Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on HarunYahya.TV, March 23rd, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:Prophet Moses (pbuh) is a very excitable and in the truth of the matter, he is a Prophet very open to get scared. His soul is very open to get scared, frightened, and anxious. And this is of recognized worth. Some people don't get affected even if a bomb exploded right next to them. They do not have such an agitation. But some people are very open to fear and excitement. Those are very open to get irritated. Even the smallest thing can irritate them intensely. This is of recognized worth. I mean it is important that such people do not get scared. For example, think about someone who doesn't know what fear is, he doesn't know so no problem. This is like an impotent man not engaging in fornication. It is important that he doesn't do that even when he has the will and power to do it. For example, in Surah Yusuf, Allah says in a verse; "Yusuf would have wanted her.." But he doesn't do that nevertheless. Why does he not? He doesn't do that, because of his Fear of Allah, for the Approval of Allah. But for example, someone with no strength of that sort can't do this; after all it wouldn't be a like a service. Therefore, it is of recognized worth for someone who knows fear, not to get scared. For example, it is of recognized worth for someone who has love for material stuff to give it away, insha'Allah, meaning to distribute it. For example, it is of recognized worth for someone who is open to feel bashful and distress, to get under difficult jobs. For example, does Prophet Moses (pbuh) runs away or hide, I mean, we understand it explicitly from the verse. He says he is feeling tightness in his chest and he is becoming tongue-tied. I mean he is a Prophet very open to become agitated and he is fighting that, this is of recognized worth. If he normally acquires one merit, in this case he acquires one thousand; this has a very high recognized worth insha'Allah. Look, "Take it and don't be afraid.." Allah says. That means he is afraid, Allah says "don't be afraid". He listens to Allah because of his Fear of Allah and holds the snake directly from its tail. This is normally the last thing he would do, because he is very scared of the snake. Allah says "hold it", and it turns into a rod, as soon as he holds it. Allah also shows His power of instant creation here.
