Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's live interview on Harunyahya.tv dated September 9th, 2010
Adnan Oktar:The convenience of having a sickness in the heart is this: giving up hypocrisy is possible as revealed in the Qur'an. There are people who give up. However, for a person who has sickness in his heart; a Muslim prays to Allah to remove the sickness in his heart anyway. Muslims have such a prayer. Right?
Oktar Babuna:Yes Master.
Adnan Oktar: "Oh our Lord, remove this sickness on us," they say. Therefore, for a Muslim to have a sickness in the heart, I mean to be in such a position is something that can happen. Muslim can easily find a cure for that situation. He or she can get out of that situation when he or she prays and takes the necessary precautions. Insha'Allah. Especially for people who have sickness in their hearts, when they hold on to the Qur'an tightly, -the Qur'an is a cure anyway, Allah says in the verse; We are telling you things that will be healing for what is in the breasts- their sickness is cured. Therefore, there is no such thing as defining a special group of people "having sickness in their hearts" and believing that sickness always remains. What does "sick" mean? You say that to a person who is "open to cure."
If he is dead; then you call him "dead." Hypocrite is dead. Allah sometimes resurrects the hypocrite as a miracle; otherwise hypocrite is dead. Allah says, "If you ask forgiveness for them for seventy times, Allah never forgives them." Hypocrite is a disaster. And Allah says that they will not give up until their hearts break into pieces. So He says that you cannot stop them until they are dead. They continue their insanity, their unruliness even in Hell. There is no recovery for the hypocrite. But when it is said that someone has a sickness in his heart -as the name states- that means that person is open for treatment. He will only take the medicine and cure himself. So there is no need for one who feels that he has a sickness his heart, to be restless. It is enough for him to hold on to the Qur'an tightly and abide by his conscience.
The Qur'an will immediately heal him. He will get rid of the disease immediately. It does not take long. There are people who cannot cure themselves. There are those types, who catch cold and go right into the cold. They do not eat anything and incite the disease even more. He cannot lose the disease in any way. It is the same case with the person who has a sickness in his heart. If he continues to stay in places and environments that will increase the sickness rather than to work for a cure, the sickness continues. This is the reason. Or else if he gives the medicine and takes the necessary precautions then the sickness would immediately be removed from him. I am saying this for those who have a sickness in their hearts insha'Allah.
