ALTUĞ BERKER: E.O. had an column today Master, in Hurriyet [daily] . He wrote that developments are not positive like people assume, but they are negative. He wrote that not the West but authoritarian regimes are taken as a model. He asked "Some people say that Turkey is going towards advanced democracy with the steps being taken. However, the basis of a authoritarian regime is being established. What is our project for the 21st century? South Korea, Russia, China Or the European Union?"

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, we do want the European Union but entrance with an approach like saying; "Take care of us, we have no money, we have no food, o European Union, save us!" does not suit our people. This is a very humiliating and belittling thing. Our people are proud and they are honorable; they would disdain to do something like this, they would not even mention it. They would want to enter the European Union, wealthy and strong and as a leader. Consequently, they will enter the European Union as the leader of the Turkish Islamic Union, as the leader of Islamic world and they will enter as wealthy. Not as poor and weak, insha'Allah.
