Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at Gaziantep Olay TV and Cay TV on July 27th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR: Our nation is a great nation. I mean, it is a nation that can live love very well. We, as a nation, can write the book of love, of courtesy and of politeness by the leave of Allah. We have good morality because we completely abide by the Qur'an. However, people are a bit fixated on the idea of "Turk", I am a little surprised at this. Brother look, I am saying "I have Circassian, Turkmen, Arab blood. I am a sayyid, but I am a Turk." I mean all of the Kurds, Laz, Circassian, Bosnians, and Abkhazians living in Turkey are called "Turk" and they are all Muslims. Did we say anything about race or genetic coding, so that you use such an allergic manner for no reason? People who live in Germany are called the German nation, are they not? There are all sorts of people there. But when you ask the guy he says, "I am German." In America, there are people from all the seventy two nations of the world. When you ask him "Where are you from?" he says "I am American." What is there to bother you in that? I do not understand this impertinence. Turk equals Muslim. There is no point in turning this into something different. Allah named this people who live in Anatolia as "Turk." We are "Turks" in our destiny and there is nothing here to be troubled about. It is a nation with good morality and I love them for their morals. Allah makes them leader because of their morals.
