Excerpt from Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at Guneydogu Olay TV on June 15th, 2010
PRESENTER 1: "Master, there is a repetition in these verses. You previously said in the explanations about the Day of Judgment, "There is a miracle in these repetitions. Allah knows the truth." What do you think they mean? I thought about it but couldn't find. I also am a Harun Yahya in my own standards. Your brother who loves you more than himself, Ilyas." Surat Al-Qiyama: "And then went off to his family, swaggering. Woe to you and woe! Then Woe to you and woe!"
ADNAN OKTAR: He asks me what this means? When I hear it, that emphasis on woe.. For instance, when a person is enraged about something, he gets more relaxed when he emphasizes it for a couple of times. For instance, I get more comfortable if I emphasize the impertinence of someone who did something I don't like, several times. Those who hear it also relaxes and Allah repeats that in order for that to be a healing for the hearts of believers. He says, "Woe to you and woe! Then woe to you and woe!"For instance, it is a separate thing to say "woe" for once, but think about the effect when it is repeated twice. Also think about the effect when it is said only once. There is a huge difference in between. Of course, it becomes a fervor in the soul and an instrument in satisfying that feeling of dislike. For instance, also about the subject matter of Hell, Allah reveals the punishment they will be given using a very strong exposition in the Qur'an. This is in order to bring comfort to the hearts. Allah explains the blessings in the Heaven very strongly as well. Yet Allah could have only said, "There are things you'll like very much in the Heaven." But He explains it in a very thorough way. For instance, Allah uses words like "Indeed!" or "Clear Sign", or He says "This is a very clear statement." Such emphasis.. these are the emphasis that our souls need. For instance, also when emphasizing love, we don't get comfortable with a weak expression of love. Right? A strong expression of love, a convincing expression of love makes us comfortable. Since Allah knows our creation, He uses expressions suitable to our creation. When praising the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) or our Prophet (saas), Allah praises them in a very perfect manner.
For instance, Allah could have said, "They were nice people," and leave it at that. But Allah didn't say so. He emphasizes most perfectly. This is the difference of the Qur'an. This is the difference in respect to the Torah and the Gospel. It makes very good emphasis, gives very good details, there is clarity in it; there is no blurriness, no disorder but there is fluency and rational exposition. No subject is left cloudy. For instance, in the Torah, you search for the Hereafter, meaning Heaven and Hell. You have to put some effort to find them. But it is not so in the Qur'an. You immediately find Hell and Heaven. You immediately find the details of Heaven. This is a very big blessing. That is why one cannot be a true Jew without being Mohammedan. That is why one cannot be a true Christian, without being Mohammedan. In order to live the true religion, one has to be a Mohammedan..
