Excerpt from Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at Adıyaman Asu TV on May 27th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: Now look, there is a command in the Torah. Almighty Allah says, "If you search for Me, you will find Me." He says, "If you search for Me, you will find Me." Those who look for their Love would find Him and hold on to Him tightly. A Muslim will not wait for Allah to come to him; he, himself will go to Allah. He will look for Allah himself. He will hold on to reason. Right? He will hold on to reason in order to be close to Allah. What are we going to do? We'll be sincere. What are we going to do to be sincere? We should check ourselves every 10 minutes, at least. Sincerity can go out of a man's head within like 10 or 15 minutes. He may get into a mood, he might get into a mood of egocentricity and may think "I'm doing this and making that." He may forget death. We are sitting on a dried magma as thin as the peel of an apple. Do you know what the Earth is? The Earth is made up of dried fire, as boiling magma drying up and is as thin as the peel of an apple. People dance at the club on magma. Right? At the so-and-so club. They swim at the beach, but there is magma below. From time to time that magma comes out of the sea, like saying "what are you doing? How are you?" Like saying "I'm here." Right? Volcanoes from all over the world boil up from everywhere and they say "we are here." Almighty Allah says; "Below this, there is fire, you be informed," insha'Allah. Spiritually that is. People forget this; they forget that they will die. Look yesterday we showed those who had died. And I was surprised at some of them. I didn't know that they were dead. They have all died. They are all gone. Everybody dies. This world is temporary. For example, they show the fashion festivals of 1960s, 50s, 40s. And there are also movies shot during the Second World War with people moving really fast. There are women with those famous hats with veils. They go from here to there. The women of that time are very relaxed. I look at them; they wave at the camera happily and laugh. Allah knows the truth, but probably none of them had in their mind that they will die. None of those people in these movies are around now. Not even one. They are all dead. All of them died. They are gone. It did not even cross their minds at the time. Now for example, young people, they race cars and they chat on the internet. They say "there is time." When they die, they say, "we probably stayed one hour of the day." They say, "we stayed for one hour at most." Life passes very quickly. It suddenly ends. Ask those who are forty years old, to your moms and dads. You ask, "How did it pass?" They answer, "It's like yesterday." You were 18 years old when you came. It is just like yesterday. He used to wear collarless shirts when he first came. He used to sit dows in a respectful manner at the house in Ortaköy with other friends. How many years have passed?
ALTUĞ BERKER:25 years.
ADNAN OKTAR:25 years. How fast?
ALTUĞ BERKER:Really like one day or two days.
ADNAN OKTAR:Right? How old are you?
ALTUĞ BERKER:43.
ADNAN OKTAR:That's it. Life passes like like lightning, insha'Allah. "I'm young and beautiful." There is no such thing. For instance, they show young and beautiful ladies sometimes. They say "she gained weight" or "her face is all wrinkled and she looks awful" and they rejoice. Some newspapers publish the pictures of some ladies joyfully. They say "she is deformed and cracked up" in order to overwhelm them and make them feel small. Why should they feel small or be ashamed? That person will die in a short while anyway. Right? That's how this world is. Allah says, "When We grant long life to people, We return them to their primal state." Their stature will shorten, for example a 1,80 man will become 1,50 or even 1,40. He becomes small and tiny, and sits on the side like a pillow. Even his voice goes. After a while, he begins to act like a child, he loses his wits, his brain gets effected.
