ADNAN OKTAR:As a matter of fact, Fethullah Gulen Hodja is in one sense, like a prisoner at the moment. He is in a very difficult position. He is in America, under the control of the American administration, the FBI, the CIA, so his position is not very comfortable. Now, when he says, "The Prophet Jesus(pbuh) will return," there will be a huge outcry. Even more so if he says it is imminent. He may also attract reactions from Christians. They will then demand to know how and where. They will give him no peace. That is why he glosses over the matter of the Mahdi (pbuh), as I see from his talks. He glosses over it by saying something in between an individual and a collective personality. He glosses over this point as well. But he talks about the other issues in great details. Consequently, one should not ask a difficult question to someone in a difficult position. But I am not in a difficult position. They can come and ask me. Allah willing, I am not afraid of anyone. And I am not under the control of the FBI, CIA or the like. There is this saying; "let the best of them come on me." Just like that, the best of them can come on me as well, I will still sit here and say.

I am not saying that Fethullah Hodja is in this position because he is afraid. He is doing so to prevent corruption emerging. Or else he is a very clever and rational person, and he is full of love. His movement at the moment is in any case the movement of the system of the Mahdi. It is a movement preparing the way for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Why do his followers travel as far as Africa? So that Islam would rule the world. So that the Turkish-Islamic Union can rule. Why should his followers go and work in Venezuela or the furthest parts of Africa and of Asia for just $200 or $150? They clearly want Islam to rule the world and to see the Turkish-Islamic Union. Why else would they teach Turkish everywhere? They teach Turkish. That means Turkish will be a global language. Everyone will know the language of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Mahdi(pbuh) will not the language of everyone but rather everyone will learn the language of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). The world is in a position to learn Turkish in order to understand and speak to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). It will be Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh) mother tongue. Because our Prophet (saas) says that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will not know much Arabic. There is a hadith that says he will not know much. And it is explicitly stated that he will emerge from among the Turks.

For instance, let us assume that some of my colleagues, may form a very good opinion of me or they say as we mention the hadith that we hint that I may be the Mahdi (pbuh). But I say, "I swear I make no such claim." Look how calm everything is, and no problem will ever arise. But if anyone still insists in holding that view, then may Allah be pleased. I may think that he may be Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Insha’Allah, he would be the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Whoever does it is unimportant, so long as we have the Turkish-Islamic Union. As long as there is a climate of justice, and peace, so long as women and children can live in peace, as long as noone is oppressed, and so long as there is social justice, full democracy and freedom of ideas,  these are all that matter. What difference does it make? Let it be Ahmet, Mehmet, Hüseyin or anyone. All can be acceptable. The important thing is the formation of a reasonable and humane environment. And what need is there for personal status in this brief world? How long would our lives be anyway? Right? Our lives are over in a matter of a few decades.
