Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on Kahramanmaras Aksu TV dated April 17th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: For instance Hazrat Solomon (pbuh) didn't run after this world. Rather the world followed him. It is the same for our Prophet(saas), I mean he didn't run after this world. But the world followed him as well. Allah says : " Did He not find you impoverished and enrich you?" Our Prophet(saas) has had a very good life. He lived a very wealthy life.
Besides, no one should believe in those lies stating our Prophet(saas) used to tie stones over his stomach and was craving in hunger. I mean, that is a very grave unscrupulousness and cruelty. That is an insult for all the companions. Which one of the companions would ever let our Prophet (saas), that outstanding beauty, crave in pain with hunger like that? All of the companions were wealthy. Is this even possible? If you were living in the times of our Prophet(saas), would you be able to go home and dine lavishly if he was craving in hunger, tying stones over his stomach? Right? Who would do that? Are the Companions, this much egoistic and selfish? What kind of talking is that? They do not realize what they are saying. And they claim; "he was craving, he was like this most of the time". I mean they say "he was tying stones over his stomach and craving in pain". Muslims are in this condition today because of this mindset and everywhere in the world when you talk about a Muslim, various images are formed in people's minds. In fact, a Muslim is the person with highest quality, he is the most intelligent, most loving, most excellent person on the face of this world. A Muslim is the person whose mind works best. They have infiltrated such an idolatry and pagan mindset to Islam. Along with inconceivable insanity, unreasonable explanations they have formed a completely different religion. I mean there are distinctly different comments, completely diverse opinions. The accurate and most wise way of thinking is to completely abide by the Qur'an and the Sunnah. People would then be saved from perversion insha'Allah and we should absolutely trust the Qur'an. However we should know that the best commentary of the Qur'an is the one done by our Prophet(saas) insha'Allah. I mean to say "I am the one who can do the best commentary" is not acceptable. It is our Prophet (saas) who commentates the best. This should be known very well insha'Allah.
