Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at TV Kayseri, Samsun Aks TV on June 30th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: "As-Salamun alaykum. If this Ayse Arman is the Ayse Arman everyone knows then I'm confused because how can we say religious for a woman whose naked pictures are everywhere? Should all girls take her as example?" Now brother, nudity is a separate thing. Her being naked doesn't indicate that she is not religious. Being turbanned doesn't indicate that someone is religious also. This is not a certain measurement. Everyone who says "La ilahe illa Allah Muhammeden Resulullah" is a Muslim. Now insha'Allah this sister of ours said this. Then -Allah forbid- let us say that she died and placed on the coffin rest. Would we perform funeral prayer for her or not? We would. Then that is all. Then how is she not a Muslim? Right? Give up such impertinence. When someone says "La ilahe illa Allah Mohammadan Resulullah" she is a Muslim. Her head being covered or not doesn't change this fact. Right? When she is in the coffin rest, even if she has only one proof to state that she believes in the religion, if she believes in Islam then the measure is there. "La ilahe illa Allah Mohammadan Resulullah". Even if she had once said "Insha'Allah", we would assume that she is a Muslim insha'Allah..
When we say religious of course we don't mean in the sense that one performs prayers five times a day and makes pilgrimage and she is all devout.. With religious I mean, a Muslim. I mean it in the sense of being Muslim. Every person who accepts Islam as his religion is religious. What does religious mean? He or she who lives the religion, right? He or she, who accepts the religion, loves the religion and says he or she is a Muslim. For example, there are sinner religious people and there are devout religious people. For example there are Muslims who are not on Allah's path, right? There are also devout Muslims. There are Muslims with faults. But every person has some faults even if it is few insha'Allah. So by "religious" I mean Muslim.
If she says "insha'Allah" and praises the use of insha'Allah then what else could this mean? Of course we will call her a Muslim. What else are we going to say?
