Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on Kocaeli TV and ABA TV dated October 9th, 2010
ADNAN OKTAR:"Whenever you recite the Qur'an, seek refuge with Allah from the accursed satan."I am seeking refuge with Allah from the accursed satan very frequently when I read the Qur'an. Look Allah commands us to do so, this is a religious obligation, I am saying this, because Allah commands us to do so. "He [satan] has no authority over those who have faith and put their trust in their Lord." Look satan has no power. Over whom? "..over those who turn to their Lords and who have faith." Now, you completely submitted yourself to Allah, you love Allah very much and you know that Allah creates everything; let us assume -May Allah forbid- that you got arrested; there is a good in it. Or you became disabled; there is a good in it. Or you became poor, lost your possessions and goods; there is a good in it. Your house is burnt down; there is a good in it. But some people with weak minds turn away from faith and religion upon this, and so they follow the satan. I, for instance, am 54 years old. Whenever something against me happened, I saw that there was something good behind it. But without any exception; in every single one of them. I have faced with thousands of incidents. Right? I mean, a person may not see its wisdom afterwards; so can understand in the Hereafter but I saw almost all of them. Allah always showed me the good in it after it happened. Insha'Allah. "He only has authority over those who take him as a friend and associate others with Allah." Of course, we will understand many of the goods in the Hereafter but I, for one, saw most of them. "He only has authority over those who take him as a friend.." He, who has left himself, who has left himself to his hands and submitted to satan; satan has sunk upon him.".. and associate others with Allah He acts according to satan. For example Allah reveals the lawful and the unlawful behaviors in the Qur'an; but that is not enough for that man. Since he is under the influence of satan, he either makes up a superstition or makes up an additional command from his mind by diverting his tongue.
For example, Almighty Allah has not revealed one thing as unlawful in the Qur'an, so he is looking for an excuse to make that thing unlawful. He has to make it unlawful. He looks but cannot find a hadith, then he employs his logic. He is saying; "Since this is so, this must be like that, therefore that should be like this according to logic." In the Qur'an, there is no lawful and unlawful act defined by logic. To define something unlawful, clear judgment is necessary; an open, explicit one. It needs to be written as "this act is unlawful". Unlawful acts cannot be defined by employing successive reasoning, saying "since this is how it is so, that would be like this and since it is like "this", that one should be like that. "
