ALTUĞ BERKER: Ali Fersatoglu from Yeni Asya wrote an article based on the statements of Bediuzzaman, Master. The title of the article is "Jihad (striving) must be done not by sword but by pen, science and ideas."

ADNAN OKTAR:  Masha'Allah. Look, "Jihad (striving) not by sword." What does Cubbeli say? He says "We will do it by sword." What does Ali Fersatoglu say? Basing on Bediuzzaman, and above all, according to the Messenger of Allah (saas), the Qur'an and the Sunna of our Prophet (saas), and according to the statements of Bediuzzaman, "It is done by pen, science and ideas." This is what we do. By pen, science and ideas, not by blood. If you make a person Muslim by force, he becomes a hypocrite. Could there be love by force? Could there be respect by force? Could there be faith in Allah by force? You cannot make a person Muslim through compulsion; you would make the man a hypocrite and you would derive him mad.   Nothing else would come out of that. Is it possible to make a person Muslim by humiliating his honor, breaking his pride, and destroying his personal dignity and honor? In Islam, a person's religious honor and Islamic honor is essential. He will be nice-mannered, he will be noble, he will be deep, compassionate, merciful; he will think nicely and he will be very sincere. When there is compulsion, sincerity is gone. Therefore, Almighty Allah reveals in the verse; I see refuge with Allah from the satan, "There is no compulsion in Islam." He says; "He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in religion -the religion of your forefather Ibrahim."Look, it is easy. Allah says; "Allah desires ease for you; He does not desire difficulty for you."
