ADNAN OKTAR: I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. Almighty Allah reveals in the Surah Luqman, "If all the trees on earth were pens and all the sea, with seven more seas besides." Look, it is meaningful that it is revealed in the Qur'an that there are 7 seas. "Was ink, Allah's words still would not run dry. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise." Here Allah says this in order to broaden our scope of thought. This is because people always think of Allah in a certain extent, as a Being Who is only in the world, or in a certain part of the space. However, when it is said that Allah is infinitely big, the concept of being "infinitely big" should be thought about. For instance, let's think about the number of atoms in whole space; there are that many universes more, meaning there are that many universes; there are that many multiplied by that number of universes more. There are that number multiplied by itself over and over and over again universes more. I mean there is no end to it. Allah is a very very very big power. He is infinitely big. Therefore, Allah gives such examples sometimes to broaden our scope. For instance, we think that all trees are pens; and there are so many trees in the world now and they will all become pens this big and the seven seas, the Atlas ocean and all are ink. The pens are dipped in the ink and the blessings in the world are written down but it doesn't end.
The sea ends but the words of Allah don't end. This is also to understand the Mightiness of Allah. The Mightiness of Allah should be thought about always. Especially the concept of "infinity" should be thought about. What does infinitely big mean? How would the Might of Allah be? People should be thinking about this. Then they can come to be able to appreciate Allah as is due. If they don't think like this, it is impossible for them to understand this. They think in a narrow way anyhow. What Allah wants from us is for instance we say "Allah-u Akbar", we say "Allah is Almighty", Allah wants this Mightiness to be realized properly. People want to define certain limits no matter what, but it's not like that insha'Allah. I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. Again in Surah Luqman, 31. "Do you not see that ships sail on the sea by Allah's blessing so that He can show you something of His Signs?" Allah says that He makes the ship sail. Because we see the flow of the sea in our brains. If Allah doesn't show us in our brains, we can't see something like that. "There are certainly Signs in that for everyone who is steadfast and thankful."
