ADNAN OKTAR: Look, Allah says " What you call the polytheists to follow is very hard for them."So when you say that the Qur'an is enough, they go crazy. They will wage a war against Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) because of this. What will Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) say? He will say that the Qur'an is enough and that the Messenger of Allah (saas) explained it very well. Right? He will say "Let's abide by the Qur'an as the Prophet (saas) explained it." But look Allah says; "What you call the polytheists to follow is very hard for them." This is the root of the hypocrites' struggle in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh); that it is very hard for them. Being called to the Qur'an will be very hard for them to follow.

Surat al-Qasas, 36: "But when Moses brought them Our Clear Signs" Look, he [Moses] brings Allah's Command: the Torah. "They said, 'This is nothing but trumped-up magic. We never heard anything like this among our earlier forefathers.'" So the Prophet Moses (pbuh) calls them to the Book of Allah, they say "We did not hear this from past scholars and allames. How did you come up with this?" They do not take the Book of Allah as basis, they take their own superstitions as basis. This trouble is not only in Muslims but also in Jews. That was Surat al-Qasas;36.  This is the same in Christians as well. There are many superstitions in Christianity as well.

Surat al-Muminun, 66: "My Signs were recited to you and you turned round on your heels," Look Allah's verses are recited, the Qur'an is recited but what do the bigots do? Allah says "You turned round on your heels." They turn towards superstitions. "Arrogant towards it," this is the main characteristic of hypocrites, arrogance and pride are the main characteristics of unbelievers. "Talking arrant nonsense all night long." Those generally gather at nights like owls. Almighty Allah reveals to his Messenger and thus it is stated in the hadiths that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will answer to them at night, insha'Allah; in the hadiths of our Prophet (saas).

"Do they not ponder these words? Has anything come to them that did not come to their ancestors the previous peoples?"Surat al-Muminun, 68. Look, "Do they not ponder these words?" This is the reason of the trouble in Islam world, that they do not think about the Qur'an properly. Look, "Has anything come to them that did not come to their ancestors the previous peoples?" What comes? Superstitions come to those men.

Look Almighty Allah says again, in Surat ash-Shura, 21 "Or do they have partners who have laid down a religion for them for which Allah has not given any authority?" They make up a sharia on their own, they make up a religion on their own with extra additions. A completely different religion which is against human nature, which people cannot practice. Allah curses this in the Qur'an.

Surat Al 'Imran, 78: "Among them is a group" among those hypocrites and polytheists,"who distort the Book with their tongues," Allah says that they distort the commands of the Qur'an with their tongues, "so that you think it is from the Book when it is not from the Book." They pretend as if it were in the Qur'an, you ask "Where did you come up with this command?" He says "Allah says this." You say "Show it." He really opens up and shows it. But he distorts it with his tongue; he misinterprets. He deliberately evaluates the incident with another meaning of the word. For example, if  the word "door" is used in the Qur'an, he says that "sky" is meant here.

PRESENTER: Do they do this by using different tones of Arabic?

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, of course. He says "I am an expert linguist, I know it very well," he gives a completely different meaning and makes up new prohibitions. "Look," he says, "Allah implicates that in here, do you not see  it?" However, Allah does not render a judgment through implication. Religion would not be established upon implications; verses containing clear judgments are required. For example, Allah says " Do not drink wine." He says this explicitly. For example Allah says "Perform the salat (prayer)," He does not imply. For instance "Do not gamble." Allah says this very clearly. But the man does not take it that way and he puts it into a completely different manner by distorting it with his tongue. He does not act according to the verse containing clear judgments.

Allah explains the origin of the trouble in the Islam world now. Look, "Among them is a group who distort the Book with their tongues so that you think it is from the Book when it is not from the Book." Allah says "They say, 'It is from Allah'." They say "Look this is the explicit command of the Qur'an."

However, they come with that through implications. The commands Allah reveals in the Qur'an cannot be stated through implication. It requires clear judgments. Allah says "However, but it is not from Allah. They tell a lie against Allah and they know it." Then people say; "Where did this bigotry come from?" Allah explains where it came from. He explains where superstition came from, Allah explains the mentality of the gang of bigots here.

Surah Fussilat, 40: "Those who adulterate Our Signs are not concealed from Us." Those who secretly change the commands of Allah would not be concealed from Us, says Allah.

