From Mr. Adnan Oktar’s interview on Kanal Avrupa on April-25, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:Our brother’s efforts regarding the establishment of the Turkish-Islamic Union must be like breathing. They cannot hold their breath for more than a moment, can they? They immediately need to breathe. Likewise, the Turkish-Islamic Union is a subject that must be constantly talked about and insisted on. Insistent demand is very important. Take prayer; we pray all the time, don’t we? Every day, we never miss a day. Prayer must never cease on the subject of the Turkish-Islamic Union, either. Our brothers must strive, in a most persistent way, until the Turkish-Islamic Union is established. They should strive everywhere. For example, they can talk to the driver when they get into a taxi. They can talk along the lines of; “if we had the Turkish-Islamic Union, if all Muslims were united, if the Turkic world were united, how good and excellent that would be.” Just two words, and they would immediately enter that person’s head. Or they can talk to the waiter when they go to a restaurant. Or when they buy fruit from the greengrocer they can say, “Insha’Allah, when the Turkish-Islamic Union is established, trade and goods will increase, everywhere will be lovelier, plenty and abundance will come and there will be even finer fruits in that time, insha’Allah, and the environment will be much improved.” Or they can broach the subject indirectly, in a more oblique manner. For example, if the sales assistant says, “Business is bad” when they go to buy clothes, they can say: “Once the Turkish-Islamic Union has been established, sales to all Muslim countries and the Turkic world will be much greater. Business will be much livelier and there will then be much more abundance and good.” Our brothers must fix that idea in people’s heads. In other words, this good outcome can only come from persistent demand. One cannot just say, “I have mentioned it once before, so what is the need?” It is vitally important for Turkey to be a superstate, a world leader. Because the most virtuous people, those with the most conscience, are in Turkey. I am not being racist here. But if the Germans were to be given this job, they could not do it. Their nature is not suited to it. Give it to the Hungarians and they could not do it. You see that America cannot do it. They bomb and kill, but cannot do it. But Turkey goes to Afghanistan, for instance, and everyone embraces it. Even American troops fly the Turkish flag from their vehicles, for security purposes. The truth is plain to see, isn’t it? We go to Somalia for example, the Turks. We go to Bosnia, and the Turks are embraced and really popular. There are French troops there, but they are ill at ease. They cannot establish that warm, humane environment. Turkish troops in Bosnia go to the mosques, and people there weep from joy. They are delighted by it. They go to restaurants but nobody will let them pay. Look at America; “Rule the world,” they say. They have ruined Afghanistan and Iraq. They have cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and also of young Americans. They have also ruined their own people. Thousands of young Americans have lost their lives there. They have cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of Muslims. Afghanistan is in a wretched state now. It is a shame for those poor people. The Iraqis are in a wretched state, too. Mosques are being bombed every day. What kind of world rule is that? What kind of world leadership is that? Such tragedies will never take place once the Turkish-Islamic Union is established under Turkish leadership. Could that even be possible? It is inconceivable. The whole world knows that. America is pleading for that, too. Please come to Iraq, let us increase the troop numbers, but we want to stay on, they say. That is unacceptable. You must withdraw completely. Isn’t that right? You must turn it over to us, and then it will be fine. Imagine that America has completely withdrawn from Iraq. Imagine Turkish troops have taken over control. One company of troops would be enough. One company. Nothing else would be needed. Security would immediately be in place. A single battalion would be enough in all of Afghanistan. One Turkish battalion would do the job. Let America pull out entirely, and they will be restored to life. That is why our brothers must insist on the subject of Turkish leadership. For example, there is an uprising in Kyrgyzstan. If there were just one Turkish battalion there, just one. The Kyrgyz people would embrace them. It is impossible that there would be any uprising or similar incident. No such thing will be possible under the Turkish-Islamic Union. There is irregularity. They go everywhere, even into the Parliament building, where they beat people up and throw them out. The whole thing is a disgrace. Bediüzzaman says “once the Turkish-Islamic Union is established it will have the largest army in the world.” That is plain to see. The armies of all Muslim countries will be unified under a central command. Turkey’s experience is well known. Imagine the armies of the whole Islamic and Turkic world under the command of Turkish officers; that would mean perfect discipline and a perfect army. It would be very modern, legitimate and loving, wouldn’t it? A very rational and excellent organization. That will come about if it is persistently kept on the agenda. It will be made up of very modern, contemporary, loving, intellectual and sincere Muslims, people who have assumed the moral virtues of the Quran and the Companions. As in the Age of Felicity, insha’Allah. Allah has placed these infinite means at our disposal, we just have to open our mouths. We must say, “O Lord, give us the Turkish-Islamic Union.” They must talk about it and demand it everywhere. I say that it will happen if they do that. That is all I am saying, insha’Allah.
