ADNAN OKTAR:In people who witness such attitudes, the error of considering that as the true religion should be corrected. Notice what Almighty Allah says in the Qur'an. I take refuge in Allah from satan: "It is as easy as the religion of Abraham." "Allah does not desire difficulty for you, He desires ease for you." Right? And also Allah stresses the freedom of thought everywhere. He stresses that in many parts. Recently I looked at a verse and also noticed that Allah emphasizes the freedom of belief at the last part of the verse. But the religion Cubbeli communicates does not comprise such an issue. Furthermore he employs a very wicked mocking style and says; "The man converts to the religion and says: 'You cut him from the bottom while embracing the religion and cut from the top when you abandon the religion. What kind of a religion is this?'" People laugh to tears at this.

First of all there is no compulsion in religion. So from where do you deduce that there is compulsion in religion? Cutting from the top etc. From where do you come up with cutting from the top? Right? If a person is irreligious, he is irreligious. Who can meddle in [his beliefs]? Apart from that they say once a man becomes a Muslim he can no longer convert back. Why can't he convert? He converts from irreligion to religion; so he can also convert from religion to irreligion if he wishes so. That is because otherwise he will become a hypocrite. If you tell the man, "Look, in no way say that you are irreligious, never reveal your genuine conviction. If you say so, I will cut you." Then the man says, "OK." Then he will become a hypocrite. Isn't it better for him to honestly say that he is irreligious. Otherwise you will trust in him among Muslims. You will disclose Muslims' secrets to him, he will know all of them. If he is irreligious, he says it out in the open sincerely and he may have the opportunity to be cured, to be corrected. You can educate him, communicate him and help him. Otherwise how will you be able to help? He says he is indeed a Muslim but he is not; he simply hides it. "What needs to be done with him?" we ask. Cubbeli says, "He must be cut." That is what he means by cutting from the top. There is nothing of that sort like cutting. Why should he be cut anyway?
