From Mr. Adnan Oktar’s interview on Kocaeli TV on 2 July 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:“A year has now gone by since the acts of violence in the East Turkestan in the last year and martyrdom of hundreds of our Uighur brothers. July 5 sees the first anniversary of this massacre. The Chinese government has again begun massing troops and police on the streets. It would seem the government is again preparing to provoke incidents for no reason. There are even rumors that incidents have already taken place, that there have been killings in the back streets. What advice do you have for our Uighur brothers? How should they act in an environment ruled by communists. May Allah be pleased with you. With my love and respect.” We had better not give your surname out, Serhat. The Chinese communists may hold a grudge against you. But you can give my name.
I wrote to the Chinese ambassador, asking what was going on. I told this the other day. The ambassador sent his assistant and issued an explanation. “Let’s meet up with Mr. Oktar” he said. They want to visit me. Let them come, that is fine, I said. They also expressed their thanks. “Nobody ever asks us, they just behave one sided. We are amazed that you have asked us. We want to give you comprehensive information” they said. They have now invited me to China. Would I ever go there, it is too risky. They say; “all you expenses will be met by us.” As if we have any need of their help. But they meant it as a compliment, of course. Also, they might present us cat meat, etc. to eat. We would never know what we were eating.”
For one thing, China is not safe. I will not go to China. Nor will I send anyone else there. They have to make it safe. See how we would go to Chine? Where do we want to see in China? For one thing, we should see police stations and prisons, all the secret areas in the prisons, and the mental hospitals. Then China can do what it wants. We would not say anything. But unless they show us the prisons and the basements of the police stations, and the basements of the military torture facilities, we will not believe any information China will give us. But if they agree to the challenge, I will give them my blessing and full backing. Look, they must show us the basement floors of the military facilities where torture goes on. Because millions of Chinese and 30 million of our people have just disappeared. They are our people. East Turkestan is also our motherland. They are our blood relative Turkish Muslim brothers. Another 100,000 young Uighur Muslim girls have just newly disappeared. They didn’t just vanish into thin air. Where did they all go? They must tell us these, tell us what happened to the people who disappeared.
Apart from that, the Chinese can organize a festival for us, can put on a show for us and we will eat with them. But we will not find it convincing. I have nothing to gain from the Chinese. I feel affection and pity for them and would like them to be better off. We must also include them in the Turkish-Islamic Union. Let them be happy and live well. I do not say the Chinese race should cease to exist. May Allah give them peace and plenty, but we must all live in peace together. They must open up their police stations to us. Look, I repeat. One of our brothers just sent me a letter from China, from the Uighur region. It came by secret channels. I still find it hard to believe. “People go to the police station” it says, “then a tanker goes out". He says "They are liqudifying people." He says "They are turning people into liquid state in the basement.” He says that “a great many people are liquefied.” They use mincing machines. My brother, this is a terrible horror. They must first resolve this at once. Where have these people disappeared to? That is why the whole of our nation must press on this matter. It is a huge matter. And these young girls cannot speak for themselves. When you go before the Chinese prosecutor he looks at you with empty slant eyes, like a mad man. He does not understand what you say. He does not even listen to you. He is a psycho. They kill you when you go to the police station. You cannot go to the police station with a complaint. You cannot go to the prosecutor or the police. There are no courts, no justice, no nothing. It is a land of nightmare. Literally a nightmare place. No one knows what is going on. You cannot get in and they cannot leave. It is all wierd.
For one thing, they most open East Turkestan to the press. They are to open the region to the foreign press. A Chinese delegation can come, too. The Chinese can appoint someone from the government. We will look at all the police stations, and especially the basements. If they are exonerated, then all is well and good, but they have to tell us what happened to our brothers in that case. They have to tell us where those millions of people are, those young girls. They only recently took them away. They took our young girls off in buses and lorries. We don’t know where they took them. They must put an end to that horror. Their meeting with me here, etc. will change nothing. I got a letter recently saying "let us take a delegation over." Where is that letter, can you give it to me? They wrote in English. “First of all our deepest respects to you as president. We would be honored to invite two people from your foundation and three or four people from an independent civil society organization which desire to develop cooperation with China, to China at the beginning of August in order to develop relations and exchange views with the related civil society organizations of People’s Republic of China.” Thank you, we are honored, too. I really do have no account to settle with China. They just have to bring this into the open, that is all. “With the exception of your international travel, China will meet all living expenses during your time in China and all travel expenses within China for the visit in question.” Then there are some bits in Chinese. “If this is acceptable, please forward your views and a list of names to our embassy as soon as possible. Wishing you every success in your work, with best regards. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China,Ankara. July, 2010.” That is how they sent it.
