ADNAN OKTAR:This is the perfect artistry of and a perfect deterrent from our beloved Allah. Now, they say, “Uncle Naci is a great man.” Those are their words. “He is a real roisterer and knows how to have a good time. Let’s set the table.” And they do that. He drinks his raki, his blood pressure flies up and he drops dead. “What should we do for such a worthy man?” they ask. “We must bury him somewhere nice.” They carry up to the top of a hill and dig down for a couple of meters. It has to be at least 2 meters, or it may be 2.5 meters. And they lay him below the ground. Then while they have a fine old time with drums and tambourines, he lies there perfectly still, in the pitch dark, riddled with worms and bacteria, little worms. Isn’t that right? And the contents of his bowel starts coming out of his mouth. So what has become of Uncle Naci? What happened to all the good times, the way he never wanted to leave this world, the way he regarded the Hereafter and Allah as unimportant, may Allah forbid, the way he regarded the Qur’an as unimportant? He used to tell jokes about religion and fall about laughing at the idea of Paradise. Why aren’t you laughing now, under the ground? What about all those gathering in your yatch with your friends? Yatch stands still there, it sways on streams . But now you can’t even move a finger, in the subterranean blackness. Your yatch is full of lights and there is rejoicing and fun in your house, with the children and everyone there and not a bit of concern. But you are now in the pitch darkness, worms and bacteria your only companions. And he waits and waits and waits, but never moves a muscle. But everyone is moving around in a bustle. That villa of yours you built with such labor is still standing. Even the food you prepared, that Mexican sauce and who knows what else is still in the fridge. But you are under the ground. Everyone is going about his own business. But you thought your friends loved you so much, that your memory would never fade. You used to laugh at Muslims, Islam and the Qur’an. So what happened? Try and move even just an inch and you can’t, can you? And it is really cold. Not an air conditioning system or anything. There is no air conditioning in the grave. And there is no air. It is a place with no air. Just earth mixed with muddy soil entering in your mouth. Therefore, a magnificent deterrent method employed by Allah. People can be deterred only with this. It is the most excellent way of breaking the excesses of earthly desires, and I consider the pure and spotless beyond this, and it is Allah’s most glorious blessing. It is one of the greatest blessings that impart ease into people’s hearts. A woman says, “I am really beautiful” for instance. She wears perfumes and has her hair done in Afro style or whatever, she has her gowns and clothes, doesn’t she? Then she suddenly has a traffic accident, on the way to her university graduation ceremony, when she is really happy. She says things against religion and holy matters, laughs and giggles, drinks her whiskey and goes around enjoying herself with her friends. Then they have a crash and all end up under the dark ground. Her university friends keep on working, but she is immobile in the underground. So what was the good of looking at Allah and the Qur’an in that way? May Allah forbid. She thought the Qur’an was supposed to be wrong? Didn’t you always say, “Angels don’t exist”? But it was an Angel that broke your nose when he came to take your soul. You are underground, but who is it who made the grave a hell for you? Her highlighted hair is all tangled up in the grave now. That lovely skin is all purple and her face is all swollen. That once smooth skin swells like drum. Those lovely eyes have turned into jelly. You used to look down on people through them, and nobody was ever good enough. “I am better than anyone,” you used to say. But that flesh you liked so much is falling apart and swelling up, and a disgusting stench has totally replaced the smell of your perfume. It is the worst conceivable stench, and so intense. There is no air conditioning or anything there, and no way of any oxygen getting in. Allah thus takes His revenge. Allah makes them repent all they said and did a thousand times over. So much for Allah not doing anything! May Allah forbid. Bu He does, doesn’t He? That is why Allah says, “Let them wait for a little while.” There are two verses, let me read one of them “Your possessions,” He says, everything you have, possessions, bulldozers, mixers, goods, things in the shops, “your spouses,” the husband or wife, whoever is there all preened and covered in hair oil. I don’t mean that hair oil is a bad thing, but they turn it into an idol. “Your sons”, in other words your children being educated in Europe or whatever, “your people,” the people around you, your friends on the internet, your friends of Facebook. He says that there is no Facebook or computer underground, only a shroud. Even the shroud ends up in a disgusting state there. I consider the Prophets and holy people beyond this, but it is an unbelievable place there. I could go on at length, of course. But it is Allah’s swift reply to those who ignore Him. That is, possessions, sons, business you fear may slump. I ask people, “Why do you not serve Islam?” “We need money,” they say. “Times are hard, you know. We need money,” they say. “For what?” I guess these people regard themselves as being underweight and needing to put a bit of weight on. But the money that comes in will not satisfy them. They always want more. If 10 million lira come in, it is not enough. Or 100 million comes in, but it is still not enough. There is a Turkish expression that says that people are only satisfied by black earth. This is of course for those who have earthly greed. They are only satisfied when black earth fills their eyes. The grave, that is where they calm down. It is the place where people grow still, in essence a kind of hospital, where radical treatment takes place. They no longer have anything wrong with them; all their bad habits and bad attitudes, all their excesses and aggression disappear in a moment. It is a blessing brought about by Allah. It is a door to Paradise for believers and a door to Hell for the unbelievers. That is why Allah has listed all possessions, one’s children and all the baubles of the life of this world. “But” He says, “if [these things] are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and struggle in His Way, then wait” So what is the important thing? Allah, and to strive on the path of Allah and His Messenger (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), in other words, the system of the Mahdi. Those are the things that matter. But if one says, “I do not regard these as important,” then Allah responds at once. “Wait,” He says. The person is in any case rapidly heading to the placed where he will be treated, where there will be no more problems, where everything will be totally resolved. There is no wriggling about there. I am referring to that kind of person here, and they will have to totally submit themselves. Four or five people drop him on the ground and quickly cover him up with earth. Once night falls, all that can be heard is the sound of crickets and other animals. They shovel the earth over them, sprinkle a bit of water over it and then press it down with a shovel to make it rigid. And that is it. After the person has been installed there, all their friends carry on meeting on Facebook and enjoy themselves at discotheques, but that person cannot go to a disco, nor log onto Facebook, nor dress up or use any perfume. They use the perfume of the grave there, the most disgusting stench in the world. But a believer is immediately borne to the gardens of Paradise when he dies. And happiness for him begins with death. He is confronted by blessings and happiness as his soul is taken away. A believer’s life is also very delightful, he understands it already, all of it is delightful.
