ADNAN OKTAR: That 7000 years does of course not mean the creation, the beginning of the universe. It is a calendar start, probably a calendar that defines the period before that of the Prophet Noah (pbuh). It could be a calendar started by a prophet who came in that period or even a guide. That is because there is the Gregorian calendar. We ask, "Where did it begin from?" They say, "We initiated it right from the birth of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)." We say, "Alright it can be." What is the Hijri calendar? It starts from the hegira (immigration) of our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace).. That means people can determine calendars as they please. But because this is the oldest calendar known and used, I mean because this is the calendar in effect it is a calendar that begins from 7000 years back. It started with an incident, I mean it started somehow. Therefore, our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) also says, "Until my time, 5600 years have passed since the beginning of this calendar." Until his time. So what is left? 1400 years are left. What date are we at? We are at 1430. Then everything has to end between 1400 and 1500.
After 1500 the Day of Judgment is expected and the Day of Judgment is only a matter of time. 1545 is just the right number, even if it is 46; it has already past the first half. 45 is right in the middle. It is 45. Allah knows the truth. Hijri 1545 is the year of the Day of Judgment. Then there is the Judgment Day, the day on which people will rise. This is what the Day of Judgment means. The collapsing of the universe and the rising up of the people.. When people rise, they say, "Who woke us up from the place that we sleep?" They think that they were sleeping, that they were woken up. But it is not so. But they understand afterwards that they are in the Hereafter. Their first words are like this: "They will say, 'Alas for us!' There is an expression like that, people say "Alas!" when there is disaster like a fire. Insha'Allah, of course. But look, the unbelievers say this. Muslims do not say "Alas" neither this world nor in the Hereafter. Those who say it in this world say it out of their ignorance.
