ADNAN OKTAR:"I beg your pardon, I'd like to ask something. Our respected Master Mr. Adnan says "Israeli people are very immaculate people and they are our brothers." How could he call this to a community that is accursed in the Qur'an? People around me ask this question because they know that I love Mr Adnan Oktar very much and I cannot find an answer. Now we went to the Jews. There are Jewish young people. "As-Salamun alaykom." "Alaykom as-salam." But, in this mentality we should not even be greeting them anyway. We are to say "You are an accursed community. You are accursed people." We are to say "In the verse it is told not to make friends of them and I am not friends with you. We are not making any account of you." I am to say "I will not contact you nor will I talk to you. But I want to preach Islam and spread the religion". How is this? Do you not want those people to become Muslims? You want them to have faith but if you say that they are cursed how could they become? You already cut it away and it is obvious that you misunderstand the Qur'an. How could he be saved if he is accursed? My brother, if a man is accursed, if Allah accursed a person; why preach the religion to him? The man is over anyway; he is already dead; he is destroyed. It means that he will go to Hell, does he not?

How could a person not know that this is misunderstood? It is a certain part of them, which Allah accursed. Those are certain people who committed certain crimes..  Otherwise, Allah mentions them as the People of the Book in the Qur'an, why would He accurse them? Right?

OKTAR BABUNA:Yes insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR:Certain people in certain places at a certain time are meant. Allah says "Every child is born with a Muslim nature." A 5 year-old of a Jewish mother and father; are we to refer the child as "Oh you accursed creature"?

Where did you get that idea from? How are you going to preach the religion to him then? You know it wrong.

We are not going to make Jews and Christians administrators to us. This is what is meant by the verse. For example I have the means. There are Jews, Christians and Muslims. We are going to have an election. Of course as a community I would like to have a Muslim administrator. Because a Jew could not do it anyhow as he would feel suffocated. It would contradict with his beliefs. He cannot be an administrator; how could a Jew lead Muslims? Right? He will apply his own beliefs and all his beliefs will contradict with those of Muslims. He cannot continue anyhow; so this is against disposition. For that reason, Almighty Allah says "Do not take any of them as guardians, as patrons," or else it doesn't mean do not make friends.

So why do you go and get married with them? If you believe in this why do you marry the People of the Book? Can one marry a Christian woman? He can. One can also marry a Jewish woman. You know that marrying the People of the Book is lawful. Right? The woman comes and the man will say "Oh you accursed" when he marries her, on their first night for instance.  He will say to the woman "Oh you accursed woman, I am not taking you as a friend." Now how could this be possible? What does getting married mean? He becomes friends with her, brother and sister with her. She becomes his wife and the mother of his children. What is more to tell? How does a man treat the mother of his children? How does he treat his wife? He is responsible to treat her in the same way he normally treats his wife. Right? This is because of the state of mind that holds grudge. They insistently interpret the Qur'an in that way just because they are full of grudge. Some do it out of ignorance of course. This is unacceptable. Of course they are immaculate people and so we call them that. Allah says "the mushrikun (idolaters) are unclean." If he is a polytheist then he is unclean spiritually. Or the man can have a shower and clean up. It is a technical thing. Here a spiritual uncleanness is meant in the Qur'an. Therefore we would not make them administrators. And they cannot be administrators. Of course we are going to assign Muslims as administrators

But it is not in that sense; when it is said "accursed" not all of them are meant. Only those who do immoral acts, who are atheists, who oppress people, who do bad things are meant in the Qur'an. Those are differentiated. They can open and look in the Qur'an, let them read from there. Right? One cannot judge with one verse. Other verses explain that verse in detail. There are hundreds of verses about Jews. Why do you decide with one verse? What about the other verses? He says, "They won't do." This is not so. You will evaluate them as a whole. In the Qur'an verses explain the verses. Verse expounds verses. You will expound the verse with other verses and you will understand accordingly. Insha'Allah.

OKTAR BABUNA:You would know better insha'Allah. You have told this before as well Master; the importance of the People of the Book is told in the hadiths and the life of our Prophet (saas) insha'Allah. There is nothing like this in such sources, like the things written by our viewer.

OKTAR BABUNA: The attitude towards the People of the Book is told in the hadiths; you have told this before Master insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR:They are under the protection of Muslims. How could that be? Allah says "You can eat their food." So you go and eat their food and sit in their house, go to their funerals and weddings. Are you going to go by saying "Oh you accursed people" when you go? How could this be? Whoever is doing evil is meant there insha'Allah.

OKTAR BABUNA:Shall I read the Medinah City State Treaty of our Prophet (saas) Master? The one about Jews and Christians..

ADNAN OKTAR:Read it. Yes.

OKTAR BABUNA: Article 17 of the Madinah City State Treaty laid down by our Prophet (saas) says "Those of the Jews who join us will be assisted and well-treated. They will suffer no injustice and their enemies will not be helped." Article  25: "The Jews of the B'nai Awf are a single united Ummah. They will live by their own faith and Muslims by theirs." Our Prophet (saas) states in the 36th Article: "There will be mutual aid, counsel and goodness between Muslims and Jews." Insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: According to what do these people speak?  The sunnah of our Prophet (saas) is clear and explicit. The command of the Qur'an is clear. Read it once more so that their minds can open up more. Insha'Allah.

OKTAR BABUNA:Insha'Allah master. Article 17 of the Madinah City State Treaty laid down by our Prophet (saas) says "Those of the Jews who join us will be assisted and well-treated. ADNAN OKTAR:Now, there is a Turkish saying which relates that people are very forgetful. They easily forget. Also sometimes they cannot memorize easily. Our Prophet (saas) used to repeat something three times to make it clear. Therefore you repeat it once more by explaining in detail.

OKTAR BABUNA: Article 17 of the Madinah City State Treaty laid down by our Prophet (saas) says "Those of the Jews who join us will be assisted and well-treated." Our Prophet says that they will be treated well. "They will suffer no injustice," no injustice will be done to them. ".. and their enemies will not be helped," he orders. Article  25: "The Jews of the B'nai Awf are a single united Ummah." Our Prophet (saas) states that Jews and Muslims are a single ummah and that they are together. "They will live by their own faith and Muslims by theirs." That is; Muslims will live by their own religion, by Islam, and the Jews will live by the Jewish creed, he commands Our Prophet (saas) states in the 36th Article: "There will be mutual aid, counsel and goodness between Muslims and Jews." He explains Muslims' point of view towards Jews very clearly here and he says "There will be help."

ADNAN OKTAR:Look, is there not compassion here?

OKTAR BABUNA:There is.

ADNAN OKTAR: Right? There is a friendly life full of love and compassion. If they are subject to the sunnah of our Prophet (saas) like I am subject to him, and if they listen to the word of our Prophet (saas), his implementation is explicit, that is his direct implementation. Is it not?