Fine, but that is all too easy. What problem with China could we have after that? And let them show us our Uighur brothers, those innocent girls from East Turkestan. You should see them, they are really sweet and lovable. And since they are brought up in seclusion they are very well mannered, like little lambs. What did they want from them? They take them away at dead of the night. Asking whose permission? How can they take them away? What kind of law is that? One cannot just say, “Selamun Aleykum, we are taking you away?” And who can we complain to. They must tell us the office we can complain to in China so that we can get results. Isn’t that right? Writting a petition. Well there are no such things as petitions or lawyers. What kind of country is that? Our brothers must closely follow that up. Films have also reached me. An unbelievable scandal. They beat the Uighur Turks to death. They filmed it secretly on their mobiles and sent the images to me. Here, there, wherever, and the Chinese police just stand by and watch. They stand and watch with their hands in their pockets, it is infuriating. They are just watching them. Not one , not two, not ten, there are police everywhere and they beat them to death in front of those police officers and the police just stand and watch. Then they invite us to go over. How? What does that mean? What kind of invitation is that? First they must explain those scenes on the films. I have never seen such ignominy.
Look, it is those who do not establish the Turkish-Islamic Union, Islamic union, who are responsible for this. The responsibility lies completely on their shoulders. They are responsible for every one of our brothers beaten to death and martyred there. This means they are responsible for millions of people.
“There was also a meeting with the General Publishing Manager of daily Vatan. He was amazed by the reports. He said he was not at the paper on the day they were published.” How come that kind of thing always happens to me? I don’t understand. “If you send a disclaimer we will publish it,”he said. Well okay, we thank you. At least it was nice of him to think of it. Haberturk claims that they were not informed, or Hürriyet claims that they were not informed but they publish it as a headline in the first page saying, “Adnan Hodja has had it,” etc. Who are you putting on fire? Not me. I would shed light, insha’Allah. They couldn't have had it all for all those years, they attempt to putting us on fire for 30 years. They cannot touch a hair on my hand, insha’Allah, by Allah’s leave. Look, I say, even if I die, I would ask permission from Almighty Allah and I would still come back and never leave them alone insha'Allah. I mean, even if I am martyred, by Allah’s leave, insha’Allah. Eleven minutes, did I see that right?
The whole nation should concentrate on the question of East Turkestan. It is a horrendous thing. Who would want such a thing? May Allah forbid. People with ugly faces come to the door, Chinese police or soldiers. They say something and carry you off, drag you off. You ask where they are taking you and get no answer, or else a punch in the mouth. And then on there is no discussion. There is nothing you can say to them. Send a petition in and they will just laugh at you in China. Where would you send that petition? They don't even address you. The whole world is just watching this ignominy, the whole world. If a car runs over a dog in Europe everyone makes a huge fuss and weeps and wails. But they are beating millions of people to death, martyring them. They are martyring them, rather than murdering them, but nobody cares at all. Hundreds of films have reached me from China, hundreds regarding the martyring of our brothers. Not just one or two, but hundreds of films. They shoot them on their mobiles or whatever and send them in. My web sites are banned in China. So what is going on? Yet they want to invite me over, even though they ban my web sites. What kind of an attitude is that? I would speak out if I went there. Am I to remain silent?
Let a delegation go from Turkey. They must go and look at Chinese prisons and see what they are doing to our Uighur brothers. People must go from the United Nations. Let us send people from Britain, France and China. Let us bring people from Russia. This nightmare has to end, this disgrace has to end. What would China have to lose if this horror ended? It would be the winner. We would do business and come and go. People are afraid to go there now. Right? Insha'Allah.
