ADNAN OKTAR: Now, I have seen that there is a terrifying tendency in this world, one that is quite widespread among our Muslim brothers. Many people are uninterested in the global dominion of Islam and the Qur'an. But they are genuinely interested in being devout. They are keen to live by Islam and to pray. They are interested in fasting and giving alms and going on the hajj, but the global dominion of Islam does not interest them. My view is I think some people are made uneasy by this. They are picturing this in their own minds, and they are aware that such a structure they have in their backward, conservative, bigoted heads will be an unbelievable nightmare for their heads. Since they know that what they are talking about will be a nightmare in which the country will awash with blood, in which all freedoms are eliminated, in which love, joy, art, science, beauty, humanity and life all disappear, they are again looking out for their own interests and do not want this. But what they are talking about and what the Qur'an tells us are different things. The nightmare they are talking about is a different thing, and they are defining their attitude so that a nightmare would not prevail. But they have adopted it as a religion. They have adopted that nightmare as a religion. The majority of them are in any case enemies of the Qur'an. Many of those bigots dislike the Qur'an. They put the Qur'an away somewhere where it gets covered in dust and only dust it off again once every 6 months. They dust the cover of the Qur'an off once every 6 months or every year. But they never touch the Qur'an, do they?

OKTAR BABUNA:It is just as you say.

ADNAN OKTAR:Of course. They never talk about or mention it. But they do say, "Look, there is a verse of Allah, in business law, and it is compatible with the Sunnah, so let us draw up an deposit slip." It suits their own interests. They say that Allah tells us to ensure that those who are unmarried marry. "So let's get married," they say. "We are abiding by Allah's law," they claim. Right? They say, "Allah asks in another verse if people do not travel and look around them." So let's go on a family trip" they say. They pack their station wagons to bursting. The head of the family sits up front and they pack the children into that tiny little space running along the back. And off they go. They spend 3 or 4 months on holiday, happily all together. When we ask what they are up to, they say, "We are obeying Allah's verses. We are obeying the commands of the Qur'an, all together as a family. A heedless person like you could not understand. We are punctilious when it comes to obeying Allah's commands, and that is what we are doing." They take a melon and split it down the middle, belching. And when we ask what they are up to, they say: "I am obeying the Sunnah. But what about you? You are just spreading strife. So what if Darwinism is rife in the country? What are you so bothered about Darwinism? The Prophet (saas) never brought about the global dominion of Islam, so how can you ever do it?" they say. May Allah forbid, they go on: "Have you gone mad? Where did you get this idea of the global dominion of Islam from? There is no need for a Muslim to strive to bring that about. We have the Ministry of Religious Affairs and all the civil servants there. They can talk about that. What is it to you? And one also has to be a scholar, a licensed religious scholar, to talk about religious matters, to discuss a verse or a command of Allah's. And since you are not, then just mind your own business." They say it is not your responsibility, in other words. They say "this is an obligation on certain people, and since the Ministry of Religious Affairs performs that observance, you don't have to preach the word like you do". And they say, "you are spreading strife. What business is it of yours to take on masons and atheists? What business is Darwinism in particular of yours? And, what is more, Darwinism is referred to in verses of the Qur'an. It is in the Qur'an." That is what they say if you force them into a corner. Look, what they first said was, "There is no Darwinism in the Islamic world. Where did you get that from?" But I said their elders espouse Darwinism through the verses of the Qur'an. They say that Allah says that Darwinism exists in the Qur'an. They say that Allah describes it. They say that the Qur'an has already described Darwinism. Now, an unbelievable and satanic trickery has pervaded the world, unbelievable corruption has enfolded the Islamic world. They exhibit an unbelievable punctiliousness when it comes to the female headscarf, and that is great. But they do not display even a 1 in 10,000th or 100,000th part of that eagerness when it comes to the global dominion of Islam. But real virtue is surely that. The religion of Allah is not being implemented, so your virtue is in ruins. Isn't it? All your virtue has been ran over, your virtue is crushed. What you should be doing is rescuing that honor from this mess. What kind of virtue have you if you do not put in 1 in 100.000^th part of the effort you exhibit regarding the female headscarf? Virtue is the Qur'an, it is the whole of the Qur'an. But these people attack the Qur'an as a whole. And it does not even bother them. Look, among the websites, there are many places that insult religion and Islam. We are having these shut down one by one through court rulings.

ADNAN OKTAR:Look, this does not concern a great many people. They bring out books that attack Islam and the Qur'an. But it does not bother many people. We are having these rounded up by court rulings or trying to prevent them.

PRESENTER: That is what being a Muslim only to himself is like, isn't it?

ADNAN OKTAR:Yes, you must not say anything about him or his family. But it does not concern many people when things are said about the Qur'an, Islam, Allah or our Prophet (saas). They do not regard the fact that Islam does not rule the world as defaming their honor. But they only regard the headscarf as a matter of honor. That is all. There is something odd here. All right, the headscarf is a matter of honor, but failure to abide by the Qur'an is a terrible thing. It is something that involves thousands of matters.
