(Excerpt from Adnan Oktar's live interview at Samsun Aks and TV Kayseri dated 1st September 2010)
ADNAN OKTAR:… Religion is love, compassion, mercy, reason, trust and peace. In other words, religion is the totality of all positive feelings in our brain. This is what the Qur'an tells us. For instance, what kills love; egoism does. When we look at the Qur'an, we see that Allah has established a system where egoism is demolished when it is seen. What kills love; unforgiveness. The Qur'an eliminates this right away by means of the verses. What kills; for instance ignorance. The Almighty Allah has put an end to it in the Qur'an. The Almighty Allah has decreed precautions to remove it. Once we observe the Qur'an perfectly, there is total clarity for love. But this is only opened with hundred percent unambiguity and we are able to experience love clear as a day. Only then we may experience love affluently. Yet, if there are all kinds of mist, obstacles and glasses before it, then people get suffocated due to lack of love. One says, "Why can't I love or why am I not loved?" Brother, you have put yourself in steel armour, inside tar and sulphur. How will you approach love from behind all that evil? You first need to remove all that evil. The Qur'an clears away all these by Allah's leave, insha'Allah…