Surat al-Muminun, 53: "But they disagreed and split up, dividing into sects, each party exulting in what it had." Almighty Allah says that everyone of them came up with a new understanding of religion, that everyone of them introduced a new religion and that they are pleased with that. Even though there is only one religion. In the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), there is one religion; only Islam, insha'Allah. As a result of this, look, Almighty Allah brings the Prophet (saas) to His Sight in the Hereafter, all people are there. But of course when we say His Sight, some people assume that Allah is in a specific direction; that is not in that sense. Allah manifests; our Prophet (saas) answers to His Manifestation. In the questioning, the Prophet (saas) is asked and he answers. He only has one complaint from the ummah. When Almighty Allah asks what his complaint is from his ummah; it is a 1300 year, 1400 year old ummah. Right? And every prophet might have a complaint about his ummah. Our Prophet (saas) has only one complaint; one, single complaint. Look Allah explains it there in the Qur'an now:"The Messenger says, 'My Lord, my people treat this Qur'an as something to be ignored'." He is explaining the characteristic of these crooks; they distort it with their tongues, swindle, factionalize the religion, turn the religion into a completely different form, make additions, make up superstitions, add to the Qur'an, extract from the Qur'an; and there becomes a completely different religion. And this becomes a religion that people cannot live. It would thus turn into a religion, which is against human nature and which crushes people. Our Prophet (saas) tells its origins and states this as a single complaint. Look, when the hypocrites are questioned, they say -hypocrites and polytheists- "If Allah had willed we would not have associated anything with Him, nor would our fathers; nor would we have made anything unlawful."They say that it happened because it was in our destiny. That is true, but you did it. Right? Of course, he behaves cunningly there and says that it was in his destiny. The man is a murderer, that is in his destiny as well; but Allah would punish him. Being good is also in a person's destiny, but its reward is Paradise. Look, " 'If Allah had willed we would not have associated anything with Him, nor would our fathers; nor would we have made anything unlawful'. In the same way the people before them also lied until they felt Our violent force. Say: 'Do you have some knowledge you can produce for us? You are following nothing but conjecture'." Superstition equals conjecture.When asked how he made it up, he says that it is conjecture, mere guessing. "You are only guessing." All is based on conjecture and guessing, not on revelation."Say: 'Allah's is the conclusive argument." So Allah says it is the verses of the Qur'an. Almighty Allah says that no superstition can be brought up against the verses of the Qur'an. "This is My Path and it is straight," that is the Qur'an; abiding by the Qur'an,"so follow it. Do not follow other ways or you will become cut off from His Way." Almighty Allah says not to go out of the Qur'an. Look for hypocrites and polytheists, Almighty Allah says: "They keep others from it" that is away from the Qur'an, meaning they prevent people to get close to the Qur'an, "and avoid it themselves." They do not get close themselves."They are only destroying themselves but they are not aware of it." Allah says. They are not aware. They are ruining themselves, they are ruining their lives, they are destroying their health, they are destroying their happiness, their Hereafter is ruined, meaning they go to the Hell. Allah says, look: "They are only destroying themselves but they are not aware of it." Surat al-An'Am, 26.

Look, Almighty Allah says for the hypocrites of that time: "No indeed! He is obdurate about Our Signs." So Allah says he resists to the commands of the Qur'an."I will force him to climb a fiery slope. He reflected and considered. Curse him, how he considered! Again curse him, how he considered! Then he looked. Then he frowned and glowered. Then he drew back and was proud." He does not accept the command of the Qur'an; it is hard for him. He would immediately accept it, if it were a superstition, but he finds the command of the Qur'an hard to follow. Surat al-An'am, 115: "The Words of your Lord" the Qur'an "are perfect in truthfulness and justice." Now, Allah says that everything that is true is alright. Everything is complete in terms of justice. The Qur'an includes all. Look, what does "perfect" mean? It includes all. "No one can change His Words." Almighty Allah says "You cannot make additions or extractions." "He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."

Surat al-Baqara, 101: "When a Messenger comes to them from Allah confirming what is with them, a group of those who have been given the Book disdainfully toss the Book of Allah behind their backs, just as if they did not know." They do not accept the Book, they accept superstition. They do not act according to the Book. Surat al-Baqara, 75: "Do you really hope they will follow you in faith when a group of them heard Allah's Word and then, after grasping it, knowingly distorted it?" says Allah. Allah says that they were making additions blatantly even though they knew that it is not the command of Allah. They come up with many unlawful actions in the Qur'an through implication; this is the characteristic of hypocrites. But people think that these are from the Qur'an, that they are the commands of Allah and they suffer for no reason.
