REPORTER 2: "I have a question regarding the spell and magic. A relative of
ours was casted a spell; it looked like a package and inside Ayat Al-Kursi was
written upside down. Can a Muslim perform prayer together with someone
dealing with spells and had our Prophet ever been casted a spell upon? Is a
person casting a spell expelled from religion? Will we be committing a sin if we
do not talk to this person and greet him with salam in case we know who this
person is? May Allah bless you."
 

ADNAN OKTAR: Alaykum as-Salam ve Rahmetullahi ve Berekatuhu. What I 
do not understand is that many spells are casted upon me but I get healthier and
stronger day by day. I cannot figure out but I guess it has a reverse affect upon
me, and Allah makes it an instrument. Spell brings health and wellness to the
true believer, when a true believer is casted a spell upon, he gets better and
healthier. Spell is casted upon the one who casts the spell himself. There is a
verse of Allah to that effect; whoever are the ones who plot get plotted in their
own plot. The plot surrounds them whereas it has no influence upon the true
believer. Since casting a spell is also a kind of plot, it makes the true believer
better and healthier. Therefore, there is no need to blench from spell. We only
fear Allah and we fear no one but Allah. Allah is the only Owner of Might; the
one who casts a spell is indeed dealing with a vain deed, and he would be
committing a sin. If he wrote the Ayat Al Kursi upside down; then we write it in
the correct manner insha'Allah and read it insha'Allah. To blench about such
things is not appropriate for a Muslim. Muslims shouldn’t over estimate these
people. If there is person casting a spell, you communicate the word to that
person and tell him to fear Allah by means of the verses in the Quran and the
hadiths. We can communicate him and tell him very beautiful subjects by using
the works written by the scholars, the great saints and Ahl-al Sunnah masters.
Yet, of course, if he is not educated about religion well enough to communicate;
and if he feels disturbed; then he could avoid the person who casts a spell. But
they need to be saved as well; I mean they are pitiable. May Allah forbid, they
might end in Hell.
 
REPORTER 2: He also asks whether it is possible to perform a prayer along
with him.
 
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, not; is he going to say "I prayed with a wizard"?
But if he corrects this behavior and repents his sin; why not? Then, he becomes
our Muslim brother and he would have done this wrong deed in the past because
of his ignorance. They have been spending millions of liras upon this issue; this
is the last straw of their reasoning. They invest their money on healers for the
sake of hurting me with spells. Spells that you cannot imagine. But instead, I
become more vigorous, stronger and better. I don’t even care. They have been
plotting, organizing assassinations. Not even a slightest thing will happen; Allah
will protect insha'Allah, we are under Allah’s protection, under His blessing.
Nothing happens without Allah’s will. Allah says "not a leaf does fall but with
His Knowledge". For instance, your coming here was written in your destiny,
the fact that I meet your parents was in your destiny. You came here from a long
distance, from Ankara masha'Allah. May Allah be pleased with you. Your trip
was also in your destiny. This current speech was also destined. You were
supposed to ask it, that was in your destiny insha'Allah. You were predestined to
ask this question long before you were born. Allah made you ask this question,
long before then. Allah is the One Who makes you direct the question. Allah is
the One Who is manifested on you. Allah is the One Who answers the question
and Allah is the One Who is manifested on me. All Might is in Allah, His
servants are creatures who submit to Allah, who are the manifestations of Allah.
We have Allah’s soul in ourselves. Our body belongs to Allah, our soul belongs
to Allah. We do what Allah tells us to do. We did and completed all of this in a
single moment out of an infinitely short time.
