From Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on Kanal 35 on April-11, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:It is the same with irreligious people. They also have a prop. For example, they say, “If a man like Darwin or Dawkins does not believe in Allah, then there must be something to it, so I use his brain and rely on him as I become allured.” Under the effect of that spell they say, “[may Allah forbid] I deny Allah.” In other words, it is not that irreligious people know anything we don’t. The irreligious have very primitive evidence available to them. For instance, they say, “Why has my father died? I became irreligious because of that.” In other words, their ideas are very primitive, not wide-ranging at all. But they rely on atheist web sites and atheist philosophers. They think these people must know something special, and they take courage from them. And they have their own individual awkward show offs, of course. They put on airs, and these people seek to be like them. They are also people with a low level of culture and weak personalities. My apologies to Nil or the other ladies, of course, I am not referring to them. But there is a huge admiration and inferiority in the face of those who have newly become acquainted with modernity and culture. These people develop a would-be intellectual character. All their behavior is imitation. They try to imitate them. They try to be like them, in their behavior, language, what they eat and drink, even in where they go. They eat like them. They laugh like them. They literally try to be like them. They say, for example, I am reading so-and-so’s book, and this or that page really affected me. But then you see they all use a common language, and this is very widespread. Such systems and ideas grow enormously in would-be intellectual soil. What they understand is the crushing power of science. You cannot describe it to them through conscience. The crushing and clear proofs of science have a destructive effect. The system of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also make constant use of science. Science and art. Bediüzzaman describes this quite comprehensively. He says he will make good use of science and art. Because, he says, “those who are opposed are ignorance, poverty and dispute.” “We will use the weapons of art, skill and alliance against them” he says. See, science and art are involved in them all. Art is used in the making of a radio, for example, or a television. You cannot make it with science alone, the two go together. They talk about fine arts, don’t they? In the same way, art and science will go hand in hand as weapons used by Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Since they never foresaw this, in other words, since materialism previously relied on science, that foundation will be taken away from under it; and materialism will therefore collapse. Materialism has collapsed, in other words. The system of the Mahdi is an idea that will emerge with the complete support of science. In other words, science has fallen completely into the hands of those to whom it belongs. Paleontology, biology, microbiology and all of them have all been created in such a way as to speak of the existence of Allah. Notice that all of those now serving Islam and the Qur’an are now making use of science.
