For instance one turns on a channel on the television, there is a worthless talk, he takes the remote control. He zaps around, he is not even aware what he is doing.  He lies on his side, his conscious completely closed. He is not even aware of what he is watching, but he watches for hours nevertheless. I mean he does nothing useful. Or there is a tv show for instance, two people continuously talk. One tells something to the other, and the other says something to this one, one goes and tells something to another.  His brain gets numb while trying to listen. What good would that do to that person? Right? But if there are good scenes, beautiful environments, or if there is an educative program, then it is okay.  I mean it would have a benefit on that person. Or he watches a mafia movie. One's head is cut off and they drag him on the floor.  He watches them with great excitement cracking his knuckles. They make one man full of holes, but he watches them with great excitement. What good would such a thing do to a person? I mean what kind of an educative aspect would that have? Right?  Or a friend of his comes, they gossip for 4 hours. I mean they start at 12 o'clock and say "we didn't even realize how time passed".  As if they are doing something very important, from 12 o'clock till the morning.
