ADNAN OKTAR: And defending democracy and freedom is very important. Constant freedom. The freer our people are, the better. The more we turn towards democracy, the better. Because when there is no democracy and no freedom, people's brains become inactive, I mean they become paralyzed. For example, if we begin to talk in an official manner here, if we don't speak in a relaxed and sincere way, we would become strained. I mean we can't talk. Those who are watching would get bored and we would get bored and frustrated as well. What comforts us? Freedom comforts us, we are free. For instance, we can halt the program whenever we want, if we feel like it. We can go whenever we want and come whenever we want. If we'd like to, we can eat some desserts here and mind our own business. We talk whatever we want. Freedom gives us a rhetoric beauty, I mean it gives us open mindedness. It would increase our compiling power. For example, a painter can't paint if you put pressure on him, he becomes paralyzed. For example if an author is writing a book, and if the man is depressed he can’t write, but if he feels free, he can. For example, if a person is filled with love, and then he can paint, write and speak in a very good manner. But if he loses love and compassion then his brain goes literally numb. Pressure cancels the brain. Democracy is for that reason a cure for that. Freedoms are like cures. A person who is not free, turns into a completely different being. For example, there was no freedom in Russia. There are pictures of people in the time of Stalin, they are like robots. For example, in China, they turned people into robots; their humanly appearance is diminished, those men are off. For example, there are no painters originating from China, or architects, or artists. They are paralyzed, there are none. There are none in Russia; they can't do it. Pressure turns people into this state. Therefore, it's very important that pressure on people is lifted. So whichever government, whoever takes a step towards democracy should definitely be supported. Freedom is a cure, a medicine for the human soul, insha'Allah.
