Excerpt from Mr.Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at Kocaeli TV on July 2nd, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: Comparison is very important. For instance, we decorated this as straight and then we gave some blue light. We liked it. But we liked it through comparison. For instance, we changed the cloth. We brought a blue one. We saw that it was better looking than the previous one and we liked it. For instance, it is hot and when coolness is given, we immediately enjoy that difference. It becomes a blessing for us. For instance, we enjoy a cold drink in a hot environment. But if we got a cold drink directly or if there were a direct coolness, we would say "what's this now?" Therefore, we need the things that are the opposite of one another. And these are things that we will never forget. For instance, we need to get tired. We will never get tired in Paradise. We will be surprised every time we don't get tired. The man runs in Paradise, runs and runs but never gets tired. He eats but he is not full. He doesn't feel sleepy. Whereas here, in this world, sleep is a very big problem. One must sleep for at least eight hours. What does eight hours mean? It's almost half the day. Because it takes the most vital part of the day. For instance, night is a very nice time of the day but it takes the whole night. Or daytime is very nice, but it takes the day completely. Eight hours is a big amount of time. If we say the time we spare for bathing and eating takes three, four hours then there is nothing left. Right? But in the Hereafter, this doesn't exist. You don't feel sleepy. There is a big amount of time saved. There is no end to the time. Here time has an end. Weeks and months go by very quickly and life ends instantly. There life doesn't end, weeks don't end and the day doesn't end. Not ending appeals to people. For example, a meal being finished doesn't appeal to people. For example, there is a nice doner kebab. Right? When the doner is brought, people get immediately concerned that it will end soon right from the start. Right? Because it does. But it is not so in the Hereafter. You eat the doner and it doesn't end. It never ends. You have it as much as you like. Also in our dreams for instance we have doner, we sense the salt, taste and smell of it fully and we get the taste. Right? We also eat the pita, tomatoes and the peppers and all. It doesn't even cross our minds that it is just an image...
