk around hungry with stones tied to his stomach? The companions were very rich. How could such a thing be possible? Right? For that reason his marriages were also a blessing for him. There was the intent to preach the word, and our Prophet (saas) also delighted in women very much. He was very strong and healthy, and also very handsome. He did very well masha’Allah, Alhamdulillah. I am ashamed of those people who are embarrassed by that. I mean , I do know what I will say to those, if ever I get the opportunity.

Is this anything to be covered up? Are there no marriages in Paradise? Are there no houris and women in Paradise? So why is it so repugnant in this world? If there are illicit relations or prostitution, that is ugly. Allah bestowed this [marriage] as a blessing, didn't He? And the wives of our Prophet (saas) are our mothers. It is therefore very wrong and unpleasant to give passive replies to such a rabble as this. That is just playing into their hands. Because people are embarrassed by this and try to cover it up. They say: "Our Prophet (saas) just wanted to protect them, as they were abandoned and left hungry and thirsty, and he organized a kind of secure environment for them. He only married them to provide them with food, a home and shelter, not because he liked them or was affected by these women." This is a most infuriating and dishonest statement. All the Prophet's (saas) wives were in love with him when they married him. They were all in love with the Prophet (saas) and loved him with a deep affection and they were all admiring him and were delighted in his beauty. And he also liked his wives, our mothers. This is a splendid thing, something to be proud of.

For example, if I had a daughter I would at once want her to marry our Prophet (saas). Anything else would be out of the question, by Allah's leave. That is the first thing I would want. Right? I would have disowned her, if she wanted to marry another just because he is a rich man. I would have disowned her if she wanted someone else just because he was handsome. And I would have disowned her if she married someone else just because he was young. For instance, our Prophet (saas) was aged and very young women married him. My mothers married him at the age of 18 or 19. They acted perfectly right. Our Prophet (saas) was just the kind of person to fall in love with, and they were deeply in love with him. Reason found its way and they all behaved well. I am proud of that. Such people are atrocious, they are people who lost love. Such people are called enemies of all men and these are all sick types. These kind of people are zealots and they hate everyone. Such people for instance would never accept, even with the most ideal person, they would never accept to be married. They have gone astray, and have become enemies of every human. That is why they are so bemused by our Prophet's (saas) love for his wives. Our Prophet (saas) was in love with everything created by Allah, and also with his wives. He loved them as manifestations of Allah, and that is a great religious observance, a most accurate one, Alhamdulillah.
