Saying; "You will not greet them, you will insult them, have no dealings with them, give no food to them, you will not employ them, you will beat them where you see them". That is the matter. They emigrated and went all the way to Ethiopia. Consider where Makka or Medina is and where Ethiopia is.  By foot, on camels. The vermin tailed after them and they came till there with the intention to kill them. The King of Ethiopia did not surrender them. If he did, they would kill them, Allah forbid. They would have martyred them; I should not say "kill", may Allah forgive. There were incomprehensible defamations, slanders, beatings and abuse. The young people who joined our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), they joined when they were at 16 or 17 years old by leaving their parents, they beat them up so badly, breaking up their noses and such. But they did not abandon, for the approval of Allah and because of their love for Him.
