OKTAR BABUNA: There is a news item about Nur students being sentenced to
imprisonment in Uzbekistan.
ADNAN OKTAR: What does it say?
OKTAR BABUNA: Let me enlarge it, Master. "Oppression and prison
sentences towards religious people, especially Nur students, in Uzbekistan
continue." It says in the article, "Many Nur students were sentenced to penalty as
a result of the oppression by the order of President Islam Kerimov."
ADNAN OKTAR: If the Turkish- Islamic Union is not established; such 
troubles would go on and on. They are afraid that religious people will take over
their state, their government and they panic. However, if the Turkish-Islamic
Union is established, all of these groundless fear, apprehensions and suspicions
would be long gone.  Students of Nur are very decent people, why would they
take over your state? How could this be? What could a handful of people
possibly do? On the contrary, they are to the advantage of Uzbekistan. That is
because Nur students are against terror and anarchy; and they are more inclined
to settling, they are pro-state and they do not want to cause any disorder. They
are people who assume definitive manner against terror and who would like to
tell the religion through science and reason. Therefore, this person does not need
to be worried. This should be politely explained to Mr. Islam Kerimov. The
government must send an explanation. But we can do this as well; of course
everyone can. They can write letters stating that there would be no such risk and
that they do have nothing to be worried about. Right? He must look at things
with a more flexible and free mind. Insha'Allah.
