ADNAN OKTAR:People of high quality shine out in times of difficulty, during good days everyone puts themselves on the spot. For instance you go to a restaurant, the waiters serve you perfectly if you are rich and so, right? But if that person does not pay the bill there, I mean I consider people who doesn't act like that free of this, but I am telling this because there are examples experienced and also because it is a little bit funny in a sense, they take that person and make him do the dishes. There are caricatures and so depicting people who don't pay their bills washing the dishes. And similar other things also happen. Good morals shine out in times of difficulty. It is never possible to understand one's good morals in a compassionate environment, in an environment in which people's interests are not conflicted. A person's character cannot be understood unless he faces difficulty. For instance the hypocrites are always recognized when they face difficulties. We see that in the Qur'an. In times of an attack, in times of pressure the hypocrites come into the open. Otherwise they won't appear. For instance when they are with our Prophet(saas) they act very devout, they stand hand and foot beside him. They perform their prayers, their turbans and in outlook everything is complete but when a struggle is needed, when a firm resolve is required they say "'Our houses are exposed,". They say "my brother, my children, my siblings are waiting form e at home. Okay, we will be saving the Muslims there but I have my siblings and children here, who will save them." However Muslim family is more important than a his own family. That is hundred thousands, millions are more important. He is after his own little family, whereas protecting one's family is anyway a form of lust, meaning it is something given to the lower self. This is a point depicted in the Qur'an. It is stated that the posessions, sons, heaped-up loads of gold, horses with fine markings are made alluring to the lowerself. Therefore, this is the point in which people get destabilized. In a Qur'anic verse, I seek refuge in Allah from the satan, Allah says: "If your fathers or your sons or your brothers or your wives or your tribe, or any wealth you have acquired, or any business you fear may slump, or any house which pleases you, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and stiving in His Way, then wait until Allah brings about His command." That means we are to abandone those and serve in the path of Allah. But those ones giving the priority to these consider themselves to be the strugglers in the path of Allah, consider themselves serving Islam. That is not how serving Islam should be. Qur'an explains this clearly. One might argue that this is the way he thinks, but that is not how Qur'an depicts it. If one argues that he has his own way of understanding the Qur'an, then it will be explained to him in the Hereafter. He will then understand what it actually is. Moreover they will claim this in the Hereafter. In the Qur'an this is explained with this verse: "Then they will have no recourse except to say, 'By Allah, our Lord, We were not mushrikun(those who commit shirk or commit against Islam)." The gravest mistake of Muslims is that they do not take on such acts on them. Meaning, they claim that they are not like this. For instance, he is a hypocrite but claims that he is not. Or he is a mushrikun but claim that he is not. Whereas every Muslim should take shelter in Allah from being a hypocrite or a mushrikun and would search that in himself, asking himself: "does this apply to me", looking at the Qur'an, and he is to endeavour and strive for that until he is confidant that it doesn't. If one claims that it doesn't concern him, then the life of a man is anyway very short. They will get their responses instantly, I mean at the moment of their death they will get their responses. At their last breath, that is because their lives will be taken with very fierce blows. He would instantly understand what is going to happen to him. People fail to believe that Allah is the Exactor of Revenge. Every man dies, cannot one understand this from that alone. He definitely dies. Don't they see how Allah takes revenge, don't they see the things He creates in this world. Death alone is enough to see. The fact that death exits is enough, there is no need for any other reason. That is exquisitely clear. A Muslim is to get prepared to the life in the Hereafter with the most reasonable, most candid manner. If he claims that it doesn't concern him, Allah says that he will not corcern Him either. Allah says : "Just as Our Signs came to you and you forgot them, in the same way you too are forgotten today." If they still want to test this, they will anyway. One says: "let me see". But that wouldn't be the way they thought it would be, let me state that it would be the most horrible testing of the world. It is one that he can never rectify until the eternity. I mean this is the most dangerous, the worst testing of all, to test Allah (Allah is beyond this). There would be no recovery from that, he would test this for once but would remorse for that for the eternity.
