Look, the only target of the polytheists of Makka is our Prophet (saas), Rasulullah(The Messenger of Allah). Now, the polytheists surround him from right and left, front and back like a circle in the war; our Prophet (saas) is in the middle. Do you know what the purpose of the war is? It is solely to kill the Prophet (saas), I mean to martyrize him, I shouldn’t have said ‘to kill’, may Allah forgive. That is because in such a position he wouldn't be killed, but he would die as a martyr. See here, he is completely surrounded and there are axes, swords, spears and arrows on their hands. And that is for a long time, for a very long time, our Prophet (saas) fought by rotating, he gives a struggle. Haydar-ı Kerar is the patronymic of Hazrat Ali (ra) who fights by rotating. This also is the patronymic of Hazrat Mohammed (saas). Not being a martyr there, is enough as the sign of his Prophethood. Even the Companions said, “what happened, did he die?”, they say, “was he martyrized?” They wouldn't say "did he die" of course, may Allah forgive, they asked “did he die a martyr?” He was lost for a long time. This is sufficient by itself, and Atatürk also points this out. Atatürk says "the success in that war, that is enough by itself".
