OKTAR BABUNA:"They have made their oaths into a cloak and barred the Way of Allah. What they have done is truly evil." (Surat al-Munafiqun, 2)

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, the hypocrites need a cloak. The Qur'an points out to this. Their cloak is oath. What is an oath? It is to mention the Name of Allah. What does the hypocrite do? He uses the Qur'an as a shield and makes the hadiths into a cloak and makes the Islamic scholars into a cloak. He approaches Muslims, hidden behind them and as he attacks Muslims, he does so by misinterpreting about the Qur'an and contorting the statements of Islamic scholars to suit his own purpose. It was so in the time of our Prophet (saas). They were acting with the Qur'an. But while doing so, they were distorting the Qur'an with their tongues. That is also revealed in the verse, Allah says they "distort the Book with their tongue" Right?

ADNAN OKTAR:That is he makes it in line with his own interests. For instance our Prophet (saas) says; "Let's go out to struggle, to preach the religion, to spread Islam." He says "O Messenger of Allah. There is a verse mentioning "mothers and sons". Allah says 'Get married.' There is a verse to that extent. There is also a verse commanding us to 'Protect our close ones.' I want to live by this verse if you give permission." So what does 'jihad'(striving on the Path of Allah) command? It commands saving all Muslims. What does he say? "I want to save my family." Why do you want to save your family? Because there is an inheritance; because she will cook for him; because he will go and lie down there; because he will get comfortable there; because they will protect him from dangers. What is there in striving in the Path of Allah? There is danger, hunger, thirst, getting hurt, being imprisoned. The hypocrite does not want this. The hypocrite does not want to serve Allah nor the religion. Therefore, they develop such a style.
