Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview by Kahramanmaras Aksu TV and Gaziantep Olay TV dated October 21st, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:This one says; "Master sometimes you seem to be furious, why does that happen?" Now fury, that stems from deep devotion to Islam. Aversion is felt for the love of Allah, for the approval of Allah. We wouldn't say "well done", of course we are to respond to that.
"Master Adnan, I do love you so very much. But I do not approve your talking about yourself by constantly saying "me" ." Okay, shall I say "you" when I mean myself? Isn't the pronoun "me" used in Turkish, what am I to say? Shall I say it in English? "Moreover you say that you do like being praised," she says. Well if I am not to make any jokes Efsun, what am I to say to you? It is apparent that it was a joke. I am saying that just for us to laugh and have fun. It would be very weird to take it seriously. Now I couldn't regard this as suitable for beautiful Efsun. If she were here with us now, wouldn't she be chatting with us, joking with us? Would it be okay if I have taken every joke she made seriously? What do I say? I said; "how nice it is to be praised". That is a joke, it is apparent. I am a manifestation of Allah, I am nothing. My image, my conscience, my knowledge is formed by Allah creating me in my brain. Allah is the Absolute Being, I am just a shadow and I am a mortal. Allah is the One Who creates my speech, He is the One Who creates my body, Who creates my everything. Then what difference does it make if I do say the word "me" or do not? The word "me".. as a manner of speech in Turkish, I have to use it for the other people to understand who I mean. If I were to say "you" while talking about me, how would they understand who I mean? Right? That wouldn't do..
